Good News:
The swelling has gone down a bit. That's good, right?
It was getting worse...I was scared I'd wake up with an eye swollen shut.

I woke up at least five times last night for some mystical reason that I have no psychic talent to discern. And I am ashamed to say--yes, I admit it--I woke whenever I did something I shouldn't have. Rubbing my eye. Specifically the bulging lump called my right eyelid. Echk.

But it is now better! All...^{1, 2, 3, 4...} five bites have reduced in size and redness! Though they are still hard lumps of flesh on my neck, chin/cheek, eye, finger, and elbow. Nonetheless, LET'S PARTY!

HUMAN CHAIN! Ba-bump ba bum ba bum Ba! Doo-doo do da da da Dah!

SOUL TRAIN! Uh-huh uh-huh, yeah yeah! Robot! Sssssnake!

Alright, enough of that.

Bad News: Well, it depends on who you are...

It has come to my attention that there are some pretty close-minded people in the world. Now this is just a warning: if any of these such aforementioned people step onto the Dot's turf, well, GOOD LUCK. Not from me because I'm your executioner. Go to all the churches, temples, synagogues along the way because Satan as my witness, you'll need it.

I live in NYC so I know a little something about different people and their povs on life and so on. I've met people from all different cultures. This is America=the Melting Pot after all.

I grew up as a Chinese American and I'm proud of my heritage/ethnicity. I love both sides of me: as the teenager in modern North America and loyal to the Chinese traditions, etc.

If anyone starts badmouthing Chinese people or Asians in general, heck, any race/ethnicity/sexuality, whatever...it just rubs me the wrong way. Big time. I get really annoyed and...stay away, ya'll--stay away.

right on...well said about your ethnicity :) It shouldn't make a difference what you are...because you're just Silver-Dot to me :)

woo! XD swelling has gone down! go you! XD have you put any cream on it? =3 there was this really effective one that we used in China--I forgot what it was called though... =3 but it was green XD

i totally agree with you on the ethnicity thing. I get really cheesed off if people try to badmouth Chinese people. Im sorry, but *what right* do they have to do that? 1) we're probably 10x smarter than them (at least--i mean, *we* have better things to do, i wont go into the academic side of it) and 2) they're badmouthing people, and we're being nice--what makes them better than us?? =3

I live in Texas, and its also a place of great diversity, 'cept its down in the south. Down in the south race matters alot. I used to believe it only mattered to the older generation, as I got older and moved around some, I began to think the contrary. Race divides people. Our Negro, Caucasian, and Asian decent can bar us from getting a job or help us stand out, and I guess we gotta' take the good with the bad in this world. Hopefully, it'll be the next generation who views the world like Stephen Colber: colorblind, 'cause Lord knows it ain't this one.

Just to let you know, that last remark by Kuri was pretty offensive in itself. Something about "race superiority" bothers me. Just because someone is of some different ethnicity, it makes them no more or less intelligent than somebody from another race. That's generalization and, frankly, another form of racism.

But I'm glad you're swelling has gone down.

been a long time since i came to nutang..so been a while since i read ur entry..what ahppened to ur eye!? anyweiz in the phils., when ur eye gets swollen like that, it means u "peeped" on someone ur not supposed to "peep" at. lol Sorry..hope u are ok with everything now. *wink*
