Saturday. 10.11.03 5:05 pm Ok, I'm bored, so this means I'm gonna surprise you all by updating my journal (it's craziness, I know). Thursday morning I was picked up by my mom to go home for a physical and whatnot. It was a yearly physical, but more so I got it because you need a physical in order to get your permit/driver's license. So, I got there, got weighed, measured, got my balls grabbed, etc. then realized we had forgotten to bring my sheet that the doctor has to fill out/sign. We headed back to the house, grabbed the form, and I grabbed my leftover alcoholic beverages from the week before school started. Heh, my mom was amusing--she grabbed a bag (brown paper bag-like, ha) in which to put my Heineken keg cans, then she asks me, "do you want a bottle of wine?" why, sure I do. So, I've got 3 Heine's and a bottle of wine--better yet, a bottle of altar wine, woo! Ha, I don't know if that's wrong or what, but I've got a bottle of wine and I'm sure it will be consumed. So, we headed back to the doctor's office, only to find it was closed for an hour and a half lunch break. Motherfucker. So, we went back home and my mom grabbed her various drugs to get refilled. We dropped off moms narcotics to get refilled, then went to Subway for lunch. Hot gram does Subway own me. So, after stuffing myself (I ate 2 footlong subs), we went back and dropped off the damn form at the doctor's office. After all of that run-around, we hit 220 south down the other side of the river, then hit 15 near Shamokin Dam. This is how much my mom rocks: she took me to Totem to get my eyebrow repierced, then paid for it! My mom is so awesome. I know you're jealous. Better yet, she gave me money when I got back to school. Gotta love my mom. Last night was the oh-so-exciting Pat McGee Band/Michelle Branch concert. I dunno, the music was played well and it was good and all, but it just wasn't very exciting. The Pat McGee Band only sparked my interest when they started to jam in a couple of their songs, and when they played a Pink Floyd cover. Otherwise, ha, their music sounded like the soundtrack for a WB show like Dawson's Creek or something. Michelle Branch was good, and of course her band was full of some talented musicians, but, again, it just wasn't that exciting. I guess going to see concerts like DMB and SCI (and on another level DT and In Flames) has spoiled me, because those concerts were amazing. The crowd really makes a concert. I spent most of the time sitting down last night. I could have just as well been sitting there listening to their CDs. Oh well. The ticket was only $15 and I was like 10 yards away from Michelle Branch, so I'm not really complaining too much. 1 Comments. |
