The Grass Is Greener
Quote
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous.
Actually, who are you not to be?

The Black Knight
http://www.cmi-lmi.com/enterppp.html

Your distinct personality, The Black Knight, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to win. You approach each task or situation as a contest to be won strategically and efficiently. Because you can control your feelings, it is not unusual for you to charm, as well as successfully delegate tasks and responsibilities to the more emotional types. You are often concerned with what's in it for you. You seldom involve yourself in activities where you can not foresee a reward for your investment or effort. On the positive side, you can be analytically empathic and logically persuasive. On the negative side, you may be unemotionally manipulative as well as impulsive. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

gonna be really busy doing my assignments these days.
strangely enough I'm pretty happy doing them. LOL

went all the way to sch with the girls and Mr Marcus to do supposedly work on the assignment together in the library there. But alas... it turned out to be xiao long bao day....lol

everyone was late... i ended up waiting for pple, which frankly doesn't happen that often seeing that the tendency for me being late is higher. anyways... me and Lindy decided to go for xiao long tang bao coz I was craving for them. had 2 servings at this shanghai -ese restaurant called Eastern at centrepoint. its pretty good!

we ended up reaching sch at 4.30pm...lol... so after settling down, reading the newspaper, complaining abt not having the mood to do, we decided to go shopping! anyways the sch is closing for the day so we HAD to move.

went marina sq after that. There was a Women's Fair going on. We did a FREE "Luxurious Strawberry Hand treatment" which is actually just a parrifin wax hand treatment, spun some wheel of fortune and I got like 200+ worth of free gifts and vouchers, and signed up for my long-wanted magazine subscription and got an eye cream, blemish cream, and facial wash free, and finally we bot HAPPY BAGS!

Happy Bags so named becoz they cost 3 bucks each, u get a tote filled with a bunch of stuff thats different in every bag. So u get a surprise every time u get one. U get samples of shampoo, traveler pack facial products, mini makeup stuff, spa and facial and shoe vouchers, i got Clodhoppers in one of mine, traveling pouches, perfume samples, Lindy got Voxy nail polish in one of hers, and there is even toothpaste and skipping rope.. etc etc etc...

but the point is, you won't know what you are getting.

tons of freebies everywhere.

Unexpectedly went to.... Imperial la Mian Xiao Long Bao restaurant for dinner with a grp of Jaye's frens. yup, its xiao long bao again. i would say the xiao long bao here is even better! Jaye's frens were already inside... so... haiz

so I had a full fledged xiao long bao day...lol

p/s: xiao long bao is a chinese steamed bun that has a meat filling with hot clear soup wrapped in it. u can imagine, its not easy to make, blessed is Singapore to be a food haven.

As according to the Herald Tribune, based on a variety of factors.
Singapore definitely ain't included, its seems they take political freedom as an important issue. I wonder whats the fuss. *smirk*

I wonder if maybe this is why Italy is not in the list.

Mafia crime is 7% of GDP in Italy, group reports
By Peter Kiefer
Monday, October 22, 2007

ROME: Organized crime represents the biggest segment of the Italian economy, accounting for €90 billion in receipts, according to an annual report issued Monday.

The report, titled "SOS Businesses" and released by the Confesercenti, a major business association in Italy, asserts that through various activities - extortion, usury, contraband, robberies, gambling and Internet piracy - organized-crime syndicates account for 7 percent of Italy's gross domestic product.

"From the weaving factories, to tourism to business and personal services, from farming to public contracts to real estate and finance, the criminal presence is consolidated in every economic activity," the report said.

The €90 billion, or $128 billion, compares with the figure of €75 billion in the group's 2006 report.

Also highlighted is the trend of collusion that big businesses, especially in public works, participate in. "The businessmen prefer to make a pact with the Mafia rather than denounce the blackmail," the report said.
