So sayeth my grandma. They only get a couple of cold days a year in Hawaii, apparently. And those days are not freezing cold. Therefore, if you detest the cold with a vengeance and are loaded, I suggest moving to Hawaii. What happened today... let me think... I was almost completely out of it today. During Lunch I was staring at the ground and remarked that I felt that, should I lay down upon it, I would sink into the pavement. Alice grabbed me by the arm and said "Okay, let's go to the office and get you some help." :P No idea what's wrong. You'd think I was taking drugs or something. If I'm like this normally though, I shudder to think of what my life would be like under the influence of illegal substances. Nope, I'm clean, people. At least, I am to my knowledge. If somebody's been slipping crack into my food or something that could be the problem. Walked home with Alice, and we talked outside her house for a long time. I brought up the joke-flirting thing again. It's not really a big issue for either of us, we know it's not serious. Although I must admit, I'd find it extremely amusing if other people took it seriously. There are pictures on my camera, I think, but I can't upload them right now. Using the laptop that was "designed for Windows 98," joyfulness. I hate this thing. But it's better than nothing, I guess. Alice refused to eat two Cheerios I gave her at school. Marina and I both urged her to just quickly consume them but she kept insisting she wasn't hungry and that her stomach hurt. Two Cheerios, man. That's like two calories. She never ate them. >:( Angie turned to me at Brunch when I was half-ranting about this and said "Wow, I didn't know she was this anorexic." Text-only entries are boring when they're from me. I'm sorry. :( My uncle explained to me why guys that act like jerks get all the girls. When they do act nice it makes it seem like it's worth a lot more. He gave me an example about American Idol, like when Paula says good stuff nobody cares because she always does, but when Simon says good stuff it matters because he never does. So yeah, that's how it works. But only on girls with low self-esteem. Which is most of them. [But guys, if you read it, don't use this as an excuse to act like an asshole] Clickies Comment! (3) | Recommend! I suck at citations Thursday, May 1, 2008 So I just fixed my bibliography for the second time. And I am NOT printing out the whole paper just to get that one page. It's a waste, man. He wouldn't even look at the rest, anyway. I'll just paperclip the Works Cited page on top of the stack and hand it in... again. Damn MLA format. I helped Alice and Nayana with their Spanish project afterschool today. They were making some sort of Spanish cake things... My presence there was pretty much pointless, but it was justified because I was giving them "moral support" and Alice wanted me there. Nayana had some Pepto-Bismint ice cream. (Peppermint, but for some reason it was pink) That sounds like a picture caption but there's no picture... my apologies. We had class elections today AND I got to go to two, not one, TWO, sessions of the GSA panel. Oh boy! (The sarcasm is dripping off my words like syrup) So basically I spent a long freaking time in the auditorium today. It's not that I don't support GSA, I do, I just don't think I needed to go in there to listen to the exact same thing twice. I'm tired... not that hungry, though. I had a ginger ale at Alice's and a cucumber when I got home. Marina ate the Cheerios I brought to school... -Sigh- Comment! (4) | Recommend! Pretend this is the second part of yesterday's entry Wednesday, April 30, 2008 I've realized that my titles lately have been kinda long. :| The pancakes I had before. ![]() Pac...cakes. ![]() (They were pretty tiny, but I had four) This is Olga the Heptapus Maid. ![]() That's part of a larger pictures. I have at least ten of the mind scarring things now, but I haven't scanned any. And that's possibly a good thing. Alice was doing the Day of Silence thing for GSA today. So she didn't talk until after sixth period... she kind of... laughed... silently... though. We got awesome garlic cheese focaccia from Costco. And more mini cucumbers. But they aren't as good as the old kind... :( Oh well. At least I have something to munch on now. ...Gotta write my Music Genesis review... This game is so addictive Comment! (9) | Recommend! Dammit, we're not calling him BWUH! Tuesday, April 29, 2008 Alice wants to codename a guy BWUH. I said no. Reasons? -It's stupid -It sounds like you've got something just a bit wrong with your brain -It's STUPID -It stands for Boy With Ugly Hair, which will only apply temporarily and therefore is not a suitable codename longterm -IT'S STUPID Of course, there are worse alternatives. Like GAY. (I kid you not, unfortunately I came up with this one) Garcon avec yeux. It's vague at best and terrible but it formed in that chaotic primordial soup (Hey those educational games did teach me something) that is my imagination and sadly I remembered it. I seem to be plagued with strange ideas. It's not that I'm even trying to come up with stuff sometimes, like Babycakes Wilson popped out of nowhere. Inspiration strikes me alright, but never in a useful or practical way. Varsha's got appendicitis and she's not been in school for the past few days... We don't know when she'll be back. I'm pretty sure she's perfectly fine but there's a little worried curiousity going around anyway. ---Gotta finish this entry later--- Comment! (5) | Recommend! There is a link in this post Monday, April 28, 2008 Places I am never eating at again Trans fat scares me. :( Just finished revising my research paper... Gotta print out a French worksheet... It was damn hot today. I walked outside this morning without a jacket and was cold the whole walk to school, then later today it felt like a summer night... night, really. It had that kind of oppressive, stuffy feeling. I had pancakes for breakfast. And they were awesome. :D There was a squirrel in the trap on my patio when I got home from school... Poor thing. :( Its face was raw and red because it had been trying to get out for so long. Alice helped me figure out how to open the trap and I let it go... Then when my mom came home I told her about how cruel it was to do that and how I didn't mind if they ate the birdseed, we shouldn't do that because it's horrible. She just said my dad didn't want the squirrels to eat his garden stuff. Squirrels have to eat too... :/ [I've noticed that I say it like "haf" when I mean 'must' and "hav" when I mean own...] Like, I haf to leave in ten minutes. I hav ten dollars. Hm. Ohcrapwheredidthisholeinmypantscomefrom. And why is it in that spot. X| (I think it's time to retire these jeans; I'm not really into the whole "crotchless pants" thing) Comment! (2) | Recommend! Damn G imps! Sunday, April 27, 2008 Yes, that's right, G imp. Not Gimp. They keep killing me or... something... in KoL. >:( Anyway, that concert I went to last night. This is the inside of the Warfield Theatre. ![]() We were kinda far from the stage... sorry. ![]() I had to lighten some of these so it's a little grainy... ![]() They had some interesting visual effects. ![]() Not sure if I got any pictures where they were shining bright lights into our eyes... ![]() It says "Crazy Horse Gentlemen's Club." ![]() I took a picture of this because we told Angie we went to a rave at a strip club. :P Actually it was just next to the Warfield. And here's the terrible picture of the marquee... ![]() Today I volunteered for a wildflower show with Lucy and Angie... We didn't do much, cleaned up the tables and straightened the signs, then stayed in the break room for the majority of the time. I showed them how to use a magnifying glass to burn stuff... ![]() There was some sort of mini car race going on out in the parking lot. ![]() Yeah, so not much else. We led Angie on for awhile, and she thought that we were dating or that I'd met a girl... it was funny. We kept laughing and she assumed it was because we were hiding something. They had these veggie sandwiches for lunch that were really good without the tomato... Comment! (3) | Recommend!
