i've been coughing for over a month now, and although its nt the longest stretch by far, i am still irritated. tried almost everything from polytechnic prescriptions to off-the-shelf medications, tcm herbal powder, tea and even attempted to lay off the cancer sticks for a few days.. but still to no avail.

and so, after all tt, i was really pretty damn annoyed, tt i visited the company doctor, raffles medical, after work today..thinking tt since its free, might as well give it a shot, even though i heard from a few others tt the medicine they prescribe nv get u cured. but still, i wanted to give it a shot, and just now, after talking to the doctor, i got the most shocking diagnosis of all..

guess what? i was told tt my persistent cough is the result of acid reflux from my gut and this is also somehow caused by alcohol, even though i dont really drink tt much..just once a month, twice at most. and the cure?

i have to fucking lay off the booze, nt for one week, one month, but my entire lifetime! means zip, zero booze for me, ever! "nt a single drop" in the words of the doctor. wtf?!

even though im nt an alcoholic, or even a hardcore drinker by the mildest standards, i still love my booze, esp the hard liquor..once a month usually, with my army buddies mostly..but now along comes a doctor telling me tt i have to quit the booze for my entire life?! and im only freaking 22 this year!

shit..i am really finding it hard to swallow such info..

I finally started my practical driving lessons this week, after so many obstacles, since i started taking my theory tests end of last year. and it was quite challenging, to say the least, but still a lot of fun, hah.

during my first lesson on wednesday, i kept stalling the car, cos i couldn't grasp the biting pt probably and released the clutch too fast.. and my steering sucked, like i was zigzagging on the course the whole time, esp when negotiating turns. but today was better, at least i had a better feel of the clutch, steering and could judge correctly when to execute my turns, but nonetheless, i still suck. then again, i guess its to be expected, since its only my first 2 lessons.

and after nuaing for 2 weeks, i started working this week at my former part time company, geberit, as operations executive; my job scope being inventory management and servicing. i also had tons to learn, mainly abt company operations and product knowledge. and although this week being my orientation week, was quite slack, next week on will be busier i guess, as my stores are starting to come in and i have to start arranging and managing the inventory after the rackings are erected. so well, yeah, im officially part of the ratrace liao, haha.

work and driving aside, today being saturday, i went down to cheng san cc in amk to play bball again, as i've been doing for the last couple of weeks, after finding some worthy opponents there. to my unpleasant surprise, the cc was holding some crap dinner function at the event hall next to the court and we were chased off by the cc staff shortly after arriving, saying tt we were disturbing their event. wtf.

made our way to another court somewhere ard amk, found nt a single soul playing, was on our way to another, met someone who told us tt court was empty too, so after some deliberating, we decided to take a cab to sengkang cc to play, since the court there was sheltered; and it did look like rain soon, and also because there were always gd players there.

so 5 of us squeezed into one cab, and the taxi ah lao was damn cool can, he played techno! somemore is his own cd, nt radio de.. we were quite pleasantly surprised, and he told us he got the same reaction from alot of other passengers our age too..haha.. when we finally got to sengkang cc, the court was occupied by some taekwondo class; although they were only using one side, leaving the other free for play, we were prevented from playing when one of them came and told us tt they had booked the entire court and tt their students would feel distracted by us playing ball there. he even gave us a smug snigger, like hehe! wtf..

shit, i was starting to think today must be 'world anti-basketball day', when we finally got to one court after walking for 10 min, and found some poly, ite kids playing there. finally! since we were sick of wandering ard anymore, we just settled down and played with them..damn shag now..must be the age and lack of exercise..haiz..

finally, after serving the nation for 1 year 10 mths, i got back my pink ic today..and i can happily say ORD LOH!! and adios to saf liao. at least for now la.. damn..nv tot tt the color pink looked so nice before..hah

but then again, ord liao also dunno what's gg to happen..most likely is join the ratrace and work lor, since studies dont look like a feasible choice at the moment..other than tt, ord today also dont feel any different fr any other day, just happier tt i'm again a mister now instead of 3sg or cpl simi simi.. and yar, like alvin said before..changes again..sian. dunno whats gg to happen in the future, dont feel like thinking abt it..so just take one step at a time la..

having said tt, i dont feel tt i have totally wasted my near 2 years in the saf, got learn sth la, like meet alot of different ppl, gd ones, bad ones, made some gd frens, relieved to find tt there are ppl out there more fucked up than me..haha...yar. then also changed my mindset and outlook on certain things, lets just say now nt so narrow minded liao and slightly more tolerant than before..

and so, time flies, seems like it was only ytd when i enlisted in bmt and went thru all tt shit..hai..gd times, bad times, time really pass quite fast...because i actually planned to write all these 'reflections' on ns life like 10 days to a week before i ord..then today just plan to write one big big ORD LOH!! as entry. but guess i nua too long liao..too lazy to even come and blog..so tu until today the actual date..hah..

once again..my life is at a milestone and crossroads of sorts, nt tt i really can do much, just waiting to see what will happen..to all those of my frens like alvin, wilson, ken, etc..start counting down lor..very fast de la...and if ur want to celebrate or what when all have orded...count me in lor..hahah.

i guess i must be really bored to be blogging again in like such a short span of time. but i believe in jotting down stuff lest it slips through my incredibly short term memory.

no. this has nth to do with the present. in fact, its gt to do with my muay thai training ytd.

i think after a month of training, i've gotten slightly better..gotten my stance and punches down pat, but still need to work on my balance after roundhouses and also the power on the left roundhouse. sad to say though, my fitness dont seemed to have improved at all..the pt session is still the most torturous of all to me..felt like keeling over and just dying during the third and final set.

anyway, some highlights fr ytd's training, which i attended as makeup cos i too lazy on tuesday and fri got guard duty..

met some newbies in the class..four of them in fact..finally! im not the only new kid on the block amongst all the seasoned lao jiaos. next to them, i actually looked abit zai for a change.

two of the newbies happened to be girls too..one of them pretty hot..hah. she looked totally clueless, nt to mention cute too when she was trying out all the different moves; i even had to help her do up the hand wraps before we started. heng i managed to unravel the mystery to doing it up properly after 3 weeks of trying..if nt will be damn sia suay i think.

needless to say, i was more than motivated to do better ytd...partly because of the fact tt the newbies kept looking to me for guidance(why me of all ppl i have no idea), and partly because i imagined the target to be lao john(cb kia from camp) when i was sparring and hitting the sand bag.

lol, best muay thai lesson i ever had.

went for my second wisdom tooth op this morning. the right side ones. had to wait one plus hr for the op to begin cos i was late..all because of the traffic jam on farrer rd..sian.

well, im nt gg to gross u all out with gory details or pictures this time round since its been done before and therefore isnt tt much interesting liao..plus, its nt nice la..

but having said tt, the whole op was nt without incident also..the dentist, noting tt i had bled a hell lot the last time rd, took greater precaution by applying the blood clotting medicine right after the lower one was removed..and again when the upper one was done.

thought it would make things better but turned out not to be so, since i was still gushing blood half hr after the op...and i had to go for re-op to re-stitch the wound and get a second dose of the medication..wa...

again, i didn't understand the cause of the bleeding when it was told to me either because its really too chim or i too dazed.

and now, the anesthetic is starting to wear off liao, my mouth is swelling like mad, plus its also kan tia...
