The White Rapper Show: Grown Ass Men
    Tuesday. 2.6.07 2:36 pm
    She's soooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaad...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzhs0ZO7TIE

In by far the most entertaining episode of "The White Rapper Show," Grown Ass Men Sullee, John Brown and Jon Boy make complete UnCut asscakes of themselves while Persia, Shamrock and Jus Rhyme bring us Throwback Thursday a tad early.

    Do the Jerry Lewis!

As we now expect, MC Serch wastes no time in embarrassing these kids. Right off the bat, the 6 remaining trailblazers are coerced into Marc Ecko's Swap Meet Challenge. In each team's case, three people have to get fresh with $300... in 2006.

I remember back in the early 90s when my SYEP check would do just that. For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Summer Youth Enslavement Preparation is about 7 weeks of usually backbreaking child labor for like $300. That money barely got a nigga right for the school year. I shudder to think what kind of knockoff gear a youngster would be forced to don in this day and age on a budget like that.

I must say, Shamrock's leeriness of Jus Rhyme was 150% warranted. Powder's string of ideas was probably the most hilarious minute-and-a-half of programming this show had produced to that point. Homie came out in full-on Richard Simmons mode.

"Mmm-hmmm. How about we put lavendar and green earrings on you, Shammy. Persia, let's get you in some Ooompa Loompa one-piece, and I'll get the sweatpants with the cut-off wifebeater. Yes. Definitely 'Street on Vacation.'"

Meanwhile, put a little funky $300 in some people's hands and they lose their goddamn minds. Jon Boy in the damn sneaker store signing autographs and shit! Dude is entirely too gassed to notice that the man who asked him is 3rd and Goal on the 1-yard line. He's obviously also too gassed to notice that the entire South Bronx is trying to figure out a way to cover its ears. If Giuliani hadn't locked all the gangsters up already, there'd be a Saturday Night Special in his mouth.

Fuck Giuliani. Sometimes a neighborhood needs to police itself.

Persia's "Gangsta's Paradise" collective came to the challenge looking like a Teletubby exploded on them. Coolio must be rolling over in his grave.

    Coolio is dead, right?

Anyway, as per usual, they aren't going to just get dressed and walk a runway. They're competing to be the flyest dogwalkers in Crotona Park. Under normal circumstances, the flyest dogwalker in Crotona is the one not heating a glass bulb. Under these circumstances, the flyest dogwalker is to be determined by former Crotona's Next Top Dogwalker winner, Polka-Dot Ass Kwame.

I can't stop laughing at Serch saying "so Kwame and I are going to be the judges--." I'm sorry. I can't.

Kwame judging fashion? Even in '89 I thought this nigga was on the "Karma Chameleon" side of things. Didn't niggas think that the 90s would be over one day and that there would be videotaped evidence? Dude still looks a hot ghetto mess. I thought it was Bobby Brown at first.

After losing the challenge to Persia and a pooch with matching pumps, Sullee finally has his emotional breakdown, citing the elimination rounds of a VH1 reality series as "too stressful." Well damn, Sullivan. If this shit is too stressful, I don't think you're cut out for the real rap game, Heffy.

Fortunately for us, the rappers and what's left of the program's credibility, the challenge that actually matters lies ahead. The teams have to write, record and shoot a video for a song they create in a couple hours' time. After they select their props 4th grade kickball-style, Serch presents Persia with her prize for catching Kwame's eye with high heels.

VH1, Ego Trip & Serchlight Publishing present: Miniature Negro in a Cage!

That's right, for your personal amusement you can rent Bushwick Bill! Complete with iron cage, this delightful little dreaded eggplant leprechaun will brighten your Saturday afternoons with party-rockin tricks like the running man. The best part, you only have to change his diaper once daily. Slap a Fitti on the nigga in the morning and he's good to go for 18 hours.

As you can see above, One-Take Bobby Sullivan & Co. created a complete embarrassment to the genre while "Gangsta's Paradise" was smart enough to go the DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince route with what they had. Superstar rap video director Little X agrees. "She's A Stunner" is bullshit the likes of which you'd find on The Negro Channel at 3:22am immediately following or preceding "Slap It, Clap It" or "Money In A Ziploc Bag (Uh Huh)."

"She's A Stunner" is what Monday Madness is all about though. Quiet little Virginia Jon Boy Walton has finally found himself! That boy was born to stunt! Let him live!

*cue Diana Ross - "I'm Comin' Out"*

Obviously, the Grown Ass Men found themselves in the Cold Ass Ice Chamber fighting for their minstrel show lives. When given the topic (battle rap your teammates), Sullee and Jon Boy, who apparently both voted for Bush (not a good look), decided to put on the "Stop Snitching" t-shirts they got at the swap meet. As a result, both contestants became "The Departed."

Serch proclaimed that he would toss all three losers if all three verses were weak, but he needed four contestants for next week, so John Brown was spared.

    Hallelujah. Holler back.

    Awards continue this week.

The Game's Sophomore Set Pushed Back
    Saturday. 9.16.06 11:45 am

Friday - September 15, 2006 by Alexis Chase
    The Game

The Game's sophomore album The Doctor's Advocate is taking a little longer than expected. Instead of November 7th the Black Wall Street/Geffen release is now scheduled to drop a week later on November 14th.

Last month it was confirmed that the Game would be releasing his second album on his own Black Wall Street label through Geffen Records, rather than through G-Unit/Aftermath. Since the release of his debut album The Documentary Game has experienced ongoing friction with rapper and head of G-Unit 50 Cent. The rapper born Jayceon Taylor has been at the center of several controversies as of late. As SOHH previously reported, Game was involved in an altercation with fellow California rapper Ras Kass at a Los Angeles night club just this week.

While Game's current single "It's Ok (One Blood)" is getting plenty of burn on radio, the label is also planning to drop a second track, and work both singles simultaneously. The new song "Let's Ride" was produced by Scott Storch.

In addition to Storch, fans can expect to hear production from Timbaland, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, Kanye West and Dr. Dre. Game's manager Jimmy Rosemond spoke with SOHH last month to confirm that despite his move from Aftermath, Game would continue to work with Dr. Dre. In addition to Junior Reid, who appears on "It's Ok," The Doctor's Advocate features guest collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Nas, among others.

The Doctor's Advocate will be available on November 14th.

DMX Calls Jay-Z A "Sucker For Love," Young Buck Comments On Cash Money Kiss, Pimp C Talks Ish About The East, Mos Def Vs Luda
    Saturday. 9.16.06 11:48 am

Friday - September 15, 2006 by Dick Johnson w/ additional reporting by Carl Chery
    DMX

In this week's Pulse Report, the streets are buzzing about DMX flip-flopping, Young Buck commenting on Cash Money's kissing, Mos Def beating Ludacris and Danger Mouse remixing Paris Hilton.

    1. DMX flips on sandals. Forget pink, real men don't wear sandals...according to DMX at least. Taking a page from his buddy Cam'Ron, X recently denounced Jay-Z's flip-flop penchant. "The flip-flops- he's just not the same," X told Vibe Magazine regarding Hov. "It's Beyonce. He's a sucker for love. Thugs don't do flip flops." Wanna how serious it is? "Yo, no matter how much vacation I'm on - we been to St. Thomas, Bahamas, all the little islands - I don't wear no flip-flops," he continued. "I'm never that comfortable, not even in my own house."

    2. Young Buck comments on Baby and Lil' Wayne kissing. In case you got distracted by claims that Gillie Da Kid wrote for Weezy, the Philly rapper also revealed that he witnessed Weezy kissing Baby while he ran with Cash Money Records. While he didn't get graphic, heads can take into consideration the two's father-son relationship and paint the picture themselves. During a recent appearance on DJ Kay Slay's "The Drama Hour" on Sirius Satellite Radio, Young Buck answered when asked if he ever witnessed dudes kissing around the Cash Money camp. "I seen that shit go. I ain't gon lie. Any nigga gon let you...that's some gay ass shit," Buck told Slay in disbelief. "At the end of the day, the shit went on. But I can co-sign my homeboy B.G., that's my motherfuckin homeboy. He ain't even play that shit. Juvey, he stay far from shit. Now, Lil' Wayne my nigga, but shit! And Turk, that's my nigga, he locked up in the pen, I hold him down, but shit. Motherfuckers was playing like that amongst each other on they bus and shit. But at the end of the day, to each his fucking own."

Earlier in the broadcast, Buck revealed that while Snap Music was cool, it wasn't for him. "It's different. I ain't got nothing bad to say about it. I can't rock with it, cause I ain't really the type of person that really can fuck with the whole dance," Buck explained. "Gangsta niggas don't do certain shit."

    3. Pimp C says hip-hop is alive and well. Well, by the looks of things the "hip-hop is dead" bandwagon is still cruising. Earlier this year, 50 Cent, Ghostface Killah and even Smoke of Field Mob hinted or blatantly targeted finger-snapping rappers for hip-hop's demise. But wait, tuh, tuh, tuh, tuhhhhh! Fresh from stinking up the "RapCity" booth, here comes Pimp, cape on his back, at the South and hip-hop's defense. But seriously, here's what he had to say. "Y'all stop cryin' mayne, on the east. Y'all been eating for years... We all got grillz in our mouth, now they want grillz in they mouth on the east," the legendary UGK member shared on 97.9 The Box. "I ain't trippin', do your thing. But, don't be crying that hip-hop's dead. If hip-hop's dead, it's y'all fault that hip-hop's dead. So, get your backpack, jump on the train and get your paying gig up and get in the know." Hummmmm! What ya'll think.

    4. Mos Def beats Luda. No, not in that way. Black Dante didn't swell Luda's lip. Neither did he school "The Mouth of the South" in a secret emcee battle. Nope! During a Q&A at the recent Billboard Music Conference, Luda revealed that the Brooklyn lyricist is the only actor ever to beat him out of an acting role. Yes, with a bit more luck Cris just may have starred alongside Bruce Willis in 16 Blocks. It's all good. Luda got other flicks in the works. But it's all about music these days. Luda merked the hell out of the "Cannon" freestyle and "Money Maker" is steaming up the radio charts. Always thinking ahead, Luda has unveiled the titled of his next album. "It's theater of the mind," Luda offered. "The way I rhyme I want you to visualize what I am talking about. It's like painting."

    5. Danger Mouse remixes Paris. First The Beatles, then MF Doom, later Gnarls Barkley and now Paris Hilton? Yep! Word is the production work horse has remixed Hilton's album in its entirety. Fear not backpackers, he's actually mocking her. Word is the insert features compromising...well, considering how Vivid Video-friendly Paris is, not so compromising photos. Actually, word is the sleeve features a photo of Paris with a dog's head. Anyway, though only 500 copies were meant to hit the streets, the Paris compilation is reportedly spreading like The Grey Album. Following the paths of legendary bootlegs like the R. Kelly tape, the Paris remix somehow landed on HMV's shelves.
