Last night was bizzare. No sleep makes for a loopybean. Lauren picked me up at 430, and we headed to the airport. We made pretty good time until we hit Terminal A. It took us ove 20 minutes to get from there to Southwest. Lauren never even made it to the curb; I just hopped out and ran for it. The ticket counter line wasn't bad, but the security lines were outrageous. I made it to the plane 5 minutes after it was supposed to leave. Fortunately for me, the crew was also stuck in that line. Once on the plane I tried to nap, and I failed miserably. I did get half of "Now, More, Again" bye Elizabeth Wurtzel read though. The whole business in Chicago, from shuttle pick up to shuttle drop off at the airport took 20 minutes. All the friday-before-christmas bullshit...for 20 MINUTES! My fingerprints haven't changed! Shouldn't they be on file from last year? Whatever. The shuttle gets me back to MDW, and there's a semi truck pinned between the departure ramp and the overpass. Smoooooth. Needless to say, I took pictures. I tried to make it over to see Nicholas, but the line to the ticket counter was like Walt Disney's wet dream. When I found the back of the line, I realized I was standing in the parking garage! Unfortunately my waiting in line was all in vain, because they'd printed my return boarding pass in PHL. Oops! The flight home was pretty smooth, and while I waited for Lauren I got to say hi to a few people I've missed. Them being excited makes me excited to be returning. It will be sad to leave the Picture People, as I've really grown to love the Montgomery Mall store, but there's no advancement and no benefits. That's life though. Nothing says I can't go visit them all! Hopefully I can get Cat or Erich to fly the baby in before I leave so he can get his picture taken. (Pardon my digression.) Lauren and I stopped at Wawa on the way home, and I finally got my mac and cheese! It was delicious! We ate watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

Now we're headed out to look for a new coffee pot. I was going to go with Lauren to pick up Doug, but I think I've had enough airports for one day and my migraine's trying to come back. Sorry, Doug! Welcome to PHL!

So I've been working my ass off lately.
I got my hair cut yesterday. I think it looks cute. I'm not sure anyone's noticed unless I pointed it out. Heh. It's a big change for me though.
We finally made it out to see Borat. It was really funny!
Other than that I've been working.... but it's almost Christmas!

Last night we were supposed to do a couple things, but one of the buildings in our complex was gutted by what appeared to be a 4-alarm fire. There were firetrucks everywhere, which meant we couldn't get out of our parking lot. So...I took pictures. They're currently loading, and I'll post some eventually. Once my interest in the fire waned we decided to come back in and watch Elf. Heh. I love that movie. It was really nice sitting in the glow of Christmas lights with a big mug of Target English Toffee Cocoa and a big bowl of popcorn. I felt so comfortable I never wanted to go to bed.

But! I had to be up to be at work by 8am...crap! Work was...work. Nothing too impressive or eventful. I'm reaching the point of being completely burned out, and it's getting harder and harder for me to get excited for it. Mleh. Tis the season. 7 more days.

Chris and I are debating the movies again tonight..barring any additional conflagrations. We'll see. Tomorrows another 8am shift. Grant me patience...

Last nights shoot with Lauren was really fun. We got some really nice shots...I promise I'll actually post some soon.

My only problem is that lately I've noticed a huge drop in my cognitive control. My short term memory(what my Dr used to call my 5 second fritz) is shot, and forget concentration. We could've gotten a lot more shots, a lot more variety, and a lot quicker had my brain been on full function. I hope this isn't the start of another deterioration. This really would be one of the worst times imaginable. With my job situation, my photography, starting writing again...I can't let it drop now. Meh.

Today Lauren's coming to get me, and we're taking Mowgli to see Santa at PetSmart. Most of the proceeds go to local animal rescue, so we're taking him there rather than to the mall. We took Dancer once, but she was a pretty mellow dog and easy to hold if she got too excited. I have NO idea what to expect with Mowgli. Hah. After that I think we're going to try to go see Chris' grandparents...again. If that doesn't work, maybe a movie.

For now, however...my stinky butt needs a shower.
