People really do always seem to focus on the wrong things. I just got done reading an entry by one of my favorite authors on his blog where he went on and on about airport security, and how the country used to be different in his day, and you never had to show your id anywhere. What's more disturbing is that the two posts he talked about this, received over 300 comments each, mostly people agreeing with him. Some of these morons actually started comparing the new security situation in the US to germany.

I only have one thing to say to those people.

YOU FUCKTARDS!!!

Dear God, heaven forbid we have to show our id to use our credit card or take money out of our bank account. (When identity theft is at an all time high.) And seriously, comparing the US to germany just because you have to show your id? Do we have to worry about getting hauled off to a death camp? Do we have to worry about being bombed, or being arrested for fake charges? Are people's civil liberties being taken away? Oh, I'm sorry, unless you consider it a civil liberty to take a bottle of water on a plane. Then yes, I suppose this horrible crime against humanity deserves all the rancor you can muster.

Take a look at the big picture, people! Look how fat and rich and stupid america is, and you're all complaining about security and gas prices? How about the welfare situation? How about unemployment? How about the other countries who have to put up with ten times worse shit than we have to deal with? And you all can't stop crying because they took away your iPod at the airport?

So what if it represents an increase in security? Would you rather have no security? Would you rather let anyone onto a plane without even bothering to frisk them? Yes, I understand that it's gotten out of hand, but that doesn't mean that we need to be up in arms about it. There are far more serious things to be focusing on. There are far more important things that we need to be pissed off about.

All I see when I hear people talking these days are a bunch of whining babies crying about their perks being taken away. When they can still go about their day and do anything they want to. They can still stroll into a Mcdonalds and order a big mac to cram it down their throat. They can still rent movies and go to the theatre. They can still sit on their ass all day and watch tv while the rest of the world goes to shit.

So... to all those knee-jerk reactionary imbeciles who start shouting that our freedom is being taken away... go eat a big mac, go sit on your ass, and shut the fuck up.
