yesterday mike and i went to my friends ken and lauren's wedding. they were absolutely gorgeous. ive shot enough weddings to know that most brides and grooms may be happy on their wedding day, but there's still generally an aura of stress about them. not ken and lauren. they were absolutely ecstatic with each other. i wish them all the best. ive known these two for many many years. i met ken right before i moved here, and met her through him a few years later. i cant think of a better couple. the wedding itself was enchanting, and the dancing was great until i almost passed out on the dance floor. hah. luckily mike is very tall, and i did not fall on my face. i'm so happy for those two. they totally deserve each other. in a very good way.

tday was supposed to be my day of getting shit done, but after a somewhat tumultuous start it went downhill from there. i havent felt well since, and dinner only made it worse. i didnt get the dishes, laundry, or sorting done...but i DID get a shit ton of photos resized and edited. go me!

so thats hwo it's been. there's more, but small doses folks...small doses.
tomorrow i go to the doctor to discuss my blood work and begin my eval for an insulin pump. i'm very excited! wish me luck!

It all started Friday night. They assigned me mandatory OT for Saturday night, but my supervisor let me leave work half an hour early so I wouldn't have to worry about how I was getting home, and I caught the train to 30th street...where I waited for my train for 45 minutes before I gave up and called for help. Chris wanted to go out drinking with Chad, so I called Mike, who drove out and picked me up. We got stuck in some traffic, so I didn't get home until almost 2am. I got home, made my pie for the picnic, and went to bed.

Saturday morning we headed to the picnic at Ft Mifflin, which was a great time. We danced, ate, laughed, and toured the fort...before I had to go to work. After work I spent a little time learning to play Texas Hold 'Em before bed....and an earlier than I would've liked wake up this morning....

This morning we set out to Mt Hope to the PA Renn Faire. It was a really nice day! I have a couple pictures of my latest outfit...it's one I bought when Cat and I went to the MD faire a couple years ago, and since I lost weight it looks a LOT better on me...but I've grown two cup sizes since then...so it was a bit of a risky move there for a while. I was nervous I'd fall right out of it. I bought myself a new belly bell chain with stars and moons on it. We were there for a LONG time, and I'm exhausted...but it was a great day.....Man, I'm sleepy..pictures later...

I went back to Chicago for a few days last week. I miss that kid like crazy. I hate leaving him. I dragged him into a photobooth with me. Heh. It was pretty interesting. He didn't hate it, so we'll have to keep trying.

I need a new form of stress relief. Yesterday I took myself bowling and then to a dance class downtown. I think I;m going o try to keep doing at least the class on one of my days off. I need physical activity that isn't work related. I need something.

Man work makes me boring...hopefully I have something more to say later. Thanks for stickin around and reading...if you still do..even if I'm in a slump....there will be more interesting readings soon (I hope).

literally...i got sent to the er from work today because of an exhaustion.stress.work induced anxiety attack...ugh. this week i will have worked something like 80 hours, not including the time spent not working but sitting aroudn sleeping at the airport or some other such nonsense...ugh.

i'm back! chicago was a good time. it was SO good to see cat and nicky. i miss them so much! had to ride 4th out there, which was slightly unpleasant, but i made it alright. euterpe got to take her first trip, but the ONE picture i was after...i forgot to take. i wanted one at the airport...dammit. anywho, pictures as soon as i can. SO many pictures!
