But I had an awesome time at the Vagina Monologues. I learned that every time you buy plastic anything especially cell phones and game systems, you're promoting the rape of and violence to girls and women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I didn�t. I�m pissed.

According to the 2009 Vagina Monologues which I saw today rape is used in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to make the people more compliant and afraid of their government. Most the resources of the country are being sent over seas to make cell phones and play stations because you can get cheap plastic in that country.

I�m horrified but I can�t give up my phone as some people might be able to do. I need to call my assistants in the middle of the night. I need it so I don�t need to have someone with me every second of the day. I need it so if there�s an emergency people can find me.

Instead of giving up my phone I�ve opted to make a donation to the V Day project which is the organization that was begun when the Vagina Monologues were first performed. Every year they highlight some awful situations for women and girls. This year it was the Congo and cell phones. I don�t have a lot of money but I gave ten dollars. You can do that, too, by going to vday.org.

I've picked out all my questions that I want to answer tonight for Mylot (another site I write for). I'm about 2 cents away from my goal here. I'm watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. An old episode that I DVRed. It's a show about two Deaf parents, their blind/autistic son, and there hearing son. The hearing son wrote to the show because he needed to have them have help so he could go to college. He is only 14 and is planning ahead for them to having to manage with him when he goes to college, which they want him to do (as all parents do).

I am only 3 cents away from my goal here of making 2 dollars by the end of the week. Only tomorrow and a little bit of today to go, I hope I make it. In happy news I found a book that I lost somewhere in my house, I really want to read it and a library in Boston has it. So lucky me I will actually get to read the book now.I thought no one had that book but I found one library.Of course the reason my first two searches didn't work is because I spelled the title wrong Gee that's helpful isn't it ? . In other happy news, I did a lot of work today, writing three other blogs and answering some questions. Tomorrow I am going out to see the Vagina monologues. I'll take Amy , I hope she likes it. Shes a little young but it might be good for her.

Next weekend I have decided to spend all day at a dog show. Maybe it will give me some inspiration. May read my story and she liked it. I always value what she says. Its nice that a fellow writer works for me.

I'm going to enter the three day novel contest over Labor Day weekend. You write an entire novel in three days. I'm going to call my novel Detritus (that's a synonym for garbage). The reason I'm calling it that is because it's based on this new idea I have called language fiction. Language fiction is kind of based on language poetry which focuses on the sound of words and popular culture in order to create literary works that really make no sense. I know because I've written them.

The idea for Detritus the book is to have 100 topics because the average novel length for this contest is 100 pages according to the website. Every page will feature a separate topic, and I will just write down random things that that topic makes me think about until I fill a page. Some topics may take up more than one page but it's a one page minimum. The topic I'm most excited to write about is while I'm writing the novel the T.V. will be playing in the background and every time I hear an interesting phrase or think of an interesting thought based on what the T.V. says I will flick between the page I'm currently working on and the page which will i think be last in the book entitled 24 hour T.V. thoughts.

I'm looking forward to writing this book. I'm not sure people will like it but then I really don't care. Since I was exposed to language poetry, it's kind of been under my skin as I don't like it as a genre per se. I'm hoping this experience will exorcise the genre from my system.

I'm having an airhead day! I forgot my meds, I forgot the laundry, and forgot to write a speaking engagement in my planner... Think I'd forget my head if I weren't attached. At least I got a good amount of work done (for the first time this month). I posted on two sites I write for, emailed some people, and applied for a job as a writer's assistant (he lives in DC, but he's open to doing things by telecommuting, at least that's what he said in his ad on Craigslist.

I happy to almost be at the $2 here. One tenth of the way to cashing out! Not that I'll keep the money. It'll all go to debt repayment. I want to break the $2 barrier by end of the week. I'll post here tomorrow and Saturday. It shouldn't be that big a deal.

We had another blizzard. I missed Scrabble practice again as the transit was canceled. I am so out of practice for Scrabble. Amy, who's growing up right before my eyes, is back working for me. I'm impressed. I'm watching a lady with a dog like Richard, my cat. They are both lovable, but a bit slow on the uptake.

I just wanted you all to know I was still alive, as I haven't been here in a while.
