I decided to share this information derived from one of my meetings about success and money management.

Why some are poor? Why some are rich?

Extraordinary people
1. Focus on opportunities
2. See potential growth
3. Focus on rewards
4. Focus on what they want
5. Focus on making, keeping and investing

Ordinary people
1. Focus on obstacles
2. See potential loss
3. Focus on risk
4. Focus on what they don't want
5. Focus on spending

Rewards and Risk

Extraordinary people
1. Take risk
2. Expect to succeed
3. Confidence in their abilities
4. Believe that should they can do it, if not they can find another way to succeed
5. Constantly see opportunity

Ordinary people
1. No risk
2. Expect to fail with "what if"
3. Lack confidence
4. Believe that things won't work out, it would be catastrophic
5. Constantly see obstacles

Which one are you?

All well that did not end well
Thursday, June 5, 2008
This is one the rarest days where I had 3.5 hours of sleep. I came home at 1 a.m. and retired to bed but to only crawl out to the kitchen to finish my dessert mum kept it for me. What happened? I will tell you why.

My friends and I ended our gathering at 9 p.m. at Damansara area and were going home. To our horror, the road was jam. We knew this was all because of the evil and yet innocent petrol. Everyone was jamming at the kiosk and affecting everyone else. We crawled our way. It took us 3 hours just to reach the Kelana Jaya Lrt station (which only takes 10 minutes to reach without jam). We decided to take a break at a mamak stall to have late supper. We hang out there until 12-ish.

So?

The incredible increase in fuel prices is horrible and terrible. Did we not just not feel the pinch recently from the oil price? And again? Why is the pinch now redder? And frankly why is our standard of living not safeguarded? Everything is heading to the hilltop except for our wages/ salary. Can you imagine someone earning RM 4 per hour to survive in our hostile and volatile environment? A friend of mine called me all the way from Penang just to borrow my ears about the petrol price.

Petronas declared a whopping RM 70 billion of profits from petrol. So what happened to that shiny billion ... billion bling bling? Oh well... we all know what happened, right? Ok let's just rest this matter as it is ok? I do not want to feed my readers with the same old opinions I have with other people and blogger out there. If you really want to read one's true opinion about this matter. I suggest you reading the former Malaysian premier, Tun Dr Mahathir's blog: Chedet.

Let's just move on to the happy thoughts bore by this crazy decision of this hiking price. Of course... created by me and my colleagues but majorly me.

I suggested we should try living in the jungle to avoid all of the "evil" money activities and live on barter system should we have neighbours ... I mean human neighbours. As for entertainment, we could watch monkeys scratching each other's back. Trust me you would achieve ASTRO freedom by being one with the environment. And my colleagues chipped in that I might meet neighbours in the shape of possible pendatang haram (illegal immigrants) and eventually might be a little too crowded. But oh well ... the more the better... more cheerier. And I added I would need to mark my territory in the jungle to shoo off some snakes. But you know what my workmate replied? She would get bulldozers and chop down the trees, erasing my territory. NO!!!!

And guess you guys also knew that electricity price has also gone up... My suggestion? Simple. A kid would even able to reply that. Use candles in the house and the benefits? Everyday would be a romantic day regardless of who you are with and where you are. And even so... you don't have to envy couples in some 'dark' environment like in restaurants. You now could do the same at little or no cost. But I'm not responsible for any accidents caused by my idea, if not, get insured before trying out.

My colleagues and I had a good laugh before starting work. We just love this kind of day. It brightened up our day amid the gloominess of our pocket future and the obstacles ahead.

So?

Always think positive! Think of money money money!! And money will come to you!

Amazing day. Surrounded by amazing people.

I was assisted by a banker who gave me one cent just to round up my fixed deposit amount. I was kinda surprised by his languid look. I thought 'Oh boy .. not a friendly officer at hand" but I was so wrong. We had a good stoic conversation by the way. We learnt something from each other.

Later in the evening I managed to catch up with my ex-schoolmate whom I have not seen since 2000. How time flies. We catch up with each other from 6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. And hmm.. why did the waiter didn't offer us water? We discussed all kinds of topics. I'm glad my friend is an environmental fan as well!! Yay.. high five!

Another day is in the advent. Don't think. Don't think. Just do it.

I think this is the first time you guys reading 'what the hell' in my blog because that's what I'm going to say what the hell with this video! It's amusing hitherto making me cringing in my reclining chair.

I think I have read before in an article about pet owners in the US buying music album for their pets. And I guess this is just one of the music the owners are willing to buy.

Have fun be amused.

Broken Core
Wednesday, May 28, 2008
I'm extremely broke. I thought I'm good in clearing my credit card debts and damn that bloody bank. I usually don't put the blame on other parties for a trouble happened in my life but seriously this is not inevitable. My credit card debt at the moment amounted RM610.15. Can you imagine that? That's 32% of my salary. I have been observing the stupid bank's nature of charging the bill after 7th of every month. And I ALWAYS make sure the amount I swipe is below a limit I set for myself. So as usual I set aside the amount I knew I have used on the credit card when I got my salary today. Never expected it would cost a bomb. And why? The stupid bank combined my April and May bill together making me flat broke this month. I really need to thank the stupid bank for giving me headache in redoing my accounts.

And I'm going to execute my extreme plan which is to leave all credit cards in my jewelry box. I'm going to use cash this month onwards.

I learned my lesson.

Have you ever thought you are stick with toxic everyday 24 hours? I never thought of that until I thought of selling t-shirts. I was thinking why not have environmentally friendly tees with cool designs... and then I realised organic tees would be better off without patterns.

I started to dig for information about the benefits of organic tees. They are not only environmentally friendly in terms of biodegradable and chemical free but also providing more job opportunities to people because organic cottons are hand picked. Oh not mentioning that organic cottons are rotated crop compared to the conventional's which means they used less water and the soil is much more loosen for future crop plants.

For health benefits, they are good for insomniac people and help us to release toxin from our bodies. The organic shop owner was telling me that organic tees are also good for people who have sensitive skin.

bamboo, hemp & organic clothing

There's much more to the benefits. Why not check out yourself at this site? And you might want to get youself some of these tees too.
