my first tattoo and I didn't even cry! Go me! Pictures to come! It looks absolutely gorgeous. Brandon did a terrific job. Definitely worth the drive, and I will be returning for the 2 (at least) more I have planned.
Many thanks to hubby for moral support. :)
Not a lot else to tell of. Business planning. Once all other expenses are covered..it'll be a while but it's good to plan.

In other news...apparently someone called my grandmother about something "disturbing" on my MySpace. She emailed me today with this bitchy "I didn't tell your father because he's got so much trouble already, and you need to call him because he's not doing well (insert "you're a terrible daughter" tone here), and you're all he has. Ending with "why did you do it?" This is such a ridiculous, immature move on the part of my family. One, you know how she reacts to everything. Why be a fucking instigator? Secondly, I was under the false assumption that we're all adults! If you've got an issue with something, and it's probably something really blown out of proportion, talk to me about it first. Thirdly, mind your own business. There hasn't been anything new added to that site in months. Why make it an issue now? Asshole. I WILL find out who started this, and it will not be pretty. I didn't need to get stressed out this weekend with everything going on, so I haven't called her yet to find out what it is. It's really just the principle of the matter at this point. Meh!

That's really it. Ridge diner and sketchbook in 20. I GOT A TATTOO!!!! (someone wanna call my grandmother?)

weekend a couple days late...
Tuesday. 2.5.08 5:20 pm
Friday was not a good day..I found out it'll be at least another 2 weeks until I can go back to work, got yelled at by my grandmother for not being able to work, realized we're going to be another $500 in the hole come Tuesday when the landlord cashes the rent check, fought all night with Ryan, and retreated to Rich's to try and escape it all for a few hours. No, Friday was not a good day.

Yesterday was far better in comparison. We were still a little edgy with each other waking up, but once we got moving we were fine. We headed out for breakfast at The Jukebox then headed to Reading for the holistic far they were having. Ryan got us wooden practice swords, and if it hadn't ended up being too close to closing time I'd have come home with a tattoo. I almost got reiki'd but I was waiting under the false assumption that I was being inked. It was great to see Tara and Jay, and I haven't seen anyone else probably in over a year, so it was great to catch up! Working more on being around more often, but sometimes I still feel like the retard trying to hang out with the cool kids. A lot of it stems from the fact that I only kinda of pop up once in a great while, but it seems like certain people only talk to me when they have to, and even then it's short, curt, and slightly catty. It is what it is, I guess, and really it only slightly annoys me and really only comes up now because Ryan sensed it and it turned into a "discussion". Anywho, we got home full of energy and decided we were going to organize "the spice rack", which was really a bunch of herbs in various forms of plastic and paper bags thrown in the storage space in the alter table...until now! A quick trip to Walmart and we had 20 screw lid containers and a few tiny little bowls. Ahh the joys of organization. We now have sticker-labeled, secure receptacles for our herbs. How crafty of us!

Sunday we had lots more gaming, which was great. Finally we got to see some action! I have to credit Ryan for being the first GM I've ever seen shake a character enough she has to leave the session. Eek.

Now I'm cleaning, and the dog's driving me insane, and my butt hurts...hah. Dealing. Happy Mardi Gras everyone!

had a good weekend for the most part. Did some modeling (very carefully), did some photographing (also very carefully), there was an Etheracide show (and more Smirnoff than I should probably be allowed on morphine) in Spring City, and good night, UPenn Museum, and a fantastic rpg session with Ryan, Rich, Kris, and Zak (thus boosting my effort to see them more often, because I miss them). More to come..just an update.

house arrest: day 4
Thursday. 1.17.08 1:19 pm
to answer questions I've received....yes, it does hurt like hell and if you remember my post about rollerskating...that's how i fractured it....oh, and i've heard my fill of "pain in the ass" jokes, hah.

has it really only been 4 days? It feels like 40. There's so much I could be doing with a week off. Cleaning, organizing, scrapbooking..whatever.....but I'm stuck. I can sit here at the box for a few moments, I can wander into the kitchen for 30 seconds, or I can read 3 pages before I feel nauseated. Other than that, I can sleep and sleep. Oh, and then there's sleep. I have another appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I'm cleared to go to work Monday. Even if I'm still hurting, I need to try. I have no idea how I'm going to pay the already mile-high bills without this week's hours.

ok, time's up...off to ice my ass and nap before I attempt a shower and a site change.

and thus it continues
Sunday. 1.13.08 2:20 pm

SO....yesterday started out....earlyish....we were all awake (still) at about 8am, so we decided breakfast was in order. After a trip to Old Country Buffet, w found ourselves back at home in nap land....which means we were late picking up the baby AND getting the rest of what we needed for the holiday party. It was great to spend some time with Lyam though, and we only got to the party a couple hours late. Hah. We got there just as they were threatening to take the food away. We weren't the only latecomers, so they left it up a little longer. The park was gorgeous all dark with the only illumination coming from a giant sign welcoming the company. The party was a nice change of pace with people from work, and I have to say we looked pretty damned good all dressed up. So good, in fact, that it could not be wasted on a party ending at midnight. In the end we decided to go strip clubbing, since that part of the plan had been omitted from Friday night's activities. Thus, the adventure begins. A cell phone Google search eventually inspired us to visit Show and Tel out on Columbus, a choice that would probably make the night. We got there and got comfortable with the place, and not long after Ryan undertook a mission to get me a lap dance. A while later I was approached by a blonde dressed in camo and escorted to my booth. I have to tell you...I've been hurtin' for some female attention and this girl was definitely enjoying herself. This wasn't the cute kissed-on-the-cheek-by-a-stripper situation from our last excursion. No. I got tongue on this one. Unfortunately the large bruise on my ass (in my ass crack really) was RIGHT where she decided I needed to sit. I was fine until she started to sit on me and grind...there were almost tears, but it was worth it. When it was all over it it became apparent that we needed to go home immediately or my head was going to explode. As frustrating luck would have it....a soon as we got home and ate a little bit we both fell asleep, the last couple days finally catching up with us.

Today is our do nothing day. We're gettin a couple movies and relaxin all day. I'm still sore from top to bottom, and really concerned about work tomorrow. I picked up the baby yesterday and it was apparent how much lifting sucks. Just my luck I'll be at the ticket counter all day. So far the pumps working pretty well. Once the numbers are adjusted it'll be great! I really like it.

Anywho, I'm going to try and drag Ryan out of bed so we can eat and get movies. Have a good Sunday all! Be safe!
