i got a new drive today...

last night i had a wonderful talk with someone. a talk i shouldve had years ago, because it really freed me of some weight i've carried way too long, way too far. it empowered me.

no more apologizing.
no more regretting.
no more wishing on stars.
no more goddamned waiting.

from here i focus.
from here i push myself, my boundaries, my mind.
from here i advance. i have to. there is no other option.

from here....i fly.

totally kicking my ass
this week...work 6, me 0....literally almost killed me yesterday (yeah, i went to bed at 9pm...what about it!?)
and took the wind out of me today (the spots were so pretty though!)

I survived the 12 hour fast...barely..I started to drop on the way to Quest but there was no way I was making it that far only to wuss out...luckily, they took me in pretty quickly, and I was able to run and get food immediately following. I do have to say, that's the fastest anyone's ever found my vein and filled all the vials. She was great! I hardly even felt it!

After that I bummed around Center City for a while. Went over to see the tree in Rittenhouse. I'm slightly disappointed they don't have the coloured balls up this year. I guess everything has to change eventually.

When I got home I tried to pay the rent only to discover the office was closed.

After dinner Chris and I put on A Christmas Story and decorated the tree! Saturday we'll have lights up! My sparkly garland snowflake light is really pretty in our window, though.

Work was pretty run-of-the-mill today. I had a couple good sales. Thank GODS pay day is coming up.

Yesterday I was exhausted, and work didn't help any. I had to be in at 9am after a 10 hour 8am day and the Christmas tree adventure. It was insanity all day, but that's Christmas. Lauren picked me up from work, and we drove around for 2 feckin hours looking for some damned mistletoe for the shoot I was doing of her that night. We didn't find any. The shoot went pretty well...the half I got to shoot. I wanted a second outfit, but Chad decided to be sleeping at 8pm, so my other outfit was trapped. We got some really cute shots though, and I WILL get my mistletoe shot!!!

This morning I headed out for my endocrinologist appointment. As soon as I got off the train my blood sugar crashed, and I have to tell you all...the woman at Mrs Field's was the SLOWEST person I've ever had the pleasure of having serve me! I honestly thought I was going to die before I got my damned cookie. Then I couldn't find anywhere to sit...so I had to sit on the floor before I passed out. Stupid cookie wench! Anywho, today was my first time meeting the new endo, and I absolutely LOVED her. She listened, she asked questions, and she treated me like maybe I wasn't a liar. She made me feel like I'm actually a part of my health team, and she made suggestions rather than lecturing me. She did, however, decide she wanted me on a 12 hour fast for my blood work, so I have to head back into the city tomorrow. Oh well, I still get to sleep in, and I can nap when I get home.

After my appointment I had to get back on the train and head to work. Bageezus was it cold out! I got to work, and I had a pretty good night. I got home, and Chad got us wings for dinner. Now I'm ready to go to bed!
