love is dead in Metropolis
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
―D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
―Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
―Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories― if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
―The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
― Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

And the fence came crashing down
Friday, January 4, 2008
We're having a lovely rainstorm here. It tore down the fence on the left side of our backyard.

Dad: "This happened the last time we had hundred mile an hour winds, too"

Hundred mile an hour winds? Yeah right. We had some sixty mph ones I think, and those tore some of the... somethings... off the roof. Not shingles, but longer.... eh well.

The basketball hoop in the backyard also tipped over. My dad was concerned about this because it has a heavy base. It came with the house, and in all my years of living here I've NEVER seen it down before. :S

Anyway, we also had a power outage. It lasted maybe an hour or two. I dunno. I have a bad sense of time. I was vacuuming when the power went out the first time. Then it flickered on again. So I started again. And then it goes off. I decided then that it was not going to come back on for a while, so I told my mom I wasn't doing it anymore. Of course the lights had to come on right after I said that. :|

We're going to Border's in a bit so I'll be back later, possibly with pictures.

Special prize inside!
Thursday, January 3, 2008
I think I figured out what I'm going to do when I hit fifty dollars.

I'll just upload the many pages of Physics comics you haven't seen.

Would you like that?

I may just post them all in the gallery....

Oh yeah, and your special prize.

I was trying to get you an evil womgoose, but apparently those don't exist. :(

So this is what you get instead.

Wooooo fun.

I hate "kawaii" stuff.

You won't enjoy this post if you're blind
Wednesday, January 2, 2008
Yes, that means pictures. PICTURES!

I guess that you wouldn't be able to enjoy any post if you were blind, unless someone was reading it to you....

The ever adorable Cici.

Romeo's hiding back there.

And now Cici's poking her head up.

A parade float at Knott's Berry Farm

One of the best rides ever.

Ooh la la! Well, it would be if you're into mannequins.

I wanted to go there until I realized it said "Hearing Aids"

Would ya look at that L.A. sunset.

Probably would have been a better picture if the window wasn't dirty as hell.

The ocean while we were driving back home.

I was horrified when I saw this.

"Manga Claus".... How can they DO this to Santa?!

How about THAT, Muffy!

Apparently you can buy the empty WIndows Vista display box.

Might be a better buy than the actual thing, from what I hear...

I'm sure you've all seen this already...

I honestly did not know this.

I'll be home for.... New Years... maybe
Wednesday, December 26, 2007
We're heading down to L.A. tomorrow morning. :/ We'll be spending a few days there to visit relatives and other such matters. I MIGHT be home for New Years. I really don't know.

In the time that I'm gone I don't expect to have access to the Internet or Nutang, so if I don't post for a few days, that's why.

I FINALLY ENABLED SUBSCRIPTIONS. LOOK IN THE MODULES

I got some (more) Threadless shirts on the 24th. Beelzebub, The Communist Party, and Emotional Trip. I was kind of surprised because, well, they look a lot bigger than my other shirts. I'm not quite sure why.

And for some reason the little thing that shows where you're typing keeps moving to other lines here. It's getting pretty annoying, since half of my word will get typed in the middle of a previous sentece and I have to keep going back to change it.

Uh.... here's a clean joke.

Son: Papa! Papa! The lid to our coal-chute was left open and a man fell down inside! What should I do?
Father: Quick! Put the cover on it- I'll call a cop and have him arrested before he can sue us.

Look what I got for Christmas!

Sophia dropped by my house and gave this to me. And no, it's not a gag gift.

Oh boo
Monday, December 24, 2007
Everything looks normal on my laptop. :S I don't get it at all.

I say "boo" even though the original term is "pooh" simply because the former doesn't sound the same as another word with a less preferable definition.

I guess "lovely" got added to my sarcasm vocabulary sometime in the recent past. Along with "boo."

I got Cs on two of my finals. :/ At least I know I can't get below a B in any of my classes.

Junior year so far kind of sucks.

And for some reason I'm forgetting how to speak English.
