This year open house was tight!!! I actually had time to go to Towers to see the guys dorms. Unlike the girls, they don't need to decorate. They have TVs, playstation 2, DVDs....I really wonder how they can study. Or if they even study! It's obvious with the girls dorms. All we have are computers, printers, refridgerators, and that's it. Besides, we don't want to have to haul a lot of stuff at the end of the year.

The best part about open house was going to Rama's room and Derek's room. Derek introduced me to a bunch of his friends. The friendliest was Mike. He forgot my name and Mayann's so he gave us rice krispies treats.

After Towers Karla joined us to look at our old dorm rooms from Freshman & Sophomore year. The furniture and carpeting is different, but the memories are still there.

Tonight was fun. I wish I could've taken pictures, but I didn't want to get in trouble with the deans.

Question (for girls): If your friend broke up with her boyfriend and the dude started liking you, would you go for him? And would you go for him, when your friend isn't cool with it?

I wish I didn't tell my cousin my opinion, even though it's her decision. But what could I do? She asked what I thought!

Anyway, I seriously want to watch "Girl with a pearl earring". It's about the girl in a painting by Johannes Vermeer and how she became a model for it. She was sold as a slave by her mother because her father, a tile painter, got injured at work and lost both his eyes when a kiln exploded. Well, that's the gist of the first chapter. Maybe I should get the book before seeing the movie to see how close it matches up.

I have 3 hours to kill before my drawing class. Might as well clean up my dorm room.

I've been gone the whole day, trying to support a family that lost a loved one. I got flashbacks of when my grandmother passed away last year and I felt that pain come back. It's really not an easy time to be strong.

Tonight I'll be working on two essays that I didn't feel like doing during the week. I could've forced myself to do it, but some issue came along and bothered me. I guess I just need some space from it.

I'll be ok this coming week. I'll be so busy preparing for midterms, I won't have time to give in to nagging, inconsiderate people.

I think I know what my problem is. I always give a crap to what people say to me. I really hate that. And I hate it when people boss me around! What do I do that make people treat me like a doormat? The easiest solution that everyone can come up with is, "Just don't." Screw getting help from people. They don't know the answer themselves.

It's a long week, but a good one!

Monday: My friend gave me a magazine with Orlando Bloom on the front and some wishing stones. I'm not a superstitous person, but the stones are fun to play with. Then at night, I found an excellent book that would help me with my project for Advanced Visual Communication. 1 source, 3 more to go.

Tuesday: I had the whole day to myself, so I sat around finishing homework. Then I logged in to my school's website to check my class standing. FINALLY!!!! I'M A SENIOR!!! A SENIOR...that won't be graduating until 2005. Oh well, I'm almost there. At night I went to my Figure Drawing class. My teacher hired a 58 year old man to model for us while we drew him. THANK GOD he wore underwear to cover his....family jewels. Judging having to draw raw bodies or write essays full of philosophical crap, I'd choose the essays over this. The three hours took forever to pass by, but I survived.

TODAY: I got my paper back from my Religion and Society class. I had a sinking feeling my teacher gave me a big shiny "D" on my essay but I was wrong. I got a "B+". Yeah, I walked out surprised.

I hope the rest of my quarter goes this smoothly.
