Gimme a call
21st Century Young Women
Wednesday. 3.7.12 9:09 am
I've become great friends with all
(but one)
of the girls who work here. =)

Marriage and boyfriends have come up in
casual conversation multiple times
and I believe it is a topic that will occupy their minds
for a while (albeit short) yet.

Why?

They are my age, that is,
early twenties (only!)
and their families are pressuring them to get married.
Two of them already have wedding dates
and husband-to-be
arranged for them. =(
I feel torn and sad for them.
"Do you love him?"
The answers were these:
"No, I haven't even reached like yet.
Just acceptance for now."
"I just met him again the other day after a while and...
unfortunately, what little hopeful spark we had is gone.
I don't know what to do."
I cannot really say anything
for I am not from this country
and though I understand both viewpoints (traditional and modern)
it is not me going through this
so I know whatever I say is biased in some way.

I've overheard some of the girls talking
and it seems that 23-24 is an age
most of the young people get married.
"He's 24 already and still not married!"
exclaimed one of them.
Yet they do not seem so happy themselves to be getting married
but it is the norm.

=\

Invites for G to the Plus
Sunday. 7.3.11 7:38 pm
Guuuuyyyyzzzz

I need your gmails in order to send out invites. Note me now! Runnnnnz! Oopz, wrong way.

Fun stuff. Copy & paste this to take a look: plus.google.com

Me likey so far! Hangout sounds awesome, can't wait to try that out! But I need you guys so pleeeeaaaazzzzzeee grant my wish.

(Why am I using z's? I have no idea. Just felt like being teenager-y, I suppose.)

I also really like Sparks which reminds me of Pulse. I was looking for a desktop version at one point because I liked it so much. I now have a desktop version! =) But better bc some aspects of Pulse annoys me.

**Disclaimer - There is no guarantee that you will receive an invitation immediately. In fact, that is impossible. Especially with the amount of people clamoring for invites. Check your invite status at the website above. It will either allow you to set up (a.k.a. update your Google Account name, etc.) or have a "Keep me posted" button for you to sign up with a statement on the bottom, something like "If you have an invite, we are currently exceeding capacity. Check again later." Please allow a few days before asking for my head. Thank you!**

Byez.

p.s. Again, I don't know why. Just felt like it.

Uh, where'd that come from?
Monday. 12.4.06 9:24 am
Good Morning, NuTang! ^-^

Hmm, I found something strange last night. I was curving my fingers to reach for the '<' on the keyboard when pain seared through the top joint. It was a paper cut. Sure, that's nothing new, but I was near paper only twice yesterday and not at all last night. 0.o I also found a cut on the inside of my elbow. Both are raw and red--recent. I wonder...

P.P
Saturday. 12.30.06 12:13 am
What's P.P? Party Prep.

Ugh, I spent the whole day cooped up inside. No, wait--scratch that, I did go outside today. To buy breakfast. Yup, that was about it.

We made pretty good progress. The two pianos, the marble table, new floor lamp, and computer desk were in their new places last night. Today we moved the two glass decorative cases (they are huge--as big as bookcases), the new sofa, and the stacked chairs. Oh, and there were bags everywhere--they had to be moved, too. =/

We're not even done for the night yet! I'm hoping to move the Chinese trunk, the media case, and the bed before I go to sleep. *deep breath*

I'm going to have brunch--or yum cha--with my dad tomorrow morning, collect child support, and get my allowance. (*-*) Yay! Not sure if I mentioned this before, but like everyone else, I'm BROKE. I need the cash. $_$

I'll try to get it over with as soon as possible so I can go back home and finish everything. Then, I can confirm the party's existence with my friends. I mentioned it yesterday at the park, but I told them it was a maybe. *crosses fingers, toes, shoelaces and whatnot* And there are still more bags! Ahhhhhhh!

Dummy dummy dummy
Tuesday. 11.7.06 8:32pm
You'd think that with a day off I'd get to have some fun, eh? Nope, boy are you wrong. I left the house once today. I woke up at around 8:30-ish? wondering why my mother hadn't woken me up. I proceeded to the bathroom to start my morning ritual. I completed it and went on to the closet in my still obviously unawake state (you'll know why in a sec) thinking that I had very little time to get to school. Then my mother's phone rings.

"Hello? Oh, hi! Yeah...." She goes on to say, "You have to go to work today? No work today, they even said it on the radio! You do? Oh..." Then it hits me. Today's date was November 7th, 2006--ELECTION DAY! I hit my head against the closet door several times, berating myself idiot, idiot, IDIOT I have never forgotten a day when there is no school. Because that was something to celebrate.

Now I'm at my grandmother's house. Again. Because my mother probably won't go home tonight and she doesn't want to leave me all alone. Heck, I've been home alone for hours at a time. Surely, ONE measly night won't end in the renactments of Home Alone 1, 2, &3. She's going to one of the candidates' parties.

New Google+
Saturday. 7.2.11 9:46 pm
I had an entry about the beginning of 21st year but I haven't finished it yet. In the meantime...

I finally got into Google Plus! Let me know if you guys want invites. =)

Already downloaded the native Android app. Can't wait to get started! Of course, I need more people in my circles for that to really happen. ;)

So long, farewell!

-----------------------------------------------

Was supposed to post this earlier. =P

UPDATE: I dropped my phone into a sink full of water. -.-;;; I swiped it out quickly and it was still on/working after. It's now in a baggy of grain and will probably stay that way for the next 2-3 days.

Toodles!
