today chris and i headed out to spend our christmas gift cards at target. we got a bunch of dvd's and a new dvd cabinet (which is already full!) we came home, and we got the frames prepped to hang, but we don't have any anchors (yay sheetrock) so they're still not up. i didnt get to watch any of the eagles game, but we won! instead i headed out to the staff christmas party. mandee got me a book and some yummy smelling lotion! thanks mandelicous! we took a bunch of fun pictures and had a lot of really good laughs. i love those girls!

and now...im very sleepy...gnight all!

last night after work we went to see "children of men"
wow, what an intense movie.
im not sure my brain has processed it all yet.
but wow.
i dont think i breathed once from start to finish.
go see it!

i slept 'til almost noon today. i didnt expect to, but i did. i guess i was more exhausted than i thought.
todays been a pretty halfassed day...
i started writing... and got halfway before i couldnt concentrate.
i started putting away the christmas stuff...and got halfways before i ran out of boxes
i was supposed to go to the airport with lauren, but who knows if its actually happening.
i was supposed to shoot with tara this morning, but the baby's sick (poor peanut)
so todays been a lot of nothing...
my head hurts
i wish the full crash would hit so i could get past this half depressed mopey stage...

blech, maybe ill take a nap

So here lies a rather impromptu year in review. This marks the first year Chris and I have actually spent NYE together! I wish he weren't sick, because I'm powerless to do anything about it, so I'm pretty ineffectual today. Nonetheless, we're spending it together if it kills me!

The last year...wow. So much has happened in the last year, I can't even begin to list it all. We've gone through a LOT of changes. Better, worse, different. We broke up, we moved, we reconciled, I went through several forms of employment. A few important new people entered my life, people who have helped me get through the tough times and shared some pretty crazy adventures. I can't imagine them not being in my life now. What a difference 12 months makes! I made some big decisions in 2006 that will, I think, prepare me for the coming year. In some ways I think the last year has been a set up for a catalystic 2007. Better, worse, different. I feel changes. Chris' fortune the other night (we had Chinese food for our anniversary) said " a change for the better is coming your way". Mine said "your dearest dream is coming true". Bring it on, 2007!

Two years ago I was trapped for quite some hours at Dallas Ft Worth airport trying to get home to someone I'd never met, but with whom I had spent countless hours on the phone.When I finally made it to PHL, they'd gotten lost, my bags were not with us, and I was starving. Chad dropped us off at my apartment, and he kissed me before we could even lug my lack of luggage up the stairs. We had dinner at Midtown, and the rest is our business, but somewhere in there he asked me to be his girlfriend. While at some point after then I'd counsel myself saying I should have taken it slow and not rushed, I didn't. Here we are two years later. We've been through a LOT together. I don't really know what the next year has in store for us, but up to this point has been rather eventful. Why would I expect any different now?
