You'd think that with a day off I'd get to have some fun, eh? Nope, boy are you wrong. I left the house once today. I woke up at around 8:30-ish? wondering why my mother hadn't woken me up. I proceeded to the bathroom to start my morning ritual. I completed it and went on to the closet in my still obviously unawake state (you'll know why in a sec) thinking that I had very little time to get to school. Then my mother's phone rings.

"Hello? Oh, hi! Yeah...." She goes on to say, "You have to go to work today? No work today, they even said it on the radio! You do? Oh..." Then it hits me. Today's date was November 7th, 2006--ELECTION DAY! I hit my head against the closet door several times, berating myself idiot, idiot, IDIOT I have never forgotten a day when there is no school. Because that was something to celebrate.

Now I'm at my grandmother's house. Again. Because my mother probably won't go home tonight and she doesn't want to leave me all alone. ^{Heck, I've been home alone for hours at a time. Surely, ONE measly night won't end in the renactments of Home Alone 1, 2, &3.} She's going to one of the candidates' parties.

You don't understand.... where I live.... anime IS taking over. The school is mostly asian and they all talk about anime this and anime that.... and because of all that I've grown to hate it. Nobody who doesn't live here can possibly understand that. And it doesn't help that my brother is obsessed with it too. He talks about Naruto and stuff nonstop and is always speaking in Japanese.

I had to work today, but being in a restaurant means we're only closed 3 days out of the whole year {its a family business, christmas, thanksgiving and easter are the only three days}. And even though I've been able to vote for two years, I didn't. I haven't the last two years and I don't plan on it next year either. Unless there's something that I feel I should vote about.

at least you didn't actually have school today! My private school continued classes as usual. T_T

It would be sweet if a Home Alone movie was actually reenacted in real life.
