I went to a Jobs with Justice picket this morning, sans PCA (because she had a childcare issue) and I knew that someone would help me pee if need be. We picketed outside the Springfield Marriott because they hosted Union Busting lawyers Jackson Lewis. It was a 90 minute picket and it was cold. I'm watching the news at noon to see if we made the news.

Later, I'm going to a meeting of the Florence Poets. When Jen, current PCA, gets back from break I'll have her type up a proposal to our local community, activist newspaper. I'm going to try to limit myself to one tree of paper for the whole year. I thought the might interested in weekly updates of that process.

I'm sick to my stomach and missing a reading with Leslea Newman that I really wanted to go to, but you can't always have what you want and I've been tired for the past couple of days. I'm sure I'll see Leslea another time. Although, it does seem every time she gives a reading in the area I'm sick or otherwise occupied. However, I decided it was more important to go to the Jobs with Justice thing and the Florence poets than to push myself and go to this reading. Had it been next week, when Allison Betchdel was going to be there I would have pushed myself a little harder because I adore that woman. It's weird when you get to interact with people who you think "when I finally grow up, I want to be just like you".

In good news, which thankfully there was some today, my new chair can get repaired because apparently my insurance company discovered some flaw in a batch of chairs that were sent to Western Mass. One of which, scarily belonged to a kid, according to my repairman. They say it should take two weeks. I'm banking on four because I know these people. It should be back by Christmas at least and I can continue writing the book which I had to abandon while it was being fixed.

I really hope I feel better tomorrow. My assistant thinks I got food poisoning. I'm not sure though because wouldn't I have gotten sick last night? I guess I'll never be able to tell.

I have been a member of today.com since mid-October. They pay you $1 per post that they accept, (100 words plus). When you $50 they pay you via paypal. My total as of today is $29.55; I'm on track to make December payout, hich is on the 10th. I went to a "No on 1" celebration. Question one was a ballot question that would've eliminated the Massachusetts state income tax, which would've been bad for schools, disabled people, hospitals, and what not. I thought lots of my friends would be at the party and opted to forgo a writing group to attend it. But no I knew really well was there. So, being me, I simply inserted myself with new people. I met a friend named Kitty who knows a fellow Florence poet. I'm going to a food bank fundraiser on the 15th. They'll be music. I found out about it the "No on 1" party. Demi will be a good party going person!

I wrote today. I wrote a 100 words blog and a proposal. I paid the copy guy. Yeah, no bounced checks for me! I'm watching Ruby, a new show on the Style Network. I fought with my fiscal intermediary today, because they said I was over using hours which I'm not!

I'm going to a "No On One" party tomorrow, to celebrate the failure of that ballot measure. On Wednesday, I'm going out with Laura to celebrate her birthday and then I'm going to a reading with Leslea Newman (favorite poet). On Thursday, I'm going to picket some union busters. On Friday, I'm going to be in the write-a thon to benefit Children in Need (a UK charity), which I still need sponsors for. Help welcomed!
