Today my boyfriend bought me another Hello Kitty toy from McDonald's. He got me two at once last time--one with glasses and a book, the other with a tennis racket. (I didn't ask him to, he just knows I like Hello Kitty. I don't usually collect these things, but he sees my face light up and gets me various knick knacks anyway. I have no idea where to put them.) This time it she's ice skating! =) It came with an mCode for a virtual Polar Pet from Hello Kitty. I tried using it, but it doesn't work. Oh well.

1.) Went to a major fundraiser for China's Earthquake. Latest numbers that night, aka. night of May 26th were: 60,000+ DEAD 26,000+ INJURED 350,000+ MIA

2.) New Recipe(if you can call it that): Macaroni elbows, carrots, and zucchini tossed in vinegar, garlic, and shallots. Yum. Backstory: I had seen the recipe for macaroni salad using vinegar and I didn't have mayonaiise so I made it hot my way.

3.) Oh, shit, I'm going to prom. *sigh* No dress, no shoes, no nothing. It was confirmed on Friday. *eyeroll* Ugh. Frustration. Anyway, it was a friend pact and I'm going through with it. His use of the word 'date' caused me to be all eyebrows, but whatever. I'm going to prom and I'm taking pictures. Hey, you're only eighteen once.

I'm gonna be eighteen! *girly freakout including shrieks, hypervenilating, and overusing the word "Ohmygod"* *Not.*

A poor little dot in need of new phone. New for the dot, the phone may be second hand for you readers. Urgent! Must have by end of weekend/early next week. Call 222-4444 or note the dot concerned. **Note: I like even numbers =]

Did I mention I still don't have a phone yet? Apparently, no one has any old ones lying around. The newest phone in my house not being used is from about...3 years ago. Yep. A few of my friends have Motorola and they return the used phones in exchange for money...so that's a no-no for me. =/

Anybody have an old phone fer me? Pleeeease? Pretty please with lotsa blackberries(fruit not technology), grapes, and Dibs ice weam on top? That's the stuff in my fridge--the stuff I like anyway. Well, the blackberries and grapes are here, the Dibs are in my dad's fridge in another borough. =P

Ah, I gotta fix the font for this layout. It's a bit small and hard to read...and waht's with the spacing?!

I'm actually at my gran's house right now--using her annoyingly slow modem. My screen isn't as bright as it could be as I don't have my lappie plugged into an oultlet. How kind of me. ;)

I believe I have made a tremendous amount of progress in the Immigration of Modules to the Right Island situation. Based on the information I've gathered through my connections, the highly intelligent dave, etheracide, and ikimashokie, I have found the correct placement for all my module-dudes and modulettes. However, I cannot for the life of me get them to come out of hiding and into the Silver-dot- Blog Square. *sigh* They are so shy. Do you, my fellow NuTangers, have any idea to make them appear on the Right side of the Screen?

Around the time I couldn't stand using my old MyTouch 3G anymore (which I resorted to because my G2 had suddenly given up on living even though I had everything set up so nicely and perfectly for me) Best Buy decided to have a one day promotion for the Samsung Galaxy SIII.

$49 only!!!

Bullshit. Fine print says for every other major carrier except mine. I asked the salesperson who assures me that I'll still get it for cheap, I'll just have to pay an extra $30 for my carrier's version. By the by, my carrier isn't the one that has special networks and is different from all the other American phones --> that's AT&T slash Verizon. (I can't remember if it's one or the other or both. Whatever.) I tell my dad, he doesn't care because he knows I just need a working phone.

We stand on line. And wait for at least half an hour. After which we are then told that the entire Best Buy network has been down and can't process ANY new activations or upgrades. Or was it only upgrades and no new activations? Or vice versa. Actually I think we already knew before we waited half an hour, because we were told they didn't know exactly when it would be up and running but it could be any time soon. So we had no choice but to wait. They were able to process a few in the meantime through the long way, meaning by phone and staying on hold and all that jazz.

Then they start skipping me. I don't mean other customers, I mean the salespeople. Now before you all so kindly get angry on my behalf, it wasn't their fault. They didn't get the necessary codes to process T-Mobile activations slash upgrades yet. (Best Buy doesn't have T-Mobile phones in their stores, but they can send you the handset for free.) Finally, a counter opens up and the salesperson calls out "Next" without asking which carrier I'm with. I immediately explain my situation and ask if they can process my purchase yet.

"If that's the case, just do it online. It's the same thing. They'll still send it to you for free. I don't know when we'll be able top help you."

THEN WHAT HAVE I BEEN WAITING HERE FOR???

I explain to my dad and we trudge out of the store with heavy sighs. Back at the apartment, I double check that everything is the same online and proceed to purchase. I encounter several technical issues and finally resolve to do it by phone instead. However, I end up speaking with a completely clueless customer representative on the phone (which makes me wonder what the requirements are for that job). Luckily the line disconnects before she annoys me further. I go back to purchasing it online. An hour and a half later, the purchase is completed.

End of Day.

This was back during the week before or of Christmas and I've been happily using my new phone ever since. ^^

How's my new layout?

It's a pic of the Canal St. station! And I found out that the person who made it doesn't even live in NYC...so where did the picture come from? I picked it for two reasons: the dark background (I mentioned that I wanted to experiment with one, didn't I?) and I know the station. It's the one I go to for dance classes every week.

Hmm...I want to put my modules on the right so you can see the actual station(instead of the artwork--half drawn, half photo). I did what Dave said to do (add those lines into the header), but...they didn't work! Someone help?

I've decided to stop doing pluggies. Sorry, but I keep forgetting. So I'll respond to your comments here in my entries or I'll note you.

Also, I added a new module! And I got rid of a few old ones. It's the one under my music. Go check it out!
