I Found It!
Sunday. 5.30.04 1:48 pm
I found it! The Da Vinci Code book that is. Turns out my brother put it in his backpack because he had taken it to school. That's why it disappeared off his floor. I knew I wasn't imagining things. Granted I would have found it much sooner had a just asked him three days ago. "Hello brother, by chance have you seen the Da Vinci Code book anywhere?" And he would respond, "Why yes Christopher, I have it right here. I hope you enjoy such a great piece of modern fiction." Well... maybe the conversation wouldn't have gone *exactly* like that, but I would have had the book sooner no doubt. But I like to think that searching for it for three days will make the book that much more intriguing now that I've got it. I must find interesting ways to occupy my time, bordem can creep up you while you're just sitting at home so you must scare it away. Odd little things like that, or trying to see how long you can stay alive in GTA: Vice City with a 6 star wanted level while riding a motorcycle. That is entertaining. ``

And sadly, spyware has invaded my computer. I nary know from whence this foul demon cometh. But it has made surfing the web, well.. a chore. Popups are getting more numerous and now I can't get to Nutang.com!! It redirects me to some other weird site selling me free magazine subscriptions (tell me how that works, how can I *buy* a *free* magazine subscription? the premise alone makes so sense ``). Anyway, I must now type this and all subsequent blog entries on another computer. That is until I wipe my computer clean of these offending spyware app's. Grrr. But oh well. Things are going good. =)

Ideas to Try
Saturday. 5.29.04 12:13 am
Hm, I did a few actual things today. Most involved work. Ugh. But it wasn't that bad. Helped outside doing yard and gardening work. Clipping hedges, raking, bagging leaves, etc. After that nothing much until Twyla came over. I guess those are the most of the main points of my day.*grin*

Well in lu of Scott's list of things to do while bored, I shall list my own list of bordem quenching ideas:

  • Go in an elevator and stand next to someone. Look them over carefully from head to toe, then slowly back away screaming "You're one of them!"
  • Put Jack Horner in a dome shaped room and watch him go mad.
  • Visit a nursing home dressed as the grim reaper.
  • Acquire a microphone to the church's PA system and scare the **** out of the pastor.
  • Get a group of people with balloons and a huge check and visit some random house. When the person answers, realizes what going on, and starts screaming, ask if this is the home of Frank Myers. When the person says no, turn around and walk away.
  • Go to walmart and get a sticker from the old lady. Immediately leave and come back in getting another sticker, repeat until she notices and then deny the whole thing.
  • Rig your watch to beep on the hour. When it does no matter where you are or what you're doing drop to the floor with your hands on your head screaming "It's happening!".
  • Go to a swimming pool and open a bottle a bottle of yellow food coloring under the water. Blame it on the kid next to you.
  • Wear a suit and an earpiece and go into a store. When in crowded areas occasionaly hold your hand to the earpiece and demand absolute silence.
*just smiles*
*happy*
Try some out, let me know how they go. `` Well that's it for now.

Another Day
Friday. 5.28.04 12:56 am
I think I've used that title before ... (Heather is right ``) Anyway. Today was movie day, or at least it seemed that way. Watched "Road to Perdition" and "Finding Forrester", both good movies. Also I watched "The Private Eyes" part way through with the director's commentary on. I'll probably watch the rest of it tomorrow. Now I know I've been watching a lot of movies lately, I know. But I like to watch them and I have fun watching them.. so there! ``

I was going to start reading The Da Vinci Code today, but I couldn't find it. Ahhh! I knew I saw it laying arounf here somewhere. I thought it was in the living room, but it wasn't. Then I searched the house looking on all tables and bookshelves and I couldn't find it. It was here two days ago.. I know it. My memory isn't that bad. I will find it.
Surprise me! ``
Scott and I made a list of fun things to do when bored. They are pretty amusing if I do say so myself. Though I don't want to post them if he is. I wouldn't want to steal prime blogging material.

Ok, me and Tyler (Captain'D Tyler) were talking last night about our math courses we took. Funny.

Me: i remember one problem, the answer was y = e^(x) / s^(-1)
Tyler: is that a variable e, or the number e?
Me: the number e
Me: i rewrote it     s * e^x = y
Tyler: heh heh heh
Me: the grader put a little smiley next to it, it was funny, lol
Tyler: ....right, and the person that graded it was your 56-year-old (male) professor who now winks at you whenever you turn a test in
Tyler: good job
Me: HAHAHAHHA
Tyler: scary, in a Minson-esque way
YoMan585: LOLOL

Movies and Books
Thursday. 5.27.04 11:29 am
Yesterday was a good day, got a lot of things done/accomplished. Computer stuff in Excel, Access, and a web site. That was my accomplishing bit. I watched a few movies yesterday. "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Great Escape", and "The Private Eyes". All of them good movies. I had never seen The Shawshank Redemption before and I was really impressed. Excellent movie if you haven't already seen it. Also see "Road to Perdition" really really good as well. What are your favorite movies?
You still have to watch Clue with me sometime. ``
Oh, and I also read a book yesterday. Whoa.. I know. I think this is the first "for pleasure" book I've read since the fifth Harry Potter book came out. It's called "Tuesday's with Morrie." Its a very good book, small, only took a few hours to read, but it has a good story and good overall advice on life in general. Next I think I will read "The Da Vinci Code." My dad and brother read it and they said it was interesting so.. why not. I'll give it a spin.

I need to get an account on noono.net so I can post pictures. *puts on my to-do list*

Newness
Wednesday. 5.26.04 12:06 am
So.. what do you think? Its a new look, but I like it. I've got a few designs I'm playing around with. This was one of them that I really like. I'll try it up here for a little while and then I'll see how it goes.

I did end up going to the movies this afternoon to get my mind off a few things. I saw Van Helsing. That was a fairly good movie. Now I'm not saying it will win any oscars or acadmeny awards, but it was fun and exciting to watch. Which is what a movie should be if you ask me. This weekend I'm thinking about either Troy or Shrek 2, heard good things about both, though granted they are entirely different movie genres. Then again I might not even go to the movies, who knows. `` We'll figure it out. Where would you like to go this weekend? Wherever is good with me. Just doing things together =)
After I type this I'm going to watch my tape of the final episode of 24. Which, by the way, is only the best drama/suspense television show in the world! That should be fun, how will it end...

ARGS Again
Tuesday. 5.25.04 10:09 am
Hey, guess what? Another entry from ARGS! That's right, I'm sitting here on an official ARGS computer, typing with an official ARGS keyboard, hearing the telltale signs of ARGS out the door including, but not limited to: singing, skipping, Mr. Carver, randomness, and Jermaine. For some reason I kept seeing him around ... odd. Anyway, I came here this morning to meet with Ms. McGonagill, this lady that I've been working with at the VDOE doing Excel stuff. So I met with her this morning and then roamed into Richardson's lair. Where I'm typing this now. `` Saw Heather when I first came in and she showed me the video editting she's doing. Cool stuff.

I saw JL today too, well ... not really saw but heard. And after like 5 mintues I wanted to kill him. He turns on a freakin vacuum cleaner in the middle of people working and then proceedes to explain to someone how there do exist ants in the world that can eat humans. Ahhh! ``I was a little upset last night, but your email was sweet. It just made me feel like you thought I was lying or decieving you when you said you wished you could believe me. I'm not. That's what hurt.
I think I may go see a movie this afternoon. Probably Van Helsing. I'll let you know what I see ... if I see something.
