You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

La mort
Sunday, November 12, 2006
I must confess, I hate to see dead things. This seems a bit odd too, since I have a fascination with dark and somewhat macabre pictures. :P

Dead blogs bother me. :(
Dead forum topics bother me. :(
Dead people.... well okay they don't really bother me that much.
Dead animals.... bother me a lot. :'(

I never got to finish Grim Fandango. :(

Oh no!

I think I'm getting fat. :'(

I hope I don't look like this.

When I was much younger I wanted to have an imaginary friend. Unfortunately I wasn't deranged enough to conjure one up. So I pretended I had an imaginary boyfriend. His name was either Jack or Jake, I think it was probably Jake. And he liked penguins. Or maybe he was a penguin. I really don't know.

I wrote, in one of those cheap, 10-page, Jesus and cross on the cover little notebooks you get for Easter, "Today I went with Jake(Jack?) to the playground. He went down the slide. He's my boyfriend."

Yes, I really was a sad, delusional little child.

Saturday, November 11, 2006
So I modified my module a bit. You know, the music one.... "Better than drugs ;)"

It now has a Gruvsonic player in addition to my Stickam player, plus several internet radio links and some link to a website where you can... like... record stuff or something.

I like my music. It's good. Listen to the rave one. it's awesome.

Yeah... that was pretty much it.

Hawks?!?!?!
Friday, November 10, 2006
I forgot to say before....

My mom told me a hawk was trying to eat my budgies. My budgie birdies! Can you believe it?!?!??! I was so scared and so angry at the same time. If I had caught that hawk.... oh...... well let's say something bad would've happened. But it was TRYING TO EAT MY BABY BIRDIES!!!!! How dare it!

Thankfully they escaped the evil hawk. Their cage was outside and apparently the hawk was on top of the cage, pecking at the bars. My poor parakeets were crouched at the bottom, probably too scared to move. My brother and mom chased the nasty bird away and took the birds inside.

By the way it's really horrible how they kill the canary and the dove in The Prestige. That was the only part that made me really sad. Tis the bird lover in me...

Picture again:

No idea where this is from but it's funny.

What a day
Friday, November 10, 2006
So I got my Threadless shirts yesterday, and I wore the Exotica one today. Fun stuff.

Busy-ish day today.... went out with a friend (feelthesound902) to see The Prestige. It was cool. Then we walked around this little mall for a while until another friend came. My mom took us to a place to eat, then home, where we walked to the park. Went on the swings a bit, tried to throw it over the top.... didn't succeed.... yeah.

We ate catfish that tasted like dirt. Literally. I'm not kidding. It was one of the worst things I've ever tried to eat.

That took about six hours I'd say. It was fun. :)

Nothing like penguins cheering to brighten up your day.
