So, I've been here since Wednesday, and this is the first time I've been on my blogs. I did end up bringing the laptop, I just haven't felt much like updating. We got here on a long direct flight that stopped in two other cities before finally planting us in Dallas. The van driver took us to the wrong hotel, and once we got to the proper hotel we didn't have reservations! I did, however, score my own room. I spent the last three nights looking for someone to share it with, though, with not much luck. Wednesday night we stayed here and ordered Chinese food. I was a little disappointed at the bell peppers they put in my General Tso's and the CORN in my egg drop soup...ugh. Classes went well, albeit a bit slow. I really like the new system, but deployment day is going to be a mess, methinks. Thursday night I thought about going out, but we decided on Friday, so I stayed in and we drank by the pool. Yesterday I waited and waited and...oh, waited some more for the shuttle with no luck. The cute girl at the desk bought me a drink and gave me a $20 voucher for dinner for waiting almost 2 hours before i gave up and ordered a pizza. Tonight was just too damned hot. We might go out, we might drink some more by the pool like we have been all week. I refuse to be the one who ends up IN the pool tonight, dammit! We all went for dinner at a Chinese Buffet, which was yummy and free (thanks, Rick!). No company tonight, apparently. I had a girl who was supposed to come over and hang out, but she hasn't called me...oh yeah, that's right...ATT shut off my service today, so I wouldn't know if she had...sonofabitch!
