On the move.
I’m a very focused sort of person. If I feel something needs to get done I hammer at it until it’s done and won’t let go. It can actually be a problem depending on what it is. Right now my focus is on moving, getting everything settled and worked out in a timely manner where I can be at ease when it is time to move.
My boyfriend and I will not be getting the place I’d rather live in, but the place we’ve decided on gives us a lot more space for less money. The bedrooms aren’t as small as I thought they would be (12x12 and 12x15 which from what I hear are good sizes), but they are still about half the size of our current rooms. Needless to say it will take some adjustment, but I’m sure we will do fine. After all most of the space in the rooms is taken up with clothes, blankets and extra pillows. With this new apartment there is actually a linen closet for such things. The layout isn’t as streamline and nice, but it will work just fine. We haven’t actually seen inside the apartment, but unless it’s a hole in the wall pos it will do just fine until we can buy a house.
Since we’ve found the apartment, my new goal is finding the washer and dryer for our apartment. I hope our tax returns come soon so we won’t have to put them on a credit card. Not only does it have to fit inside the space, but it needs to have good consumer ratings, energy efficient and as quiet as what we’re willing to spend can buy.
I should be receiving boxes soon to start packing from the moving company, but since I found out I don’t have to unpack our dressers it will be just great! That means if I wash all of our clothes before we move and put them away I won’t need to box up that much stuff! HURRAY! XD One other thing I’ll need to do is record how the apartment looks like before we move in. When we do move out I don’t plan on getting worked over on our deposit because they say we did something. Considering we only have furniture and no pictures and such I can’t imagine the apartment getting damaged.
The last thing I’ll need to take care of is weighing the pros and cons of renters insurance. I didn’t even know about it until I saw a link about it on rent.com. <_< I mean do renters really need insurance? I’m afraid to even think of the cost considering how much our car insurance is.
