my birthday came and went without too much hoorah....geoff made me pancakes...i worked and almost had to work a few extra hours...not a lot really...thanks to everyone who sent me well wishes...ive been workin myself ragged the last few, and ive had a few issues ive had to smooth out at work...in the end i think itll work out alright...havent had much time for jenn tho..tomorrow im going to chicago to see my godson for a few days...loads look a little iffy, but ill make it...thats all....ill update about my chicagoan exploits when i return!

i ended up staying in the city last night...i got extended for an hour...just long enough to miss my second train..michael was going to give me a ride home, but ended up getting pissy with me because i spent a little extra time...won a game of drunken bingo (re-donated the prize), and ended up spending a surprise night in center city. luckily chris brought me clothes when he met me today....we got some errands run, including the QUICKEST penndot adventure i've ever had (under 5 minutes!) before chinese food at the pagoda and "sunshine" at the ritz. i really enjoyed sunshine. i wasn't sure i would at first, but i like other dan boyle films...so i was game to see it. we then walked back to cbop (where i think i finally found someone who could burn my raw images to a disk...the jury is still out on that) and headed to the trains. im headed out in a few to hang out with a friend i havent seen in a couple years, so it should be a good time. then tomorrow i've got a few more errands to run. oh the joys of days off....

it's been a crazy few days...
Thursday night I headed to WC to hang out with Geoff...we were supposed to get Chinese food for dinner but didn't have time...which made Jenn a grumpy guss. We hung out for a while, and Friday we intended to get a lot done...but did not. I did get my a/c though. woohoo! We finally made it to my place, but by then it was too late for Geoff to make it to FNM, so he decided to go with me to the etheracide show in Lansdale instead. We got lost on the way (don't ask me how) but made it in time to see a great show. Not a lot of people there, but a good show nonetheless! I had a lot of fun. Saturday was workful, Sunday had me at work until 3am, and today actually got me home on time! Thanks to Chris, I now have a functioning a/c...and I'm very sleepy....

so i've decided that by the end of this year i want to be on my way to 2 things...

1. i HAD, before the accident, a mere 25lbs left on my weight loss goal...so i need to get myself down to preaccident weight and be on my way to my goal...

2. i want to have figured out some sort of education plan..even if it's not a degree program, i just want to be in a class or 2 again.

i think i can at least have a better idea by then...

in other news...we have keys! and a lease signed! that's the good news...
the bad? my toy trunk got flooded...which makes most of my collectibles no longer collectibles...i also lost my maurice sendak nutshell library set, all my bugs books, and some other things....

now everything was soaking in a black inky soup...why? because id forgotten my drexel box was in there...which means i not have NO PHYSICAL RECORD of all the work i did in college...all the hours i spent over enlargers and chemical tanks reduced to an oily black soup...i felt like crying all day...i may not have made it very far as a photo major...but i put a lot of heart and effort into my work...and now it's all gone...

other than that ive been trying to kick the feelings of loneliness and heaviness lately...i dont really have good reasons for it...im sore from being back to work, im cranky from stress...im tired from it all...and my blood sugars are suffering because of it...meh...i need to work out a new plan...

is like riding an extremely painful, immensely heavy bike...gods i'm sore after not being at work for almost a month...i also realized how sore and shaken i still am from the original bruising...ugh...i can't wait til THAT stops hurting.

so the past few days have been a bit of a roller coaster for me...i'm not sure why, really...just been very fickle...

meh...i'm too tired and sore to type anymore...

So I didn't call my grandma yesterday...I'm terrible...mainly because 1. I never told her about the accident, 2. I need to ask for money...I didn't want to do either of those things on the anniversary of the day she lost her only daughter. I'll call her tomorrow from the store.

The other night our power went out....which led to a rather heated argument with the landlord about the state of things and PECO offering to make threats of their own, especially since by then I was reaching :medical emergency" level, not to mention the bottles of insulin baking in the fridge...he told us to make other arrangements and hung up on me...at this point I was dehydrated, and we hadn't had power (cold anything) for 14 hours, I had woken up about 4am not able to move or breath and chad and chris had to pump me full of water, and I was scared because I was panicky...so I flipped out, and I was in tears by the time his wife called to ask me to talk to him and work things out...I couldn't...I was feeling so sick by then, but chris (God bless his heart) talked to him for an hour or so and smoothed everything out. Whew. I really do want to make that apt work. I don't want to move again, and the space itself is nice...

I made it through yesterday pretty well...and Saturday I get to go back to work...I'm not sure how this shift is going to work for me, where I'm going to stay on weekends, or how I'd get home if I didn't find a place to stay...but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it...I'm going to experiment Saturday and see how much it costs to take a taxi from 30th St Station to Manayunk. Any locals know?

Today I finally got together with Trevor and Brock for band practice, after a 2 month hiatus. We worked on a few things... seems like a good fit. Looks like we should be able to get together weekly again. Hopefully we'll have enough songs soon to play some open mics. We have one completed so far, just needs a few finishing touches. :)

Well...one more day, then it's back to the old routine...I'm kind of looking forward to the routine...
