Interesting. (another fat post)
Thursday. 1.25.07 10:46 am
Of course, being myself, I'm always amused by things I see on the telly, especially those for weight loss.

Dancer's Bar, also known as fluidity.

A fluidity body is "long and lean, with irresistible curves".

It's listed as 200 dollars on their page. The trial is 40 dollars.

Just two 30 minute workouts a week to flat sculpted abs.

Oooh, if folds to just 4 inches high (thick)

Wait, yeah, I could make it fold as well.

I could have a dancer's body.

"You very quickly see results", says one of th epeople in the commercial.

"It feels great to have a dancer's body"

Risk free for 30 days.....

Wow, the dancer's secret can be mine.

Yeah, I think I can make one of those. It might not be made of lightweight aluminum or steel, but I don't see why I couldn't make one.

Get a wooden bar, maybe ream it out and insert a length of rebar to add to it. For the legs... A hinge, a support beam (probably with rebar), and some other stuff.

I don't see it being that hard or that expensive to make.

Hrm.

Anyway, because I'm lazy, as well as curious, I put 7 dollars of my reveNue towards a boot leg slimlift.

I'll see how it works.

DON'T CALL ME MRS.!!!!!! >:O
Tuesday. 1.23.07 9:14 pm
Says Dr. Leslie K. Pendleton(Graham).

She decides to give us a lecture in our professionalism class (that we *must* take seriously), and goes on about calling people by her titles.

She's Dr. Pendleton before she's Mrs. Pendleton before she's Ms. Pendleton.

This makes sense, because one would hopefully politely assume that once a woman has passed the age of 35, she is more than likely married.

These days, I know that's baloney, but stick with me here.

So she's lecturing on titles. Of course, we figure, if you mistakenly address someone, they will correct you. Most people do. "I'm not a Dr.... Mr./Mrs./Ms./Your Majesty/nickname is fine".

But not Dr. Pendleton, oh, no, we are NOT to call her Mrs. Pendleton, as she is NOT married. Nor is Ms. Taylor.

She continued to scrawl Mrs. in big letters on the board, and then drew a big X through it. Then she started to gripe that there wasn't a term of espousal for men... it was Mr., regardless.

Really professional, hun, and completely uncalled for.

I think someone's had a bad/bitter divorce. :/

Either way, unless I know someones actual title, then I refer to them as Mr./Ms./Dr. Since Dr. outweighs Mr./Ms./Mrs., then she really had no reason to go on that rant at all.

Jason's friend says she'll get really pissy if you call her Pendleton-Graham...

Supposedly she was super pissed that she couldn't change her pid after her divorce. Might contribute to the bitterness.

Oh, Thweatt...
Monday. 1.22.07 1:53 pm
Such amusing emails.

"All Blackboard references should now be updated to reflect a change to my office hours. On Monday and Wednesday, I will be in my office from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

During those times, you may happen upon me having a bowl of soup. Please don't take that as an indication that you should come back later. I just need to make sure that I eat at the right times relative to my lectures so as not to drop dead in the middle of them. :D"

They're almost always so amusing.

A not so Important Entry...
Sunday. 1.21.07 1:51 am
I'll make an unimportant entry now.

I'm a bit annoyed, my teachers have been saying they'll put up assignments one day, put them up DAYS later, and they're still due the same day as they were in the first place.

Because my teachers are insane, I have between yesterday and Tuesday to read and absorb two chapters of nonsense (I still have to buy the book).

I have between 11a yesterday morning and Thursday to do 10 problems.

Granted, the problems are boolean algebra, they shouldn't be difficult.
The reading ... is for Professionalism. I'm sure it's something super boring.

I just hope the chapters aren't long.

I think I might stay in my shiny new room tonight, since I have to walk from here to there at 11a. I can wake up, do some work, eat breakfast... but then again, I still have to wash my bedding, because I don't trust Princess or her friends...

Macey says that random craziness seems to follow her about...so we'll see how that goes. She still seems pretty cool.

I've got an important to make... I'll make it later. :p

Yup... later sounds good.

YEAH!
Friday. 1.19.07 12:08 am
I gots my new room!

I gots my key yesterday.

New roomie seems quite cool, not... princessy like the old one. Down to earth.

New RA is cool, doesn't say "like" every other word.

New hall is nice... seems quiet. I'm next to the kitchen and bathroom.

So I get my key, go to my room, start moving crap in, and everyone shows up and is all "are you Jessica?"

No, I'm just some random person moving in. No clue who Jessica is.

Moved out of my old room, tried not to clean too much, since I haven't stayed in the room since October... September... I don't know.

Went to get RA to check out, had to wait five minutes, she was watching Grey's Anatomy. Looked like she was crying over it... Oi.

New roomie likes GA, it's not awful, but I avoid trendy shows. At least I try to.

I've come to the conclusion that housing hates me.

I've got my key. Awesome.
I move into my room. Awesome.
10pm comes, the building locks.
I swipe, red light. No entry for me.
I call directory assistance. I'm not listed in the room. :/
So I remember my roomies name, give it to her, the phone rings... But it's not all the way plugged in, *so*... no answer.
I ask some random dude to let me in.

I'm still at Dave's for now, I'll probably go back tomorrow and finish packing/unpacking.

New roomie has a really pretty rug.

School Commandments!
Wednesday. 1.17.07 9:04 pm
I've decided I'm going to try and do the following things this semester.

1. Go to class.
2. Stay awake
3. Pay attention
4. Take good notes
5. Read them at the end of the day/Study daily.
6. Start/review assignments the day they are assigned.
7. Keep a calendar in my notebook, update it and refer to it daily.
8. Stay on top of things.
9. Ask if I have questions.
10. Make sure I understand what's going on.
11. Office hours will be my friends.
12. Not get stressed over ridiculous things like stupid roommates and crappy computer service.
13. Walk to class, getting my blood flowing will help.
14. Check Blackboard regularly.
15. Sleep well, and eat a hearty breakfast.
