wow, so it's been a little while i guess. new in my life - a lot.

Let me think. I just finished up with finals on Friday. They were all over the board grade wise. But it was an off semester. There were two hurricanes that affected my family. Then my brother was in the hospital for a good little while. My roommate decided she wanted to drive me insane. And I have a new very good friend who gets me in trouble on a regular basis. I suppose I will have to try a lot harder next semester. Grades are decent, but I know they could be better. It's hard when all your friends are taking easy classes and you are, well, not. I shall learn to study more though. I hate spring semester so much though. It's so much longer. Oh, you don't believe me? Well, look at it. Fall semester you have just under 4 month with Thanksgiving break, fall break and Labor Day. Spring semester you have 4 months with Spring break and like two other three day weekends. It is actually slightly longer. And the fact that spring break is in March makes it worse. There is nothing to look forward to.

So, my roommate hates me these days. It all started as irritation, but then she left for California. And now I'm pretty sure she hates me. She introduced me to her best friend Jessica who I have met a few times, but never really hung out with. Well, Jess and I hit it off so well! We tried to hang out a couple more times after that and either Christina would tag along or she would get really pissed that we were hanging out without her. Well, then Christina lost her virginity to Jess's ex on Thanksgiving. The night she met him. This is after Jess specifically asked her not to do anything with him. SO, while I told Christina I didn't want to be involved, I think she realizes that I totally sided with Jess. I mean, she broke the cardinal rule. You NEVER hook-up with a best friend's ex. Period. Well, then Christina has continued to see the guy (who really had no interest at all until he found out she was a virgin) and then lied to everyone about it. So, I have been trapped in the middle. I really feel bad for Jess because she found out her perfect best friend was a backstabbing whore. And I feel bad for Christina cause some day she is going to realize she picked an asshole over her best friend. And he is an asshole. I cannot type the things he said about Christina that first night. And now they are dating. WTF? So, Jess and I have been hanging out a ton lately annd Christina is not happy about that all because she doesn't really have any friends anymore. I also found out that whenever Jess wanted me to hang out with them, Christina would make some excuse about me being busy or doing something else. Which may or may not have true, but she never asked to actually know that. So, combine the million things about her that really annoy me with the fact that I totally don't trust her and there is my roommate situation. And that wore me out and I have to go. So, everyone have a stunning day!

I had an apartment... it was infested with koala bears.
It was the cutest infestation ever. Way better than cockroaches.
I would turn on the light and a bunch of koalas would scatter...
But I didn’t want them to. I was like:
“Hey... Hold on fellows... Lemme hold one of you... you cuddly fuckers...
Don’t go behind the toaster, you can’t fit back there...
Come on out and I will apprehend you... and feed you a leaf...
I like everything about you except for your nose... and claws.”
Koala bears are so fucking cute.
Why do they have to be so far away?
Why can’t they be indigenous to where I am at?
We need to ship a few over... in a cardboard box... with holes in it

oh my dear blog. i have not foresaken you. i have just been busy. and little has happened lately that would be of great interest. However, last night, something did. Last night Lindsay and I went to the Palamino and had an awesome dinner. It was so so so good. Cheese fondue, portobello mushroom soup and chicken canelloni. It was amazing. And then we proceeded down to the fair grounds. That's where we saw it. We have wanted to go for over 2 years now. We meant to go when we were in New York after I graduated, but tickets were impossible to get and impossible to afford. But Lindsey got tickets for her birthday. And we went to see......WICKED!!!! And it was awesome. I am determined to go again when it hits Houston, and I will have awesome seats for it. It was so so amazing. I now love the Wicked Witch of the West. She's stunning. Oh, I can't even explain to you how amazing this show is. Everyone should see it. I new it would be good, but this was astounding. Totally worth the wait!

even though there is no one to read it.

So, lots of stuff had happened in the past few weeks. most interesting of which was the annual birthday bash. my brother and dad had their birthday on sunday and mine was wednesday and lindsey's is tomorrow, so we had a big party on saturday. because of the big hurricane, my whole freaking family was there. but for the most part it was all good. i do wish that my cousin was nicer and that my aunt hadn't gotten quite so drunk on saturday night, but the rest of the weekend was good. kevin and lindsey took me to my favorite bbq place for my real birthday dinner. it was nice. lindsey and i did a little of the evil gossip while we waited for kevin though. that's when i made the big decision that next time i hear sandy make a shitty comment to anyone, i will say something. no chickening out! i will do it! i also discovered something new a few days ago. foamy! that's right...foamy. go yahoo it and you will understand perfectly. it's the funniest shit ever. my weekend doesn't hold much excitement. i will be babysitting tonight and tomorrow. but i need the money, so it will be good. and i have a spanish test on monday and a genetics test on friday and genetics homework for wednesday, i think. doesn't that all sound quite exciting. but at least i don't have to work on monday. this is what i'm doing to pass the last 20 minutes of work. only problem is that i don't know what else to say, so i might have to be bored for the rest of the time. hmmm.....i'm hungry.

so, i'm not even half-way through the month and this is my free time right here. actually, this is time i should be using to study, but i'm wasting on nutang. so, lots of school and work going on. nothing really exciting or new there. i spent labor day weekend home and seeing my aunt. she used to live in new orleans. so, we went to make sure she was ok, had a place to live and some food and clothes. she can't go back to her apartment for at least 3-4 months. man, my calendar is just booked this month. exams, labs, work, babysitting, birthdays. almost everyday of the week has something written on it. but there are a few exciting things coming up. like tomorrow - i get to go pick up my nintendo! then there will be playing of much zelda. and it's only 2 1/2 weeks until my birthday. which means money and shopping. the nip/tuck premiere is next tuesday. that is going to be excellent. danielle is making a hall event of it, so i probably go to that. bones premieres this tuesday. that looks good - it'll be nice to see david boreanaz on t.v. again. wow, look at that! that excitement in my life is based on upcoming tv shows. now, i'm not sure how i'll have time to watch all that, but oh well. tuesday nights will be my free nights. and that's all that goes on in the life of me. most of it's too boring to go into major detail. damn the hard classes. college is supposed to be all fun and games. i'm really going for the wrong major!
