You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

"Thank goodness it's Thursday!" - Varsha

Browsing more of the internet (as always, because I apparently have nothing better to do).

Looks like he's saying "it's got seeds!" or something at the end.

I forgot to bring the cookies I made yesterday to school. :( So I will definitely bring them tomorrow... but then there's the problem of Angelica having like, Gov first period I think and I don't have a first, and I come to school just when the bell rings. (The first bell, the one that ends first period- after that we have five minutes to get to class) And uhhhhh the only person I know who has class with her is Christina and Christina has Gov with Angelica.

Man. :/ I'm starting to wonder if maybe I shouldn't just bring them and only give them to Angelica if I find her.

Just checking my email, and ShamWow spammed me!

I never understood why people would buy something with where "Sham" is in the brand name. I mean, shampoo, that's okay. Shamrocks, yeah. But seriously, you switch ShamWow around and it's WowSham. As in "wow, what a sham."

---

Okay now I will actually seriously work on the comic I started a couple of days ago. Really. :P

This is a long commercial [Updated]
Wednesday, January 14, 2009

I guess that most of the guys in this commercial "deserve" to be in the dog house, but the vacuum guy and the RAM guy I didn't see a problem with.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I would like a new vacuum cleaner. I mean, those things are expensive, y'know? Don't want some dumb necklace. What am I going to do with a necklace? Yeah I can wear it, but a vacuum cleaner is so much more practical.

Like, seriously.

Uhh, I'll put a picture here later, but right now I'm making cookies. Be back in a few!

---Edit---

Okay, here ya go!

This was on a movie theater marquee when we were driving to the petstore and I thought it was hilarious. The other side says "Horrorfest" and then "Twilight" under it, and I was thinking "wouldn't it be totally awesome if it was switched on the other side?"

And it was! :D

Ah ah ah ah stayin' alive...
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Disco. :D (Also I am currently stayin' alive, as you may have noticed)

Well you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk

Something something something I can't understand them

Ah ah ah ah stayin' alive!

I like how that one guy looks less enthusiastic. Maybe it's because he's the Bee Gee without lots of hair.

Today in Brit Lit Brandon started asking Julia if she was Russian. She said no, she was Ukrainian. Then she asked him why, and he started going on about how she's "the only one of her kind." So she (jokingly) took this as a racist statement. She said "my kind?" And then we talked about how white people are the minority here and stuff...

I had a crush on Brandon in second grade. (He's asian, by the way) Now I just find him to be rather annoying. He doesn't do the work we're supposed to do, and he copies off my paper when he needs answers. I mean, I don't let him cheat during tests or anything (as far as I know?) but it's like, worksheet stuff when we're having a group discussion.

Why he doesn't just participate in the discussion and write down his own answers, I don't know. No wait, I do: he's too busy doing his math homework and texting.

Bleh.

[I'm still watching ze disco videos]

Echhh... not finding this hairy-chest open-jacket thing too appealing.

So as I was telling Varsha earlier, it's kind of mildy funny if someone keeps saying "no" over and over, but it's hilarious if someone keeps saying "yes" over and over.

Varsha: -something-
Me: Ah, I see.
Varsha: -something else-
Me: Yes?
Varsha: Yes.
Me: Yes!
Varsha: YES!

-We both start laughing-

Me: Why was that funny?

Note to self: add this to comic material.

:P

---Edit---

This video makes me laugh.

But only because I saw this one first.

Guess what I got today! :D
Monday, January 12, 2009
Okay I'll let you know after I put these pictures up. :P

Guys singing in Physio.

Went for a walk on a trail in the dark and took some pictures of passing cars.

Romeo is silly. He likes to just sit like this, with his beak on the bars. I have no idea why.

Cute birdy. :D

You have a choice between huge Cuties and small Cuties.

And now... are you ready for it?

Ready ready?

Ready ready ready spaghetti? With cheese and all that other yummy stuff?

I GOT MY BAG TODAY!!!

It's much bigger than I expected... but everything fits great. :D I love that it only took like four days to get here. (I ordered it on the 8th)

Finished up that interview with Praetorian that was just lying around. And now I will get to another reward comic. (We're getting closer to $100 but it looks like there's still quite a while to go)

When I do hit that mark, I guess I'll probably put up a post with REWARD COMICS! as the title and no words, only pictures. Er, comics. You get the idea. Look forward to it if you like my stuff. :)

Two down, ? to go and banonos
Wednesday, January 7, 2009
I have finished two comics. I could be working at a much faster pace but I like taking my time. Just because.

As I just informed Angie (though she has not responded...), I completed the one with her in it. I was thinking about posting that one to show you an example of the reward comic format and how I would place a person it it, but I figured it would be better to just wait until I hit $100 and then put them all up. If, by that time, there are more than two.

Still accepting requests for comic character spots. :P

[Remember, they are FULL COLOR and not that crappy stuff I usually draw. I finally figured out how to color right so they don't look completely horrible, and I will draw you for free as long as you aren't horribly complicated looking.]

---

Second day as an office aid. The Attendance Office lady didn't remember me. X| She asked me "are you late?" when I went in to see if she had any tasks for me. I had to say "office aid" before she realized why I was there.

Besides the weird fact that she can't remember who I am (it's probably because I vaguely resemble all the other asian girls on campus, I would suspect), I like being an office aid. It's easy work, and I don't have to think to do it. Mindless work is a nice change from the typical school stuff. (And I know that sounds strange, but I mean I can just think about whatever while I'm doing it)

Saw Nameless drive to school today. I always feel so weirded out when I see my peers driving. I mean, it's been like what, three years now? but I still can't get used to it...

Varsha and I also saw [whatever I call him here, the New Guy] drive away when we were walking home. His car is much less... new than Nameless's. Although I can't say I really care either way, when it comes to cars I mostly just mind if the inside is filthy and I have to ride in it.

Varsha: oop
Me: oop... de doop?
Varsha: sure, why not?
Varsha: but not betty boop
Varsha: not that oop
Me: oop....les and banoonoos
Varsha: hahha
Me: i always liked that part
Varsha: hahaha
Varsha: yeah
Varsha: i think that's the funniest sounding part of that song
Me: well, that or banonos
Varsha: i think banoonoos sounds hilarious :-)
Varsha: even more hilarious, i mean
Me: it is quite hilarious indeed
Me: but banonos... that sounds like no-no
Me: like the bad fruit, y'ken?
Me: "that's a banono, Jimmy!"
Varsha: hahahhaahhah
Varsha: yes, yes i see where you're comin' from :-)
Me: i think i'm going to have to save this conversation

Hey kids, guess what!
Tuesday, January 6, 2009

That's right, for a limited time only, YOU TOO can be a character in my reward comic. Er, comics. Apply now!

I have nothing exciting to report. BUT, this may be the last reward comic/set of comics for a long time. I don't think $150 is a special number. $500 certainly, but we'd have to wait several years for me to reach that... (assuming nothing bad happens)

Just want to let you know that the fifth to last panel of the finished RC is the one I find most funny. I could not explain why but it is.

---Edit---

I don't care for the song really, and I can't say I much like the video either, but watching this makes me laugh. A lot. A lot lot.

Also the guy is pretty cute. Well, in some of his other videos. This one is.... just interesting. :P
