After much writer's block, I wrote something. I had been avoiding the topic for a long time. I wrote about it in my personal statement to get into the program, but they were adamantly against discussing our previous statements. Which of course ended up making me very wishy washy about writing about that topic again. And...other stuff. Anyway, I wrote it and got second place. Whatever. How the hell am I supposed to compete with a girl who has a schizophrenic mother?

Blah. At work. I haven't had lunch and I still need to work. =(

Activity @ moment: Watching "Innocent Love" starring Horikita Maki and that guy who plays Nobuo in Nana. The title is bad, but the story's kind of interesting. Big fire when she was young, big brother rescued her, parents died and their deaths are blamed on the brother. Then the story goes on.

Started my first knitting project. I cast on too tight and decided to re-do it. Only I'm not cuz I'm typing right now. BTW: I never eally officially knitted before. Wish me luck.

Boy, do I need it. Arrrgh!

Well, I could get all my stuff and leave it at my grandmother's. I get back by the next morning, I can get my stuff and down to the theater by afternoon. As long as I can get there by 12 noon. I'm wondering if I should bring the stuff with me...but I don't want to have too much to look over and watch at all times. I'd feel a lot safer and less worried if I knew it was someplace safe.

*sigh* I gotta check the travel, etc. Thinkin' I should leave immediately after...

And it'd be best for me to go with a couple of people. Anyone wanna join me?

My backpack. I bought it a few months ago. Something about the size of a purse with the onvenience of a backpack. *nods* I like that. I've been stuffing it until bursting almost everyday. Except I'm now stopping that. This bag is only for sometimes from now on. >.> The new stalker keeps his eye out for it to find me. How great... Anyway, I don't want to get it dirty(more than it already is...and I need to wash it. soon.).

Actually, this is a man being taken out of the rubble from the earthquake in China. This was published in a Chinese newspaper here in New York. Go search for pictures on the web. There are many that will squeeze your heart.

Here is the same picture, but with flash. He looks a bit (Jesus) Christ-ish.

With the glowy halo-like brightness, the angle of his head + the blindfold and the crossing of his ankles, he looks almost regal.

New book to introduce to you all: The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston
It's a true story about a real murder case that ends up spitting the author out of Italy--forever--and dumping the man who introduced it all to him and became his partner investigator in jail.

Read the Introduction here that tells why he was in Italy in the first place, the basic details of the case as he first heard it and his meeting Mario Spezi (the buddy that winds up in jail). So interesting.

Mm, my puppy was pronounced healthy at the vet yesterday. Three more weeks and he'll get his last shots and he can go mingle with his fellows. Right now, he's sleeping on my lap. XD Lazy little thing.

I went to see the fireworks on Friday. I went with a friend and ten of his friends. >.> Do you see what's wrong with that? All alone among 'strangers'? Well, not strangers in that I wouldn't know how they'd act or whatever. Who is ever surprised by teenagers? But I actually had some fun. Made a couple of new friends. It was by no means a bad time. The fireworks were fab with the smiley faces and the 'willow trees' as my friend calls them.

*sigh* I haven't been back to the 'Tang in a while. How are ya'll doing? Feel free to rant in my comment section below if you dont want to do so on your own page.

Argh, I gotta get him off my lap. I need to find some food...

It seems I always talk of food whenever I'm here...As iki says, I AM a growing girl. I'm fine with that as long as it's my height!
