These are the days of our lives, or something...

Well, going back to work, I found that the place is filled with interesting stories. Ok, first and foremost: Tom still works there!! I was quite pleased to discover this. I truly respect Tom because he works his ass off, is honest, and doesn't take shit from people. On the other hand, pain-in-the-motherfuckin-ass Art is still there. Heh, this is where things get interesting. Let me interject into my own train of thought here with this: since the day that I was introduced to Art, I had a creepy, uneasy gut-feeling about this guy. As I started working with him, that feeling just grew exponentially, especially when I saw him flip out a couple of times. I seriously think this guy's gonna go homocidal sociopath on people sooner or later. Well, he sucks at the job for some unknown reason, yet he flips out of you keep correcting him, and he flips out if he's working for like 8+ hours (which happens fairly regularly). To try and give you a better understanding, Art is the kind of guy that has his lips firmly planted on the boss's(bosses's) ass, but flips a shit around his co-workers. His psychological profile would be interesting. I'm sure it'd include bi-polar, delusional psychotic rage, with some chemical imbalance in his brain. So yeah, I am afraid to be alone in the same room with this guy because I don't know if he's gonna flip out or what. He's a big guy too, which is why I worry. I'd say he's about 6'3", 210 lbs (muscular), and nutsy--not a good combo.

-Ok, so back to my original thought-

Most of you know about my stalker situation from work. So, I look at the schedule and don't see April's name on it, so I ask Tom about it. Here, she sort of had something going on with Art after I blew her off, but then she got weirded out by him and ended up quitting. Another girl that worked as a server, Heather, quit because of Art, also. He called her up one night (all employees get the phone list for calling off, etc.) and asked if she had a boyfriend, and she told him yeah, his name is Jim (or something, I forget). Then, Art's like "oh yeah, Jim...blah blah blah". So, they get off the phone and Heather talks to her boyfriend about it, and he says he never met anyone named Art, and doesn't know an Art. Talk about fuckin weird!!! Especially because what Art was saying about this guy was true, yet the guy had never met Art. To highlight his delusional side, he likes to create stories and make things up. For instance, Art's mother is dating an older gentlemen. Well, the older gentlemen knows Jade's (a front desk girl) mother, and he told her that Art's mother was saying that he was dating a lovely girl named Jade from work. Well, that was and is not the case, so Jade freaked out when she heard about it. So yeah, this guy is a fucking loon. Yet, he's still there, and he still sucks. But, the plus is that Tom is still there and my stalker is gone.

It wasn't too bad being back at work (granted it was only for two days). I felt like the new guy though, because I saw so many new people working there, it was weird. However, the people that had been working there all remembered me and were glad to see me back. Heh, people like Tom and the other cool people all said "come back, please. forget about school." Eh, sorry guys, but I would be the lamest of lame if I quit school to work at the Radisson. I worked a good 16.5-17 hours between yesterday and today, so it'll be nice to get those paychecks (I straddled pay periods).

(That icon is the closest one to describe "bling bling". Except I see that funny hat and it makes me think he's sportin leiderhosen [or however you spell that]. In which case he probably would not be 'bling bling", but damnit, he'd have his stein of lager and be happy!)

Well, I have the intentions to update this thing, but I have to get ready for work. So, once I get back, I'll have a good bit of info with which to update. Anywho, I'm out like the fat kid in dodgeball...

And I wonder...

I was thinking...

To be lame and quote a movie, "...experience life, even for just a moment. Hell, life is just a series of moments anyway." In my ponderings last night, truly loving someone (rather than something), just being in that moment where you look into their eyes and tell them how you feel, getting frustrated--even to the point of tears--because the words "I love you" don't even come close to how much you feel for that person, that is, to me anyway, what it is to be alive. To experience something like that is probably the most real experience you'll ever have. To get all religious here, if you even acknowledge the presence of God and take the biblical ideals into account, then I propose that moments like that are exactly what God was trying to explain to us. To love like that, be in that moment, to be alive; could that be the meaning of life/why we are here? The idea clicks with me, and I support it wholeheartedly 100% if it is, in fact, God's master plan. I'd say it's one hell of a good one if it's all about love, regardless of its momentary nature. I could be thinking too far into this, but it isn't too far fetched to suggest that we only experience such wonderful moments of love and experience its loss because we are human. I'd like to think that the basis of "heaven", as whatever it may be, it the experience of those moments lasting forever. Damn if that doesn't put a smile on my face.

I know it's beyond easy to become jaded, but of course I say don't give up on it. Live for those moments. After all, if those moments embody what it is to be alive, to exist, then you're not living unless you do.

I am the epitome of lame...

Hott gram, I was so bored last night!! How sad is this: I was here, alone in my room, and I annihilated the entire bottle of wine and 2 keg cans. Yay for getting drunk for no reason, woo!

"Like I've ever drove before"...
Saturday. 10.11.03 5:05 pm
Ok, I'm bored, so this means I'm gonna surprise you all by updating my journal (it's craziness, I know). Thursday morning I was picked up by my mom to go home for a physical and whatnot. It was a yearly physical, but more so I got it because you need a physical in order to get your permit/driver's license. So, I got there, got weighed, measured, got my balls grabbed, etc. then realized we had forgotten to bring my sheet that the doctor has to fill out/sign. We headed back to the house, grabbed the form, and I grabbed my leftover alcoholic beverages from the week before school started. Heh, my mom was amusing--she grabbed a bag (brown paper bag-like, ha) in which to put my Heineken keg cans, then she asks me, "do you want a bottle of wine?" why, sure I do. So, I've got 3 Heine's and a bottle of wine--better yet, a bottle of altar wine, woo! Ha, I don't know if that's wrong or what, but I've got a bottle of wine and I'm sure it will be consumed. So, we headed back to the doctor's office, only to find it was closed for an hour and a half lunch break. Motherfucker. So, we went back home and my mom grabbed her various drugs to get refilled. We dropped off moms narcotics to get refilled, then went to Subway for lunch. Hot gram does Subway own me. So, after stuffing myself (I ate 2 footlong subs), we went back and dropped off the damn form at the doctor's office. After all of that run-around, we hit 220 south down the other side of the river, then hit 15 near Shamokin Dam. This is how much my mom rocks: she took me to Totem to get my eyebrow repierced, then paid for it! My mom is so awesome. I know you're jealous. Better yet, she gave me money when I got back to school. Gotta love my mom.

Last night was the oh-so-exciting Pat McGee Band/Michelle Branch concert. I dunno, the music was played well and it was good and all, but it just wasn't very exciting. The Pat McGee Band only sparked my interest when they started to jam in a couple of their songs, and when they played a Pink Floyd cover. Otherwise, ha, their music sounded like the soundtrack for a WB show like Dawson's Creek or something. Michelle Branch was good, and of course her band was full of some talented musicians, but, again, it just wasn't that exciting. I guess going to see concerts like DMB and SCI (and on another level DT and In Flames) has spoiled me, because those concerts were amazing. The crowd really makes a concert. I spent most of the time sitting down last night. I could have just as well been sitting there listening to their CDs. Oh well. The ticket was only $15 and I was like 10 yards away from Michelle Branch, so I'm not really complaining too much.
