Friday. 10.29.04 11:57 am
this is dedicated to all the beautiful women out there

Men are like ........Laxatives . They irritate the sh ! t out of you.

Men are like ........ Bananas . The older they get, the less firm they are.

Men are like ........ Vacations . They never seem to be long enough.

Men are like ........ Weather . Nothing can be done to change them

Men are like ........ Blenders . You need One, but you're not quite sure
why.

Men are like ........ Chocolate Bars ...... Sweet, smooth, & they usually
head right for your hips.

Men are like ....... Commercials . You can't believe a word they say.

Men are like ........ Department Stores .... Their clothes are always 1/2
off.

Men are like ........ Government Bonds ...... They take soooooooo long to
mature.

Men are like ........ Mascara . They usually run at the first sign of
emotion.

Men are like ........ Popcorn . They satisfy you, but only for a little
while.

Men are like . Snowstorms ...... You never know when they're coming, how
many inches you'll get or how long it will last.

Men are like ........ Lava Lamps .... Fun to look at, but not very bright.

Men are like ........ Parking Spots ........ All the good ones are taken,
the rest are handicapped.

i got news last night that my good friend has given birth to a baby girl! yipeee! i am so glad for her. 3 cheers to the arrival of baby natalie!

& i finally watched white chicks last evening! it was hilarious! the movie seems to be making fun of the hilton sisters. *grin* dumb blondes.

ok, about my previous post, relax people! i was just whining away like a bitch, i was having a B.F! *lol* I seriously don't hate SG, i have no intentions to harm anyone staying in SG or whatsoever. I just feel trapped by all the rules and regulations that i have to abide.

like pam said, SG is improving, yes indeed. and i hope it improves more. we may be small, but we aint that bad! i still looooooooove u, SG!

more and more xmas decos are up!! yipppppy hippppy horaaaay! i love xmas! as if you dont know by now...hehe. xmas makes me feel happy. all evil thoughts and bad feelings are disintergrated during xmas time.

arrugh!

can someone please tell me how can i migrate to another place? this place is simply driving me cookoo!

1) the standard of living is high.

2) apartments are expensive. with the amount of money you pay for a 3 room HDB, you can build your own house in another country.

3) bus fares and taxi fares keep increasing. & taxi drives take their own "tips" when they tell you they have not enough loose change to give you back.

4) education is expensive. yes, i blame you indeed. i couldn't afford to go to a proper design school, just because it was farking expensive.

5) you get fined for forgetting to do things, forgetting to dump the tissue in the bin, IRAS, CPF, everything! its a fine city, indeed.

6) uptight people everywhere, and absolutely unfriendly and the most unhelpful species.

7) we are so spoon-fed, we become like idiots when we go overseas. when we see stairs instead of escalators, we go.. "huh... no escalators?"

8) everything speaks money, no money, no talk. no wonder the local movie "money no enough" became a block buster.

9) a certain amount of people are paid peanuts for their jobs. lets say you earn $1.5K a month on the average, after deduction of CPF will leave you.. say.. maybe $1.2K. then you pay your utilities bills, scv, mobile & house phone bill, housing loan...wait, thats not it. they give their retired parents a small amount, maybe a small sum into a fixed deposit, buy groceries for the house... whats left? $500- $600? How will they ever feed a kid? milk powder, diapers, toys, doctor fees? that is so out of the question. talk about increasing productivity. probably we can feed our babies barley water, like in olden days.

10) the irony part is that, the rich.. they just have to sit and wait, make a few phone calls, sign a few names and they have money falling on their laps every month.

all of the above + those that i have mentioned before, like lack of movies, highly censored movies, lack of night life.. etc.

it just makes me feel so trapped. I feel like a parrot in a cage. feed me, clean my poo, no space to spread my wings, and obeying my master's commands by doing and saying what he wants me to do. i will probably be canned for pooing out of my cage. who is my master? go figure..

take me there..

i am back from the yummy wedding dinner. gained a few pounds now. :-\

i made some new friends. roger's collegues to be exact. they seemed like pretty nice people. my eyes brighten and go twinkle when i hear the word Hong Kong. It seems like most of them have been there before and were asking us about our trip. I could yak about hong kong all day, all night, all year.

i have been jet lagged for too long. i must wake up! but i simply hate being stuck here. i am living in my own little world, in hong kong. :) if its a dream, let me not wake from it.

it seems like i have no one reading my blog. *grin* but it doesn't matter, i shall make it a memoir of my own, reminding myself of me.

i was talking to someone today and we both agreed that our gal friends have disappeared after getting attached. no more calls, no more chatting online, no more smses, basically.... nothing.

does being in a relationship mean that you should forget about your gal friends?

do we actually mean something to you? or do you treat us as tampons, "use only in emergencies", or "only when needed". Its really disheartening to know that you have actually forgotton about us. but.. i guess this is life in SG, probably the next phone call i will get from my gal friend will be an invitation to her wedding.

so much for friendship... bullocks.

zouk
Saturday. 10.23.04 01:38 pm
zouk was alright yesterday, freeflow of martell with mixers, but of cos, i didnt have any of those. martell with green tea, martell with ginger ale? must be one of the most horrible combos one can ever think of.

they had the launch of a zouk radio show. on WKRZ 91.3 every friday from 9-11pm. there were only 2 bands performing yesterday, nothing much besides that. people were flocking to get the free drinks instead.

then we went to velvet. tai tais, fugly dressed men, and uncles. what has velvet become? what i found amusing was the uncles' dancing and the uncles trying to carry their fat chicks up the platform. OMG, when you reach 40, you better ban yourself from velvet. its such a big joke.

then came the best part of the night, supper!! we had teochew porridge at havelock road. bitching, eating, laughing, it was sure better than the dancing at velvet.

i am going for a wedding dinner tonight! seeya peeps when i get back!

its friday again!
Friday. 10.22.04 4:43 pm
its friday, the weather is dull and i am still missing hong kong. damnit, i wanna go back again! I have made a desktop wallpaper for you. If you are as crazy as me about hong kong, you might just love it. look for it in my modules.

sigh....

enough of dull and lifeless sg. i am going to zouk tonight!! yes! its been such a long time i have been out on friday nights. tho i am not looking forward to it but it would be better than being imprisoned at home with nothing on tv to watch.

I h a t e i t! !

the more i look at orchard rd, the more i feel sg is so lifeless.. we have no billboards, boring crowd, no handsome guys and not even a pretty chick on the streets. everything is so protected and so confined. no mess, no noise.. its like a dead town. we can never strive to be the next HK or NYC. there is no way we will ever become like them, ever..

b o r e d o m

enough of whining.

just now when i went downstairs to buy bread. i nearly wanted to puke all my intestines out before i could eat my bread.

Auntie A : (talking to one woman and a man) my face used to be very horrible! i had alot of spots, until this man here recommended me this soap!

Man : yeah really! the soap very good

Me : looks at auntie (-__-)'' *(turns and looks for a bucket to vomit)

Auntie A: yes, what do u want?

Me : i want to buy...

Auntie A: (*interupts) yes, really very good! you see my face now so smooth!!

Me : puke (-__-)'''
