I am reading this right now http://www.nutang.com/numazon/0765340771/The+Butlerian+Jihad+%28Legends+of+Dune%2C+Book+1%29/ I would have provided you an image if I could but The thingy is broken (as usual) I am actually not enjoying this book. It's very predictable and I can't relate to charecters this stupid. I enjoyed the Origianl dune and Dune Messiaha, but the charecters in Jihad are very shallow, uncomplicated and predictable, Unlike the dynamic and stirring charecters in Herbert Seniors work. Jihad also lacks the subtley, intracasy and detailed ambiance of the Seniors work. What I am enjoying is reading about the "thinking machines" empire. Machines can be creative btw. I like strategey games especially ones where I can drop my troops to any position on the globe from orbit. And especially when I'm the only one with the technology to do it. And of courses, I Usually keep a strangle hold on this technology because I'm bombarding the hell out of everyone else. Thats right folks, I'm a fan of planatery conquest and invasion. I like working my way down penisulas, and literally driving my enemys into the sea with firepower at least two hundred years ahead of anyone elses. Infact they have signed their advertiseing over to a company that uses trojoan like programs to bypass spam and popup blockers. I have a low tolerance for such madness. I already avoid weather bug, AOLs weather forcasting program that comes packaged with some harmless adware like it's a bad case of herpes. So, why Oh why? would I even touch Myspace. because I'm being asked to. Everyone I have talked to in person, or through AIM, facebook, ect has asked me the following: Do you have a myspace? I smile, and I promise I will get one soon... but why would I want to sign my computer up to be violated by commerical Adaware? would you? Comment! (2) | Recommend! Thursday. 6.22.06 6:43 pm apparently I was recorded at work as having said the words that will end the world. Not one of them was a swear word, but the uber bit cheese manager who watches the survalince tape and records everything we say and do left me a note and she said some interesting things when she handed it to me, the following day. I thouhgt I had some kind of modicum of privacy. There was no one in the store except for me and my coworker, and he was the one that sweared. Comment! (0) | Recommend! I got some inspiration twoards the Shadow Child Project when I thought about simply turning it into a D&D campaign... but then I told Amy Of all my book projects Shadow Child is her favorite, so she said, "Oh thats an interesting way to take it." Which really meant, "oh, If you do that I will come through this phone, kill you , and raise the mortal world in a baptism of endless flame." and she would do that, too. Because Amy is a big beliver in WWCD. What would Cathulu do. She really admires that guy. If she could she would get a jesus fish magnet with tentalces on it's face and the world jesus replaced with our favorite old one's name. But she did say she would kill me if I stopped working on it. Sunday. 6.18.06 2:05 am a coustemer came in and asked me about the World Cup, that huge soccer game going on in Europe right now. I asked him who he was rooting for and he said, "I aint going to lie, I want the black people to win." Is that racism? We assume a racist stament is an ignorant one, right? so what seperates racism from racial pride, and is there even a differnce. Which team are they on? I saw a fantasic Korean Horror movie, which was, in my oppinon, much better than "the ring" or RING 2 though those two movies certainly bring their contribution to the horror movie genre. What i saw was called the wishing stairs. dose it mean i am of the world if I watch foreign movies, and speak foreign languages? If I could get a certificate saying that I would hold it out whenever a cousterm said something like "I aint going to lie I want the (insert race) people to win" Then I would say, "Sir, I am of the world, and you are an ignorant racist, but you go ahead and keep hoping that." I did the poor mans copy right thing with my poems, and hopefully I can start sending them out to various periodicals and starting making some money off of them. That of course means that I can start sharing some of them here. I know it seems amatureish but I'm kind of protective of my intelectual property.
