You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

Three, possibly two more days
Monday, July 9, 2007
Then the explosion of pictures begins!

Okay, so I only have like a hundred or so. Still. It's a lot. Some of them are videos, too. There are a couple of me, but I'm trying to decrease the camera-whoreness. One of them is just your typical "it's me, not smiling... and stuff" picture, the other is this interesting hat i found in an antique store and am modeling. [Wow, I'm smiling!]

Played Scrabble last night. I won! :D The words that got me to the top were 'zen' and 'za'. THANK YOU TEN POINT Z!!!! Apparently 'za' is slang for pizza. But it was in the dictionary, so it counts. Huzzah. :P

There's nothing to eat except maybe Cheez-Its and leftovers. I have no idea what I'm going to do for lunch. :|

I gotta figure out a good time to give Angie, Lucy, and Gwenny their Hawaii things....

[That cat video is driving me crazy, so I'm going to take it down]

Crap. Well, here's the link.

The budgies in this video are so cute. I thought I was going to die of too much cuteness.

Don't drink the Mountain Dew
Saturday, July 7, 2007
Went to the Big Kahuna Marketplace today.

"Big Kahuna Marketplace. 'It's big!'"

I couldn't help myself. I had to laugh at that sign.

We went glow-in-the-dark mini golfing. Or at least, my mom, brother, uncle, and grandma did. I don't care for mini golfing. When they say "glow in the dark", they really mean "we paint everything neon and put blacklights in the ceiling". I SUPPOSE you could call it glow in the dark, but it's not really...

After that we checked out the rest of the "Marketplace". Mostly just tourist stuff, I think. But hey, Waikiki. What can you expect?

Got some Popeye's food, but I was very disappointed that they didn't have red beans and rice. That's like, the best thing there. Seriously. Maybe the cashier heard me though, because we got a large side order of fries and it filled the entire box. Really. Like, there were more fries than other food combined. It was awesome. :D

When we were eating our food this kid ran up to the soda fountain and actually DRANK FROM THE SPOUT. He just put his mouth on the Mountain Dew one and drank right from it. After that we were watching to see if anybody would take Mountain Dew. This one Japanese woman did... haha...

Okay, so when I post my Hawaii pictures I'll do them in groups, under password protected entries. The password should be obvious.

I was watching the Food Network earlier. Adrien got sent home. :'( Reality shows can be so cruel, even there.

Saw this really funny episode of Ace of Cakes, too. I think it was The Cake of the Seven Veils, or something along those lines.

[This entry is getting too long, so I will end it now with a random video]

{Video removed; too annoying}

Here's a fun little game from Adultswim.com for all you suicidals out there.

Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself)

This just brings a whole new meaning to "How many ways are there to die?"

:D
