You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

If all goes well he should be here in a few hours. Eeeeeeeeeek.

Last night I realized that if he spent the night in the airport, he probably wouldn't have gotten to brush his teeth, so kissing him might be kinda yucky. X|

After all he's been through though, I kinda feel like he does deserve to be kissed. Heh. :(

I used to think that 'snog' was a gross word to use for kissing, but now I realize that what it describes is gross and therefore it's a completely acceptable term to use.

...He texted me at 5:21 this morning, but I wasn't awake yet (understandably)... So then I texted him back about two and a half hours later but I didn't get a reply. :/

But that probably means he's on a plane, right? :D If he was still stuck in that airport he'd find a way to call me or text me or something.

Hehe I can't waitttttttttt.

YAY mostly

"Home" sure changed a lot while I was away. :/

They rearranged a lot of things, so everything is kinda disorienting. A lot of the furniture looks lower than I remember...

My mom likes to say "it's not that different except for Grandma lives in your room now."

X|

I was really looking forward to having privacy and personal space. It's not that I don't like my grandma or something, but...... ehhh.

Also I keep getting headaches. It was really bad earlier because I was trying to book a flight for Boyfriend Dearest (yes I will be calling him that here now) and I was having trouble concentrating. My mom was being exceedingly unhelpful ("you're learning!") so I got a bit irritable, but it's all okay now.

I'm so happy. This is the happiest I've been in ages.

I can't wait to see him. :D

Guyssss I'm on a plannnnneeeee. Heh.

I did not end up having to spend eighteen hours in the airport. I got bumped up to a flight that left like thirteen hours earlier than the one I was scheduled for.

Wheeeee SEE THIS WAS NOT A BAD IDEA AFTER ALL.

Free ride to the airport + going home earlier. Yay. :D

I miss Boyfriend Dearest though. :( I want him to visit me so bad, but the whole thing is still a little uncertain right now. I'm seriously considering saying I'll pay half the airfare for him.... :S

Gonna be home so soooooooooooooooooon. So exciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiited. Yay.

Purge
Friday, December 11, 2009
I feel sick. Tired and sick.

I want to throw up. It feels like maybe, just maybe, after the contents of my stomach were out, maybe the rest would follow.

If I just kept retching after all whatever half-digested food was gone, could I get rid of the other things?

Could I vomit up everything I've learned all these years? Could I expel all the time spent worrying and working and wondering?

I guess I'd choke on some of it. The taste of life sticks in your mouth.

But if I kept trying, could I eventually purge it all, every last bit... and leave it all, the good and bad... a mess on the floor?

No more memories, no more knowledge.

I want to go back to when I had nothing.

Enough of that...
Thursday, December 10, 2009
I was writing a long and rant-y post, but decided not to publish it.

Yeah, I'm kind of angry right now. There is definitely an irritated undercurrent in my river of emotions. No, I do not think I will write about it here.

My friends have heard enough already, I'm sure.

I think that for Christmas I am going to ask for some noise cancelling headphones.

Matter: not resolved, but getting there.
