For all the cows..
Beginner's Guide (PDF file)
Today...
Sunday. 11.9.08 3:32 pm
I'm exhausted today. I posted a journal on Disaboom. I wrote a sentence or two in my Nano story. I slept until about 1 PM. I'm already off track to keep track on the amount of hours I write. I'll track next week, as I'm really curious. Although figuring out my hourly rate will be depressing, I'm sure!

Today is a Work day, not a Weekend Day for Me
Saturday. 11.8.08 4:16 pm
I worked at a show today, from about 8:15 to 3. I made about $20; plus table fee. Now I'm home and blogging. I think today I might work 8 or 9 hours. Lately, I've been must in at least 2 if not 4 hours a day at this writing thing. Kierstal emailed me back; the website will be up by Sunday. Next week, I want to keep track of how many hours I work, because I'm pretty sure it's at least 40. Since I work 7 days a week; that equals 5 hours plus a day, so maybe I'm not working that must, Perhaps, I work at least 30 hours a week. Next week, I suppose will tell the tale.

Just some random thoughts...
Friday. 11.7.08 2:16 pm
I've never written a check I new was going to bounce, but hopefully the copy guy won't cash it until Monday when I'll be able to put money in the bank. On a new subject, I've decided that I'm not a big fan of sleep for long periods. I'm more of a nap girl. I really need to get in touch with my webmistress, I've paid for the website, but have not heard from her.

May is coming this evening. I'm going to have her read my Nanowrimo novel beginning. No new words in that yet today. Words in everything else, however. This was a very good writing day, so far.

As my food stamps came, I plan to send my PCA shopping to fill my bare cupboards. I already made a shopping list. Tomorrow, I'm working a show and going to use $20 of food stamps to help out people at a boy scout food drive. It'll make me less likely to buy treats or junk, as I decided to donate that money to buying neighbors in need REAL FOOD. It's good for my soul and my waistline. Can't beat that!

Do Nothing Day
Thursday. 11.6.08 4:32 pm
I do much today, just ran to the copy guy and slept a lot. Now I'm watching TV and waiting to go to writing group. I'm supposed to bring something to share. It'll probably be some fiction as opposed to my typical poetry. I am just waiting for the van service.

Post Election
Wednesday. 11.5.08 7:56 pm
Happy post election! That's my beginning line for every blog entry today. I can't believe how relieved I am. I really thought (I must admit, and I don't like to) that McCain was going to win because he was white (not because he was the best person for the job which is why you should elect anyone president). Look at how many people Obama got to vote. Look at how close places like Mississippi (which has been Republican forever) and Georgia and even McCain's home state of Arizona were. This has never happened that I can recall in my lifetime. My mom says it hadn't happened in hers either. Even my stepdad voted for the first time, and he's 52.

When I have kids I know they're going to ask me where I was when this happened as they're learning about it in their history books. I'll tell them I was at the Paradisw City Cafe in Northampton. That I stood in line for half an hour until it was my turn to go in. That I cheered at the T.V. like everyone else. That this election wasn't stolen. That America decided we were ready for someone like Obama. That on November 4, 2008 we evolved.

Of course, the work isn't over now. Those of us who strive to make the world a better place for all humans and other species must continue doing our vital work regardless of who's in the White House. Although, I admit I think it will be easier now that we've elected someone who knows what organizing is and can do it well. But mind you, if he starts to screw up we his fellow organizers will be there to call him on it I'm sure.
