Legend has it...
Wednesday. 9.27.06
Have any of you heard of the legendary Spinix?

As tall as an elephant, with the popsicle legs of a daddy-long-legs, and has blue-black feathers rippling from the neck down. Its beady eyes are the topaz of a Greed Jar stuck on top of the thin and sharp beak of Big Bird.

Ring any bells? *waits for a sec* No? Well, aren't you ill-informed...

There was this particular Spinix who absolutely LOVED to weave. It was to be expected since it was his species' job to turn shiny precious metals into the money-making tourist keychains. Sadly, he had no talent for it. All he produced were weak rusty chains that would shatter at the sight of a key. Yet he knew nothing about it. His family felt it would harm his innocent nature to tell him the truth. Thus, he grew up with praises and candy and favoritism (over his little spinix Kim).

Soon, he had to start school. The secret quickly became common knowledge on the playground. Obviously, he was teased about it and the shoving began. However, he was so sure of his genius that he threw it up and back at his tormenters. What happened next was to be expected.

"You all know nothing!" He pushes one away. "Bow down! Mine are works of art. Everyone says so!" He kicks another and pulls some heads up by the hair. "You're all dumb!" They fall into a rough tumble, but he comes out the winner. How? He had stubborn faith in his popularity. Indeed, all his girlfriends ran over and fought for him until blood flowed. He stood and glared down at the now unconcious spinixes. A malicious grin slowly spread across his face.

"Hahaha! You've been sank! Let it be a lesson, no one crosses me without getting sank!"

Moral: Vain, selfish, cowardly people never learn the lessons in picture books.
