Quick turn around
Thursday. 9.26.13 9:49 pm
I'm scheduled for that morning shift at Sam's tomorrow. Hopefully it's painless. I will most likely never work this early again, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. It's entirely possible for that to become a regular thing on Saturday's, but since they usually have me closing, I'm sure it won't happen any time soon.

I get to sleep in an extra hour tomorrow morning than I normally would for my regular job. Then again, it's my day off so I'll be waking up far too early. Oh well. I'll be getting off work at 11:30 and still having the rest of the day to kind of do whatever. It's another pseudo day off.

I got a chunk of my debt paid today. I still owe about $50, but they were willing to work with me on the first option since I pretty much had most of what they were asking for. I'm not getting charged any more so I'll only be short $400 from my trip instead of just over $500. So come the 11th, I'll have on debt collector off my back. I'm still dealing with paying off another one and there's a third one that just started contacting me, but I know what that's for. It'll be the last thing to get taken care of.

A coworker looked at my tires tonight and told me that three of them are bad. I was planning on getting new tires soon anyway, but I was going to wait until after my trip. I may still wait, but at least now I know what the state of them is. The plan was to make sure I had enough money to buy 4 brand new tires and get them insured. I'll have to look online to see around how much that costs.

With all this paying off stuff, I may just keep the Sam's job until I'm caught up on everything. Hell, once I get my debt or car paid off, I will have a lot of extra money coming in so the second job won't really be necessary. All I have to do is get my vacation taken then I'll dive deeper in to what I owe and how much time is needed to pay it all off.

Time to watch some videos while I let my hair dry before calling it a night.

Until tomorrow. . .

'Tis the season
Wednesday. 9.25.13 9:34 pm
Fall wasted no time moving in and making itself comfortable, and I'm okay with that. It barely got above 60 today, despite the fact that the sun managed to break through the clouds. I don't mind the sun so much when it's not hot. Sunny with puffy white clouds and temps in the mid 60s is ideal. I like the rain and the dreary, wet weather, but I've lived here long enough that I don't want that every day anymore. We'll see what Mother Nature has in store for us this coming winter.

Regular work was a bitch today. I wanted to shove my radio through my boss's face. He was just pissing me off left and right, straight from the start of the shift. I hate, hate, hate when people lecture about doing something wrong, then tell me 5 minutes later to do that exact thing. Ugh! It was just one thing after another and I was so ready to get out of there. I needed to get in a nap before going in to the part time job so that I could lower by blood pressure before I ended up killing someone.

Luckily, the second job wasn't too bad and we were all out of there on time. There's a scheduling issue and the manager needs to hurry his butt back from Vegas so that he can fix it. In reality, all I really care about is having my birthday off, which had already been approved pretty much upon my hire, and this new system put me on the schedule anyway. I have plans already. I've had plans since before I got the job. There's no way I'm working that day. Sorry. Hopefully I can talk to a supervisor and since the day was already approved, it shouldn't be hard to get it fixed, but still. I shouldn't even have to worry about it being there in the first place.

This coming week leading up to my birthday is going to be a rather long week. At my part time job I work 4 hours tomorrow, 4 1/2 on Friday morning {an exception due to having this past Monday off} 8 on Saturday, off Sunday, 4 hours 15 min Monday and Tuesday, 4 hours 45 minutes Wednesday and 5 1/2 hours Thursday. It's so messed up! This is all on top of working my regular 40 hour per week job. Ugh. Once my birthday passes, then it's kind of fine. I'll need the 19th off for the party and then I can just work my silly butt off until my trip. I just have to get through the next few weeks first.

Alright, time to watch some videos and perhaps get to bed before 11. We'll see how well that goes.

Until tomorrow. . .

Drained
Tuesday. 9.24.13 9:40 pm
I'm starting to feel slightly burned out by all this working that I've been doing. I've had this second job for almost 2 months now and I'm getting tired of having to go there 5 days a week. I don't want to change my availability just yet, though, because I want to be able to save up as much as I can. I'll probably drop my availability down to 3-4 days a week once I get back and continue with that until I get sick enough of it to just quit.

The work itself hasn't been too bad. I mean, there are some days that are busier than others and I'm okay with that. I'm just getting to the point where I actually miss having the ability to just chill out and relax at home. Or have the ability to make plans with my friends without having to set up specific times and dates due to the crazy work schedule I have. I'm sure I'll be fine once I have a couple days off, like next weekend for my birthday, and can recover and recoup. We'll see what happens.

I had to turn on my heater tonight to test it out and make sure it actually works before it gets too cold and I have to deal with what I had to last spring where it broke for a week and my place got down in to the 50s. It's working just fine and it has that lovely smell that comes with it not having been turned on in a few months. I'll leave the thermostat set to 67 so that it'll come on and off throughout the night and hopefully burn off the last of the dust. Also, this means that I'll be nice and comfy cozy in the morning when I wake up.

Until tomorrow. . .

Bust
Monday. 9.23.13 6:48 pm
The Chili's in Seattle sucks! It's INSIDE SeaTac Airport so only passengers can access it. How ridiculous! It wasn't even the food that I was looking forward to; it was the charity aspect of it. I guess I'll just have to plan better for next year. It sucks even more too because I actually made sure that I had the time and the money to go this year. Ugh.

My friend and I did still go out to eat. We came back to the city and ate at Blue Moon Burgers instead. I've heard good things and I think it was worth it. For two burgers, two drinks and a side of onion rings, it was only $35. It's not a place I would eat at all the time, but it's another burger place that I would like to go back to at some point. We walked around for a while, stopping here and there to look around, but then she had to go to class and I needed to head home so we parted ways.

Tomorrow is Tuesday, which is probably the worst day of the week for me. It's the middle of my regular work week and for some reason it's always busy. I also work the other job tomorrow and even there it's been super busy the last couple Tuesdays. I really hope it's not, but I have serious doubts.

I'll most likely go to bed early again tonight; I was in bed before 9:30 last night. It felt good to get some extra sleep. I still would rather sleep in, but going to bed early when I can is nice. During the rest of the week, I'm not getting off work until 9 so going to bed early those nights are kind of out of the question.

Until tomorrow. . .

Sleepy
Sunday. 9.22.13 7:21 pm
I wasn't expecting to work 4 hours of overtime today, but it'll look nice on my paycheck. As a result, however, I'm feeling pretty drained. I usually look forward to Sunday afternoon because it's my only afternoon to myself, other than my one day off each week. Oh well. I mean, all I planned on doing was napping so I'll probably just end up going to bed early.

Today marked the first official start to Fall and it was in full force. We barely got above 60 and it rained off and on the whole day. This is the type of weather I live for. I'm glad that Fall is finally here. It'll be nice falling asleep and waking up to the rain.

Tomorrow is Chili's Big Day. I'll have to remember to bring a change of clothes with me so that I don't have to make a stop on the way home. I'll have to be really careful with my caloric intake so that I can kind of indulge at Chili's, but if necessary I can do a fasting day later in the week. Perhaps their menu will have calorie counts so that I can actually pick that way. I guess we'll see.

Until then. . .

Easier
Saturday. 9.21.13 9:35 pm
I feel like when my manager isn't there, the one that I was crushing on, it's actually easier for me to do my thing. I hate feeling distracted and that's what happens when I know he's there. Also, the supervisors that I wasn't too sure about at first are warming up to me. I'm worried less about certain things than I was before, which is a good thing. It makes it easier to sell items when I'm not stressed about it. I really don't care anymore if I actually sell stuff. If I do, I do. If not, then I'm at least trying. Besides, I only have 2 1/2 more months of this and I can quit. I probably won't, just so that I can get my debt paid off faster, but still. If I need to, I can; just have to wait until the end of December/beginning of January.

Tomorrow starts back up to my daily grind. Hopefully it's an easy day. Sunday usually is so my fingers are crossed. Then Monday is Chili's Big Day with their St. Jude's Childhood Cancer Research night. 100% of their net profits go to St. Jude's for Childhood Cancer Research. This is the first time since I heard about it that I've been able to make it and I'm excited. My friend is coming with me so it'll be even more awesome. I can't wait.

Alright, I'm gonna relax and wind down before calling it a night.

Until tomorrow. . .
