I got the internship. (^-^)v

It says in the email that
they were able to contact 2 of my references
and attached was
a formal offer of the internship.

That should mean I'm accepted, no?

Now the question of whether I should take it...
They ask for a call tomorrow.
I'm leaning towards a yes.

i'd say take it. it's a step in the direction you want to head, so why not do it?
