Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be? Shout! Counter | Nuffnang Wednesday. 5.30.07 12:11 am well, most of the singaporean bloggers would have already caught on to this from miss xiaxue's blog. its www.nuffnang.com.sg basically, someone unwitting ly stole Dave's idea, and brought it to a grander stage. That is, a blogging community will be able to share advertising payouts based on the amt of hits each blog gets, and since they are doing it with all the hoohas, they have big companies like Nike being one of the said advertisers. its still in the beta stage, and it already has a presence in msia. where it was first launched. i'm exploring the website and there is THIS.. hmm.. interesting.... No harm trying i guess. Comment! UN to abolish Traditional Chinese Wednesday. 5.23.07 12:12 am I was reading Silver-dot's blog and i thot.. u gotta be kidding me... what has anything got to do how the chinese write their mandarin? its crazy! den i googled - http://pinyin.info/news/2006/un-to-drop-traditional-chinese-characters-report/ and than there's a pretty legit looking - http://www.gopetition.com/region/237/8314.html Altho Singapore only uses Simplfied Chinese, its not that difficult to master, appreciate and understand Trad Chinese. In fact Trad Chinese in HK and Taiwanese comic books pulled my mother tongue grades up tremendously from Cs to As, with no extra effort. - Ok, i had a terror of a China teacher too. ;o) I always thot that trad chinese are a beautiful language capable of conveying every little naunce of emotions. Whereas simplfied chinese, altho easier to write, loses much in between the lines. Its like trying to read Nicolas Sparks in sms lanaguage you know. Its just not the same. I don't know abt you, but I'm signed the petition. Comment! (6) | Recommend!
