Have you ever ran up a hill and stood at the very top? Close your eyes, feel the breeze, and smell the apples in the air?

I love having the wind in my face. I have glasses(yes, I do!), but they don't stop the wind from entering my eyes. I like that. Sure, they make my eyes tear a little, but there's just this great sense of clarity that I get. Hair blowing around my head, chin held up high, legs stalking down the pavement. You can really feel a change happen inside.

For just an instant, something twists within and you feel confidence filling you to the brim. The hard air is coming at you straight on, your eyes are blurry *blinkblink* yet you can still see. The lighted trees shine from your left and the soft yellow of the closed college on your right.

It's just a wonderful feeling. Like you're all alone and yet not lonely. On a busy street yet everything's quiet and serene.

I am...how to say, crestfallen. An imaginary manga-version of me would be crying salty streams down my cheeks right now. Why? Because it means that Asians, or Chinese in my case, are not even close to achieving the admiration that so many non-asian ladies have, in the public eye. America's Next Top Model? NO. Pussycat Dolls: Search for the next doll? NO. Of course, we do have to take the last two standing into consideration. Ms. Melissa R. is most definitely Asian and it makes me proud that one of us has gone that far, to the final TWO, no less. But...she did not win. I hoped against hope for so long and I was finally relieved of that anxious burning oh-SO-heavy burden upon my chest. *sigh* I can only hope that next time, we'll go ALL. THE. WAY.

Just to clarify yet another mix-up: Scanlation = Scans + Translation. My job would be to proofread the translations, not translate the scans myself. XP Unlike Kuri-chan,I don't know another language well enough.

Guess what? The Dot has another performance coming up! =D

See, the dance school also has a dance company with all these professionals from China. Every year they have a Lunar New Year show--professional, meaning NO MISTAKES! Well, we got a new 'cast' of people so the show was called off last year, but it's back on this year. In, like, two weeks!

The Schedule
Sat. Run-through for lighting and whatnot
Wed. Rehearsal (6pm-11pm)
Fri. Rehearsal
SHOW 7:30pm
Sat. SHOW 2pm

Ooh, boy...we just had the first rehearsal yesterday! That's cutting it close! >.<''
And there will be another performance in Feb....dunno all the details just yet.

By-the-way, the Dot is NOT in the dance company. Just a student in one of the student pieces they decided to put in. And yes, the piece is the 'pancake hat' again.

What? It's good! That's why! XP

Oh, and yes, I have been in the Lunar New Year show before. Even though I was just a student. Special pieces, kiddy pieces, cute pieces, back-up pieces, a lot of people pieces...

I feel a bit...weird...

I just woke from my nap, boiled water for ramen, and I just have the strangest feeling coursing through my body. Sort of lethargic, foggy fuzzy minded, would-rather-watch-TV-than-come-to-NuTang mentality...*shudder* Ugh.

And wow, are there new people here! So many newbies...and I feel like I can't catch up..? *shakeshake* Maybe some TV will cure me/make me feel better...

I got a call last night at 8:20pm last night. A woman asking whether or not I was interested in a program that I had been nominated to join.

I had heard about it once or twice and obviously this woman was harping to me all the goodness about it, blah, blah, blah. I was professional, she said there was a meeting tomorrow(today), and I said yes, I would go. Even though I have to go to the historical society for a project due Thurs.--TOMORROW.

The meeting starts at 6:30pm, runs for an hour=ends at 7:30pm. Soo...that means I have to fit in the historical society exhibit between 4 to 5:30-ish pm. That's about an hour and a half, I don't know if I can do it.

I just wanna crawl back into my warm little bed right now and not think about anything. *sigh* Bye bye...
