My mother insists Friday. 11.28.08 8:46 pm Now that it's past Thanksgiving Day, I can compile a Christmas list without feeling like a tool. Take that, commercialism! For music:
From Threadless: In order of preference Keeping it Simple (Better hurry up!) Roses... Easy Steps I already have all these in my shopping cart, I just need to be able to order them. All I can think of, for now... Comment! (2) | Recommend! I'm Demented Monday. 11.24.08 9:38 pm I was digging through an old folder and I found some of my earlier art works, dating all the way back to 2004. Since then, I've stopped playing with Microsoft Paint, and my tinkerings go into the folders they came from (they're usually based on photographs). This is only the most interesting of the bunch. I had an affinity for colors and smiley faces, way back when. Haha. I thought of this pattern in 8th grade one day, went home, and made this over the summer. Line by line. Click for full size. For my mom's birthday. She's so lucky to have a son with my sense of humor, yeah? Remastered, baby! These are actually 3-D images I made in Paint. Wicked! Something I print out and hide for people to find. In lockers, lunchboxes, etc. Screwing around with my friend in Comp. Tech. I miss you, Aaron! Don't ask. Comment! (6) | Recommend! Indescribable Sunday. 11.23.08 5:44 pm Only one thing wrong at the moment. Well, two. But the second is just me being silly and slightly obsessed. Well, three. I think I'm getting a headache. Haha Comment! (6) | Recommend! I was in the mountains Thursday. 11.20.08 6:51 pm I think I've already said that my friend Jordan has a mountain house retreat in Sparta, NC that he's taken me to before. It's a house on top of a huge winding road with a few acres for shooting or dirt biking (shooting clay targets and old PCs, FYI) and a small river. It was fun last time with 5 guys, but last weekend I went with 8 other guys. Most of which were on swim team. We only had 6 bikes and a few guns, so we spent more time hanging around or climbing the tower. At night, we watched the original (Korean?) Asian version of Shutter. It was so much scarier than the American version. It actually disturbed me. And made me jump a few times. My leg hair grew an inch that night, just from the goose bumps. Then we watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, complete with Jason Segal penis (oh dear Lord). And then Dead Silence the next night, which was a little bit surprising but utter trash over all. And then we turned on Talledega Nights, but turned it off 25 minutes later because it was stupid and we were all dead tired. It was amazing. John has THE funniest quotes EVAAARRRR. We were sharing a couch for the movies (don't ask) and I found a spider in the blanket. We were all crowded around looking at it, and John JERKS THE BLANKET AND LAUNCHES THE SPIDER ON ME. I backed up off the couch and looked around for it very quickly. "It's on your shirt! Dude, I'm not kidding, it's on you- OH MY GOD IT'S GOING DOWN YOUR SHIRT!" That shirt was gone. I don't like poisonous creatures cramped against my bare skin. I found it on the floor, and trapped it in the space under a can of Cherry Lemon Sundrop. Jordan, armed with a large candle, went in for the kill. "Is it under there? Are you sure?" "Yeah, I'm sure. It didn't go anywhere." Jordan lifts the can and lowers the candle in one motion. He slowly picks it back up to check the bottom... ...and there's no spider. Nothing on the floor. I about died laughing because ALL the guys in that room started yelling and jumping around. It was fantastic. More later, maybe. Comment! (5) | Recommend!
