Have you ever ran up a hill and stood at the very top? Close your eyes, feel the breeze, and smell the apples in the air?

I love having the wind in my face. I have glasses(yes, I do!), but they don't stop the wind from entering my eyes. I like that. Sure, they make my eyes tear a little, but there's just this great sense of clarity that I get. Hair blowing around my head, chin held up high, legs stalking down the pavement. You can really feel a change happen inside.

For just an instant, something twists within and you feel confidence filling you to the brim. The hard air is coming at you straight on, your eyes are blurry *blinkblink* yet you can still see. The lighted trees shine from your left and the soft yellow of the closed college on your right.

It's just a wonderful feeling. Like you're all alone and yet not lonely. On a busy street yet everything's quiet and serene.

It's like getting away....

Today, the wind whipped around me as I pumped gas into my car. My favorite thing about the wind isn't the air rushing in my eyes, it's the way that it tosses my hair and my scarf around all haphazardly (even if I'm less than happy about how my hair turns out after a bout of wrestling the wind).

I like when things are nice and quiet...it's peaceful

I love the feeling too. Doing that on cloudy days or when it's about to rain. Waking up in the middle of the night to listen to the rain is nice too.

I like a light, cool breeze. I normally hate the wind, but a cool breeze can be nice. Especially right before a storm, like what Nuttz said. I could go for that right now actually.

I guess I'm different. I like the wind but I like it when it rains more. I'm talking about when it just rains, no lightning or thunder. The sound as it hits the roof is quite peaceful.

I'm like Southern, I like wind and all but I love the rain more. But unlike southern, I like the lightning and thunder. It lets me know that I am not the strongest being in the world. To feel like you're under something, yet free to do whatever you want, kinda kinky against the rain. I like to stand under the clouds and slide around on the pavement when it rains. Makes me feel alive.

Where the heck do you go to do that?!

And I don't like the wind that much. A breeze, yes. Wind, no. Just don't like it.
But similar to, but no alike, Southern and PsychoEnigma, I love the rain. Especially when it storms. I LOVE storms. I love to hear the thunder and lightning. Knowing that destruction is all around and not a single human being has any say in it is WONDERFUL.
Too many people control too many things now days. Storms aren't one of them. And I love them for it. They humble us all. Let us know that in God's eyes, or in Nature's eyes, we're all the same. We're all equal. It's great.
