I feel inspired to write about this today. Many people don't realize that the homeless, is not just the average panhandler on the train or at the library begging for change. I see them everyday here in Atlanta, but the City of Atlanta has no love for the homeless. The homeless, to them, are the crack addicts who attack the tourists, who dirty the streets with their stench, who have shooting sprees at night by the main shelter: and YOU can't tell me they don't because I live by the shelter. America sees the homeless as a disease when in reality IT COULD BE YOU. Many Americans are ONE PAYCHECK AWAY FROM BEING HOMELESS. I was homeless when I was nine years old but I AM NO DISEASE. We need to change the way America sees the homeless.

....working! As I look back on this past year, I thank God for all the good things that have come to pass in my entire life. In 1991, the day before my 10th birthday, we were living in a condemned trailer with nothing but water in White, GA. Our family wanted nothing to do with us--those who knew of our existance--so my last day of school was my tenth birthday. That day, we left. Mom had her welfare check and bought me a Monopoly game and we drove. We ran out of gas in Texas where a church gave us money to get to Shreveport, LA, where we stayed in a homeless shelter. That shelter, The Providence House, and the kind people--the kind STRANGERS who had their own families but cared about us, inspired me all of my life.

As I look back on that today, I realize that my whole life has been that of survival, and of hope. It's not about making it to the next day, but it's about being inspired to go on, being filled with hope that not only you WILL make it, but YOU may be able to help others make it as well. Art4theHomeless is my dream, and it will be my light, it will be the inspiration of others to survive--to know that they are not alone as they go through their trials. Not only is God with them, but there are people like myself who have been where they are and are devoting their lives to make a difference.

All I wanted this year for my birthday is this one thing: To incorporate Art4TH in the STATE of GA which is the first step in becoming a nonproft organization. It's done--that step. So this year, I will be working the morning shift, and tomorrow night, who knows :)

This is what I am having for dinner tonight yummm



Get some portobella mushrooms and some baby bella mushrooms

You will also need red pepper, green onions, olive oil, Kroger brand Sandwich Oil mix with Oregano, ground pepper, ground Italian herbs, one tomato.
You will also need (depending on how many you are trying to serve) a chicken breast. I only fixed this for two and I never measure.


Okay. Chop all the veggies and chicken up and throw it in the frying pan. Saute for a few minutes.



Cook some angel hair pasta. When that's done, be sure to strain and rinse with COLD WATER



Back to the sauteed veggies and chicken


Get a small bowl and a couple teaspoons of flour. mix with a little warm water and stir really fast. Put in with the vettgies. Now get the mixed cheese packs: I used the Kroger brand 6 cheese--mozzerella, parmesan, romano, asaigo, provelone and fontina. Also use some chedder cheese and mix a little milk. Stir.

Hey everyone! I know you are wondering about the incentives to be sent out. Some of then will be sent out Thursday, not all because i have to wait for more money to come in to send them off. This week I will be filing the Articles of Incorp for Art4TH and GA State Law requires that I file with the Fulton CTY Daily Report also which is an extra $40. I will send that off today, file the articles on Friday to give them a head start on the article.
