heh, first entry of 08. happy new year everyone. so fast, another year has gone by in a flash.

in the last year, many things have happened, none of which more significant than ord-ing, or issit rod-ing fr army. as of 7th may 07, my 2 years of conscription in the saf has come to an end, a permanent one i hope, lol..altho i dont really mind going back for reservist, but still, i can only say, its good to be a civillian once again after 2 long years of blood, sweat and tears slaving away in the singapore army.

even tho some events of those 2 years will stay with me forever, remaining clear as day in my mind's eye, very quickly, 7 months had gone by since i ord-ed, and also nearly the same for when i started working at geberit, as i chose to rest just 1 week after ord..since for me, working is definitely better than nuaing at home everyday waiting for time to pass; of which i have also done alot during the last half year, esp when im on leave or during ph when im not working, i was almost always at home whiling my time away doing essentially.. nth at all. lol.

made some new friends in the last half year, but some of them were essentially friends of yester-years fr my neighbourhood whom i had ceased contact with when i entered poly and army. well, its actually due to the fact that i tend to have lots of contact with only one grp of friends at one time, neglecting the others..lousy way of putting it i guess.. but i think it concludes that i have a small social circle really, so much so that when everyone in a particular grp of friends are engaged with their own activities, im left with alot of spare time to waste at home, playing computer games and watching movies and anime online.

and so, new year's eve was spent almost entirely at home, since i got drunk on red wine and bailey's at fatass's house on the 30th..hahah..and i only woke up late afternn on 31st. met a couple friends for late dinner at ard 11pm, and after dinner, almost got into a fight with one of them over some stupid comment i had made earlier on, because said friend had an even hotter temper than me. what a spectacular way to end the year eh? nah. i chose nt to fight and walk away, as i have been doing for the last few fights i got into..cos its really stupid to trade fists over stupid little things, end up only both of us will come away bruised and du lan.

so once again, new year, fresh start, as many would say. how cliche. for me, new year, but im still doing the same old things i did before..cos i dont believe in setting resolutions like i said long ago before..they nv get done.

anyway, im currently embarking on a weekly cardio and gyming routine with an old friend, as we both aim to get back our old fitness in the army..mostly for vanity's sake i guess, but also because it'll really benefit us in the long run. hope i can sustain longer than 2 months this time rd, lol.

as for what im gg to do this year, i guess its continue working, as i have nice job at my company, good upcoming opportunities, and also the possibility to get a sponsored local part time degree..just that i still have no idea what i want to study, even after pondering for half a year in 07. haiz..

i think i also need to widen my social circle and activity scope to more than just gaming, watching movies and stuff and the occasional drinking; all with the same old ppl. and mayb gcb and fatass are both right, the key to changing my lifestyle and personality is to get myself a gf. hah. so, any hot girls out there want to hook up? or anyone want to introduce some nice girls to me? lol.

seems like its been damn long since i came up to nutang and updated my blog. but then actually its only been a month.

well, nth much really happened actually. what i actually did during this period was go on another trip to kl. but ttz also like 2 weeks old stuff. anyway, i will be gg down there again in the beginning of 08, and probably many times during the coming year. since my job scope is widening into sales and product management and my boss has assigned me to the malaysia market.

wanted to come up here and bitch abt stuff tt im unhappy abt last week, but found tt nutang was down fr some hacking crap, lol. i actually even thought of starting a new blog at blogspot, but was just too lazy to go abt designing a brand new page with all the little things here and there. and when i finally got down to doing it, i couldn't get the domain address i wanted, so fuck it i guess, since nutang was back up after a couple of days.

anyways, during the last month or so, i also got hooked on a new game called wolf team, which is similar to counterstrike, a fps, but with some twists. i was so hooked on it that i played everyday after work and even stop playing dota totally, haha.. i guess deep down inside, i just have to urge to shoot and snipe ppl with rifles and stuff..which explains why i really like fps games. lol.

ytd being christmas eve, wanted to come out with poly pals for a gathering, but since its too last minute, everybody also had their own plans liao, so forget it. nvm, heng i got backup, went bbq at seletar dam with my dota, bball gang. i nv knew bacon tasted so good when bbq until last nite..lol. went to partyworld afterwards and sang until 6am today. great fun, except tt the booze was too ex, otherwise would have gone for more, cos seriously 3 guys to one tower is really nt enough; we had to drink really slow to make it last the full 4 hrs..sian.

very fast, 2007 is gg to be over liao, and i dunno what to think and say again..but nvm, we shall see..merry christmas all.

something's not right, i think. even though i've been back from kl for 3 days ald, i still dont feel like im back..everything's still like sort of surreal, as in, im physically back home, but mentally, i still feel different, like im elsewhere..

mayb its the medicine, or something else totally that's making me feel this way..i dont know la, really.

the moment i got back to singapore on friday afternn, i got damn sick; even on the way back in the coach, i ald felt feverish and stuff...lol, it only got worse upon coming back home..so bad that i had to see the doctor on saturday morning..who came to the conclusion that i must have caught a bug down there in kl sometime during the week, and aided by the unfamiliar climate there, and my chain smoking; lol, 1 pack a day for 4 days in a row...it culminated in the worst way possible and got me bed-ridden the entire weekend, damn.

anyway, even on the way to work today, i still had that surreal feeling somehow. hack, when i woke up in the morning, the first thing i did was to reach beside the bed for a cig, like i did for the entire last week in the hotel while in kl; only to find no cigarettes at all, and rmbring that i'm actually taking a break from smoking because of im still on medication.

ok, enough of the surreal feeling stuff. some bits abt my kl trip..as you might not have guessed..it was actually not a holiday for me, but a working trip..my boss sent me there with another senior colleague to attend commercial meetings together and to help our dealers there out with some technical stuff, and of course to soak up some experience working overseas. haha.

great experience really, i would say, since its the first time in my life that i've done sth like this. did learnt some stuff about working overseas and with different types of ppl and also not to anyhow shoot my mouth off, lest i create unnecessary trouble, lol.

of the 300 plus ringgit that i changed and brought along..200 went to booze, abt 50 to cigs, since they were so cheap compared to back here in singapore; and mayb thats why i got sick also, so unhealthy sia..and the remaining went to miscellaneous stuff like snacking, tipping and stuff. hotel accomodation was paid for by the company, food too, but only the std 3 meals per day.

food there was fantastic, esp the local chinese food, as they did not have such a great emphasis on healthy cooking and stuff, thus most of the time the food we had turned out more flavoursome than one could ever find in singapore.

oh well, i guess there's really nth much else that i could write abt, since most singaporeans have been to kl at least once or twice in their lifetimes, as its only a 5 hr ride by road, or even faster if u choose to go by air.

thought that it was gg to be another same old sunday when i woke up today, consisting of the usual anime, dl-ed movies, dota and bball at night. but it turned out to be quite different and interesting.

In place of the same old things that i usually do on sunday night, i went fishing with alvin, joe, sam, gcb and a couple other friends at pasir ris town park. initially wanted to just go down there to pass time and mayb pick up fishing fr al and co, but it ended up to be quite a lot of fun.

seriously, i did not knw there was so much to fishing; hw you bait the line, toss it, check it, blah blah..right down to hw to guess what kind of fish it was on the other end once its hooked and you're fighting and reeling it in. learned quite a lot today and we actually caught 4 fish..one of them quite big too.. tho i dunno if such an outcome was good or bad for our time spent there (3 1/2 hrs), but it was definitely a fun and brand new experience for me.

at one pt, we even went down on our hands and knees in an attempt to scoop up a fish that constantly swam too close to the edge of the pond, and we did it with our bare hands, since we did not have a net handy. even though we failed, it was still damn exciting while we were at it.

so, next time u feel sian and have nth interesting in mind, find some friends to go fishing..its definitely fun..i for one will surely go again if and when alvin they all have the mood for it.

yet another weekend has gone by in a flash, even though all i have done in that very short 2 days and 1 night has been dota, nearly getting throttled to death by fatass whilst playing monopoly ,watching yet another bball game and ktv.

seems like quite alot but actually i dont feel like having done anything significant at all. probably because its just too short, those 2 days of weekend at the end of every work week.. kind of feel empty after it all, every week, even though i did enjoy myself at ktv, bball games, dota and the occasional billiard and bowling sessions.

damn, i wonder why, i really do. either i need a longer weekend; which isnt really quite possible at all, or i need to totally change my life. just that i dont knw how, when and what. sian.

finally got a new comp, after so long. wouldn't have happened though, if the old one hadn't broken down at just the right moment.

oh well, nvm tt. got quite a gd bargain for this new one. had it assembled at sim lim after choosing all the specific stuff i wanted..cool. hehe, now i can finally play dota and other games at home. lol
