Tyrese is reportedly under investigation for allegedly punching his pregnant live-in girlfriend in the thigh and arm earlier this morning (January 4).

According to authorities who spoke to TMZ.com, Tyrese's girlfriend, who is five months pregnant, claimed that the two got into a heated argument at their Los Angeles home at around 5:30 a.m., which lead to the singer/actor punching her twice.

Tyrese had already driven away from the scene when paramedics arrived. The singer and representatives from his camp have yet to release a comment on the incident.

At press time, representatives for Tyrese nor his record label, J Records, could be reached for comment.

Tyrese recently released his fourth album, a double disc titled Alter Ego, which featured him singing on one disc and rapping under the moniker Black-Ty on the other. The album featured appearances from Lil Jon, R. Kelly, Mannie Fresh, The Game, Kurupt and Snoop Dogg, among others.

I hope everybody had a good weekend. Atlanta had the usual hot spots off and poppin this weekend. You have Club 112 on Friday’s, as well as the Compound, and the Velvet Room on Saturday’s. I don’t know what happens on Sunday’s because my ass is usually at home writing and getting my black ass ready to work for the man early Monday morning. Yeap, your boy holds down a corporate job.

In keeping with the video theme we got going on here at Sohh.com I’ve decided to start showing older videos of our favorite Atlanta artists. You know, the ones that made us all bounce our heads when we used to blaze down 20 doing 90, or was that just me?

Atlanta's got so many hip-hop heads that have been doing it for quite some time now. I think we should remember them and give them their shine too. Sometimes in order to go forward we got to look back (god that was corny). I bring you the first video from “Sohh’s Classic Video Re-Run”Kris Kross was a young rap duo of the early 1990s most famous for wearing their clothes backwards. The two members of Kris Kross were Chris (Mac Daddy) Kelly (born May 1, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) and Chris (Daddy Mac) Smith (born January 10, 1979, also in Atlanta).
After the group's demise, Kelly and Smith began writing and producing albums. In 2003 both Smith and Kelly announced plans to come back into the "rap game" - "hitting heavier and harder than they ever had". However, nothing has come of this announcement.

There are numerous reports on the internet and elsewhere that Smith had leukemia, as he appears in later videos with a shaved head, with various internet rumors that he died in the early 2000's. These are all unverified, and Smith has been seen on television appearances even after being rumored dead.

WTF is up with hip hop when a video like this is the talk of the weekend?

It is some funny shit though. And now that this video of NY rappers EnJ and Niks has hit the Tube, EnJ (the dude who threw the punch) is getting blogger attention left and right. He talked with the folks over at RRID recently about what made him hit Niks. Not only did he just sound like a salty ass dude, but this shit continued with EnJ robbing Niks at a later date. Apparently, they had some beef prior to the battle. Whatever. Damn shame.

So word on the streetz is that this chick Angel Fershgenet a.k.a. Lola Luv is in the works of signing a deal with G-Unit as their hottest female rapper. She's 20 years old, measurements are 36D-22-40 for those of you wondering, and has appeared in several G-Unit videos already.
Maybe this will be the ammunition to give Olivia's ass the boot.

It's not a done deal but the GMC VPs are saying they would love to have Jay-Z pair up with them to make this Denali a reality. This dude is doing some ridiculous big things....

Whitney Houston, R. Kelly and Anthony Hamilton are among the many singers to be featured on upcoming soundtrack to Tyler Perry's new movie, "Daddy's Little Girls."

The soundtrack for the romantic drama, which hits theaters on February 14, also features R. Kelly, Yolanda Adams, Brian McKnight, Beyonce and Tamika Scott (formerly of Xscape), among others.

The highlight of the CD has Houston teaming up with her aunt, Dionne Warwick, and her mother, Cissy Houston, for "Family First," the first ever recorded song by the Houston family.

"Daddy's Little Girls" is writer/director Tyler Perry's follow to the box office hits "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman" and "Madea's Family Reunion," and stars Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba, Tasha Smith, Gary Sturgis, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Academy Award-winner Lou Gossett, Jr. For more info fans can check out the film's website.

The soundtrack to "Daddy's Little Girls" will be available in stores on January 16.

The song is aiight. It doesn’t sound any different then any other slow rap song out their. For Yung to be trying to drop that second album he might want to come a little harder then this.

No disrespect to Joc but why does he look like a turtle to me? If you’ve ever seen “The Never Ending Story” they had this big ass turtle in the movie (am I showing my age) and to me he looks exactly that. Ladies y’all better be careful where you slide down them poles. A woman died early Saturday after being shot in the leg inside Platinum Club 21. I used to go the spot all the time but they be having TOO much drama for me. In August, 32-year-old Jermaine Wright was fatally shot after an altercation with a dude outside the club.

When I go out to a strip joint I like to get my look on, sip on some drinks and feel on the occasional booty. But at Platinum you betta have your gat or it could be a muthafuckin problem. My heart goes out to the family. My homeboy who works there was reluctant to give me her name So, I’ll just call her phatty because I heard she had a Phat ass. Phatty R.I.P.
