A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

Another idea Friday, October 3, 2008 So there was the Expo idea, and now there's the Interview idea. If (when?) we get a bigger group of active members here, I think it would be kinda cool to have a featured member (like there was supposedly in the olden days) and an interview. I don't know how it would work but I think it'd be interesting. Maybe the interview could be conducted by IM or something.... There could be an account for the featured members/interviews. Each entry could be an interview, and maybe it could have a picture of the person or some sort of visual to represent them. I dunno. But yeah, just a suggestion. (I feel like an age is coming to an end here at Nutang...) [I'd volunteer to do it if anybody was interested] --- Did anybody read the dream poem...? Comment! (5) | Recommend! ...Nobody would come Friday, October 3, 2008 I was thinking earlier about expos and cons. I've never been to one as far as I know. But I keep hearing about them and seeing news about them. So I was thinking, what if we had a Nutang Expo where members could get together and do random crap? What would happen? Would people come? How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? --- I had this great picture that took me at least an hour to draw, and I was going to post it here but then it froze on me and I couldn't save it or anything and now I'm depressed. :| -Sigh- Not the greatest of days. ---Edit--- Reality is not enough for my mind. [2nd password] Thursday, October 2, 2008 Comment! (2) | Recommend! Sneaky! Thursday, October 2, 2008 I'm writing this at school. :0 We're doing college stuff in the computer lab. Two more classes and I can go home. :D I WILL TAKE PICTURES, and LOTS OF THEM. Seriously. Just wait. Comment! (3) | Recommend! GAH NOT AGAIN! Wednesday, October 1, 2008 I almost had a heartattack when I opened iTunes and nothing was there. D: THANKFULLY, I saved my library just yesterday. I'm still starting to really hate Apple though. This is, what? the fourth time my library has disappeared on me? At least this time I haven't lost anything... but still. D: WTF Apple, WTF. [It appears to be getting my hundreds of podcasts first... :|] --- In other, amazingly awesome news, MY CAMERA HAS BEEN FIXED! :D It's charging now. :) --- I had no idea I had so many podcasts.... although since combined they run longer than a day, I should've known... (Man, almost four hundred though! :0) --- School today kinda sucked. We ran in Weight Training because of... oh yeah, he didn't say. He just said to head to the track. BOY OH BOY. I heard something about "that's the sign for chewing tobacco, Alexander!" and we had to run. What. The. Hell. It was really sunny out, and hot. And we didn't stretch. And this is the first time we've run this year. HE MADE US RUN A MILE. I hate his teaching method. Or maybe I should say punishment method. >:( --- We're doing a senior ad. (Me, Varsha, Lucy, Angie) And now that my camera is fixed I can actually take pictures to put on it. :D Unfortunately the dumbass yearbook crew decided we couldn't do our own layout so we have to just send in photos and captions. :( Blehhh. --- I need to figure out what to do for Halloween. Comment! (3) | Recommend! General Silliness Episode Whoevenknowsanymore Tuesday, October 0, 2008 He joined for the great discounts on all his favorite products. [I just wanted someone to say "handsome devil") ---End of edit--- ONLY A MONTH UNTIL HALLOWEEN! :0 Egad, I need to find a costume. [By the way, when did I stop saying 'oh boo'?] I re-created the bandaged-faced girl in Physio. The teacher was lecturing so I sketched her and sort of gave her a full body... except it's hidden by this big sheet/towel thing. Also her feet are in a position that I'm fairly certain would be quite uncomfortable in real life. But it's okay. We colored in Physio. That was pretty much all we did besides listen to the lecture. I was wondering why it seemed so familiar, and Alice said I probably did it back in Bio. (I had the same teacher) So I need to finish coloring all the little.... things whose names I know not yet, and such. Also there was an Econ thing I was supposed to do but I can't open the file he posted so I guess I just won't be able to do it. (And I don't know anyone in the class I could ask for help, except for this one friend-of-a-friend-with-whom-I-am-friendly, but I don't know her number. :|) --- Right now I'm listening to more chill electronic music... Eternally by Can 7 ft. Angela Caran, to be exact... It's in the player, if you want to hear... Supposedly we're changing seats in Lit. next class period? I really, really, don't want to sit next to the nerdy overachievers who all picked Batman as their hero for the collage project. D: And I'm not kidding, guys. They seriously did. And their "collages" were mostly just a couple of pictures printed out and glued to a paper. It was terrible! Though I'm 99% sure I won't get to sit next to any of my friends, or rather, friendly acquaintances, I'm hoping I'll be near someone I can at least talk to. :| [Random: I seem to be zoning out at weird times and just not realizing things. Ex: My mom hands me her purse/bag to hold. I hold it for a few minutes, then look down and wonder how it got there. At least, I'm assuming that's how it happens... maybe something supernatural and teleport-y is going on here. :0] ---Edit--- The video's eh, but the song isn't bad. Comment!
