You Smell Funny
quote for the day
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'"
"A lifetime of happiness! No man alive could bear it; it would be hell on earth. "
-- George Bernard Shaw
song of the moment
The Hand That Feeds
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?
I'm baaaacckk!!

Well, after a short, unintentional hiatus, I have returned. I went home for about three weeks to deal with....car trouble!! I know, you are real surprised aren't you. So, now my car is happy and the guy who fixed it claimed that I shouldn't have any more problems for a long time. I'm just praying he's right. Although, despite the trauma, my puppy and I had some serious bonding time. I came back to Dallas yesterday afternoon. It was pretty depressing. Now I'm back to working 45+ hour weeks with lack of overtime pay. I have at least 7 hours left of sitting here today. And I might kill myself. This office is also the coldest place in the world. But I shall be online and nutainging quite often. It's the only way to make the work day pass. So feel free to update your nutangs and comment on mine and talk to me on aim. Cause if you don't, I'll blame my horrible boring remainder of the summer on you!!

Hold her hand while you talk. Tell her she looks pretty. Protect her. Tell her stupid jokes. Tickle her, even if she says stop. Slow dance with her. When she starts swearing at you, tell her you love her. Let her fall asleep in your arms. Get her mad, then kiss her. Tease her. Let her tease you back. Stay up with her when she's sick. Kiss her forehead. Let her wear your clothes. Go slow. Don't push anything. Kiss her in the rain. And when you fall in love with her, tell her.

® well, i really have nothing worthwhile to say at the moment, but i needed a short study break. i have a chem exam and calc exam tomorrow. eek! fortunately the chem will be most o chem stuff, so i can read about it all in the book. but there is one section i don't really understand. an i really need to get another 'a' if at all possible. then there is the evil calculus. i feel like i know what i am doing, but i just know that the test will be nearly impossible. i guess i'll do ten million practice problems tonight. and i'll still get a 'c'. but so goes life. he'd better give us a damn good review for the final though. and on that note...i only have one week of class left!!!! and it's only a three day week for me! the year is almost over!!! and i still haven't talked to chuck about my summer plans. he is always either not at work when i get there, or he sneaks out. so that's my job on monday. my new plan is to stay for a week from the 8thish to the 14thish. and then work until july. then on july 4th week i want to head home until school starts. but that obviously depends on the boss. and i'm watching e-bay like a hawk this week because i really want one of those nike-philips mp3 players for the gym. there is one that i really want running for $50 (including s&h) that ends in an hour. and, at the moment, i'll spend up to $75. now, if i actually get oen for that, i will be shocked. but i'm hoping. i figure the extra babysitting i did last week and the extra working i will do this week will more than cover that 'minor' expense. at least that's how i'm justifying throwing my money away. although, it will be great for the gym. i won't have to worry about it flying across the gym like my cd player tends to when i catch my hand in the cord. it's sad because a lot of people do it. if i have one, i can stop avoiding the treadmill. see, justification!

Next semester
Wednesday. 4.20.05 10:21 am
Just in case you are wondering (snd you probably are not), here is a glimpse of next semester's schedule.

MWF
800AM Organic Chemistry - Biehl (50 min)
900AM Spanish II - Nelson (50 min)
1000AM Genetics - Orr (50 min)
1100AM Economics - Dadres (50 min)

TTh
800AM Spanish II - Patterson (50 min)
200PM Organic Chemistry Lab - unknown TA (3 hours:Tuesday only)

Yeah, doesn't really look too bad. Out on MWF by 1200PM. Only one class on Thursday. Woot! It is only 14 hours, but O Chem is a bitch at SMU. We rank as one of the most difficult places to take O Chem. I may add a Wellness on TTh at 900AM, but I may just wait until spring. Iam also living in an apartment style dorm next year. That means I have a kitchen with a stove and I can actually cook more than three things. Yeah, you know you're jealous.

time shifts
Wednesday. 4.13.05 12:05 pm
so, i figured that i would have more time for me this semester. i mean, i've pretty much completely adjusted to college life and a fairly settled work and gym schedule. yet, i don't seem to have the time i had last semester when i was trying to do more. i barely have time to lounge at my computer these days. i watched almost every astros game last semester and have missed about half of the spurs games this semester. all time on aim seems to be about 10 min a week. i don't watch near the amount of movies i used to. i feel like i am constantly studying. and my grades are the same this semester as they were last. so what is going on? where is the time going? i don't sleep any more than i used to. i don't wander around target aimlessly like i did last semester. hell, if i even go to the store, it's an in-and-out in five minutes type of thing. maybe it's my class schedule. next semester's schedule will require much more thought. maybe i'll will work on that tonight. after studying for the bio practical, watching the spurs game and going to the gym. at least i don't have to be anywhere until 1120 tomorrow. i have a feeling it will be a busy last few weeks. but as of saturday, i have exactly 3 weeks left!! how exciting is that?!?!
