Speak to My Finger
Books
Books I have completed reading since January 2021:

1. The Enchanted - Rene Denfield
But I know
Wednesday, June 9, 2010
At the beginning of June, I spotted a dead dog in a a green area with tall grasses at the corner of my housing estate. It was a secular place and no one will spot the carcass like I did if they are not on foot. But I saw the dead brown dog, stiff, lying among the tall grass. I looked at it pitifully. I wondered how did the dog die. Did it die of hunger? Did it die of cold? How did it die at this spot? Why was the dog on the spot? Did it walk half way and fall to the ground?

I have a lot of questions ....

But the stinking smell deter me from looking longer on the dead dog. I kept on walking ...

I was expecting to see bright red flesh rotting in the grass, but I only saw white bones where the huge brown dog had once laid. My eyes won't take off the spot. The rain water flows over the bones like they were naturally embedded in the earth.

Where was the flesh I imagined? I didn't expect to see bones after 2 weeks. I didn't expect to see bones ...

I feel so sad for the dog. No one knows where it died except me.

Girlfriend day
Friday, June 4, 2010
It's been a long time I have not watched a movie with a friend. Usually I watch alone. I went to watch Killers starring Ashton Kutcher. The movies was not bad but the ending was just not good. It was too simple and it should tie the loose ends. But overall the movie was quite funny and ooh ... I got to watch the uncensored version!! Ooh very steamy...

But food wise. It sucks. Honeymoon's desserts quality have gone down. The peanut cream was watery and tasted bland, and it's very expensive. I complained but the waiter came back to me that the reason the peanut cream sucks because my friend ate it cold. But when I tasted when it was hot, the taste was really bland and watery. The food court in Lot 10 also sucks. The food quantity was very poor and very expensive! Not going back there again!

I'm having a headache of what to eat next in Bukit Bintang area. The prices around there is expensive but my main concern is the variety. There is nothing much to eat in Bukit Bintang. Ah... I forgot... there is a shop in Berjaya Times Square served quite tasty asam laksa. My next stop!

In my shadow
Saturday, May 29, 2010
Ugh. I wish my mum didn't tell me this story.

My mother and I were supposed to go out in the afternoon to get some electrical appliances. But my mum was not ready yet, so I went to seek her out in the room. This was where she shared this eerie true experience.

Without further ado ....

My sister's beautician was telling my sister that her aunt had worshiped some a Samurai statue. Apparently, this statue/ god makes your every wish come true, but with one condition: you must deliver your vow (whatever you have promised to give in return once you get your wish). So this aunt had her wish came true but she didn't deliver her vow. The next time she prayed to the statue she saw a samurai spirit shadowing her!!! Immediately, she returned the statue to the other followers. Since then, she has not seen any samurai figure in her shadow.

This story gives me the creeps until now!!

Drunken cat
Thursday, May 27, 2010
I was in a networking event last night and I got myself drunk for the first time. What happened to my record of not getting drunk despite drinking 5 glasses? Well, I would still like to keep that record. Haha. I only had 3 glasses of white wine and my head was spinning after I turned my head left and right too often while looking out for my friend in the crowds. Argh... should not have done because the spinning is not fun at all but I felt better after napping in the train. And I should have interspersed my drinking wine with water, which I didn't. I was too absorbed talking to some guests in the crowd. I think my friend had a rough day yesterday and so she has kept on inviting me to get another glass of wine. I gave in because I know I don't get drunk easily. Ugh.. should not have because I came back with my head spinning and felt like vomiting, and amazingly I was writing a report with that condition. Unfortunately, I have submitted a normal report. Nothing unusual. HAHA.

For the record, the caterer didn't get a good wine because the Australian wine doesn't have any fragrance or any crisp in taste. They should have gotten like Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc which have better taste and fragrance. Most of us were gulping alcohol because it was free flow, not to enjoy the taste. How sad.

And I'm still yearning for my eiswine/ late harvest. Nothing can change my love for this dessert wine.
