Bonecrusher Becomes A Fit Celebrity, Hi-FliTones Got 'Dem Gutter Ringtones
    Wednesday. 10.4.06 9:25 pm

Props go out to Bonecrusher who set The Celebrity Fit Club record for the most individual weight loss ever by dropping 19 lbs in one week, and a combined total loss of over 50 pounds.

BoneCrusher is working on a rock/rap album featuring Jim Johnson of the super producing group Usual Suspects, Good Charlotte, Billy Hume ( Lil Jon, Ludacris, David Banner, Left Front Tire, Black Crows) and Bread and Water (Tupac), to be released on his own label, Vanglorious Entertainment.

"I got a bunch of crazy black boys that like that metal shit, explains BoneCrusher. That’s why we named the band The Onslaught, and I’m not just rapping on this record, I do a little singing too."

(If he can pull this one off...But why not, Jada did it. That's what we need though, artists taking more chances and jumping outside of the "box")

He's also expected to release his new LP entitled Release The Beast on 845 Entertainment/Bodyhead featuring the lead single “Southern Gorillas”.

Last week, Atlanta-based ringtone company Hi-Fli Tones launched its new website, as well as an aggressive grassroots and viral marketing campaign. The website features ringtones from DJ Unk, Yola the Great, Shawty-Lo and Slick Pulla among others. The ringtone website is already seeing record activity and sales. Hi-Fli Tones is using its street credibility and authenticity to take the ringtone industry into uncharted territory.

Hi-Fli Tones' company's aim is to offer an array of exclusive hip hop ringtones, songs, wallpaper, videos, and more from today’s underground artists in an attempt to become the go-to spot for what’s hot on the streets.

Kanye Wants Off Def Jam? 50 and Game Kiss And Make Up?
    Wednesday. 10.4.06 9:35 pm

I've been hearing from some sources that Mr. West wants off of Def Jam pretty badly. Supposedly he's told folks that Def Jam doesn't give him full creative control of his LPs. And y'all know Kanye aint havin' that. I heard Def wasn't going to let "Crack Music" make the cut originally, but Kanye had to sweat them to get it on. It seems like everybody these days wants off -- or is getting kicked off -- of Def Jam. What's really good with the label?

And the saga continues. Game hit up Hot 97 -- well, a studio in NY since he's banned from Hot 97 offices -- Friday (Sept. 29th) night to talk to Angie Martinez. According to him, he's ready to make nice with his former friend 50 cent. He practically begged Angie Mar to get 50 to call up there so they can work out their problems on air right then and there. He said:

"[I want] just to talk and just to see where our heads are and see if maybe we can come to an even playing field -- respectfully to each other. [I want to] see if we can figure it out [as] grown-ups."

I don't know what brought this change of heart on but I guess it's a good thing...even if he is trying to continue to stir up controversy before his album drops in November. He also said that back when they were forced to makeup, right after the whole G-Unot movement hit the streets and a member of 50's crew was shot outside of Hot 97 studios, neither was ready They only did it because they were forced to, so the fued continued.

And for those of you who doubted my info last week about Game not having Dre on his album this time around, he re-confirmed it to Angie Mar:

"Dre is not on the album. No Dre involvement on this album. If you looking to buy my album just because Dre did a beat or two, leave it on the shelf."

Dude still has respect for Dre, but he's trying to make a name for himself beat wise. And word on the street is that he did actually have some joints with Dre that were going to be included originally, but he changed his mind because he doesn't want people to think his success was only due to Dre's beats.

This whole Game and 50 beef shit is wack anyway. Niggas be going to the same parties and shit talking about they gon kill each other. Both were at the VMAs and neither one of them did anything. That's why I don't take beef seriously. Once again though, much success to the Game.

Oh boy, Game sounds like a woman scorned....he missess his boyfriend...LOL!!!...Didn't I say last month that these 2 should kiss & make up???...maybe he knows his album will flop without 50 & Dre.....!!!!

something really weird about the game . How can you rant and rave about someone for a year . Than try to make up

    Posted by: youngme226 at October 2, 2006 11:01 AM

IT IS OFFICIAL GAME IS OVER AND HE KNOWS IT. HE IS TRYING TO PROMOTE HIS ALBUM AND HE IS SEEING WHAT 50 SAID WAS TRUE. HE IS ON HIS OWN AND HE DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING THAT IS GOING TO CAUSE A BUZZ. HE IS FISHING NOW. HE HAS HEARD SCRAPPY'S STUFF AND HE HAS HEARD BUCK'S NEW STUFF HE KNOWS THEY ARE BANGERS AND THEY WILL SELL AND NOT FLOP. I DON;T KNOW ABOUT BANKS HE CANT SEEM TO GET ANY STEAM. 50 SAID THAT THERE WOULD BE NO DRE ON THE ALBUM NOW HE WANTS TO SAY IT WAS HIS CALL. 50 SAID HE WOULD COULD CALL IT THE DOCTOR'S ADVOCATE SO PEOPLE WOULD ASSOCIATE IT WITH DRE BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT DRE KNOWS 50 IS RIGHT ON THIS AND IF GAME BIT 50'S HAND HE WILL EVENTUALLY BITE DRE'S. GAME CAN TELL EVERYONE THAT 50 DID NOT MAKE HIS FIRST ALBUM HOT BUT IT OBVIOUS THAT DRE KNOWS WHO MADE IT HOT.

40 glocc should murk game and just get it overwith already.

Janet, Beyonce and Tina... Don't Gag, Sh*t Happens
    Wednesday. 10.4.06 9:58 pm
Last night I went to the Fat Joe listening session held at the Virgin Records cafeteria hosted by Joe himself. As Joe's bangin' new set filled the air, so did this weird eeri-ness that something just wasn't right.

There was a lot of whispering, some of it was in agreement that Me, Myself and I is some of Joe's best shit yet. That joint with him and the Game is sure to be a hit. However the majority of the people there were talking about how Janet Jackson didn't debut at #1 according to Hits Daily Double. Some wondered would the numbers be massaged a little for the more official Billboard report. Funny thing is, Def Jam had already claimed their victory. As we walked up to the Virgin Records office, Ludacris' street team had covered the entire block with his posters as if 5th Avenue were Peachtree Street or Camberton Road.

A lot of people are gagging this morning. Some heads should roll. One in particular being [CENSORED]. That negro should be the first to go. He's turned down major promotional ideas and he'd been overheard saying in days prior, "I don't need her to sell big numbers, I just need her to debut at #1." Just another example of them resting on their laurels and underestimating the fans and the competition.

Beyonce and Tina Knowles seemed to have gagged themselves when CBS reporter Dorothy Tucker sat down to interview the two ladies about the clothing line House of Dereon. Tucker asked a few easy questions about who the line was designed for and why did they choose Chicago as a place to promote it etc. Then shorly thereafter Tucker went in for the kill.

    From MTV News:

"They're beautiful [clothes]," she started, "but the next question — I don't quite understand it, and maybe you guys can explain it for me — your clothes are sold in about a dozen stores in the Chicago area. We did get a phone call from a couple of those stores who said they had to send the production back, that there was a poor fit, the tops weren't ..."

As soon as Tucker started raising the concerns she'd heard from local retailers, Tina Knowles cut her off — and asked that the videotape that had been rolling be cut off as well. "Why would you — wait, wait, wait — we're going to cut that off. Why would you do that? You're here to interview us about the clothes, in a positive light."

In true fashion, Beyonce sat there blank faced. Watch the video and read full story here.

Conversely that hate fest, is eclipsed by this love fest.

Damn, what it must feel like to be this chick. We put them through hell!

But whatever... the new joint of the day is "Private" One Chance featuring Akon (produced by Ryan Leslie).

LOl. See that is the interview that we were talking about yesterday. Or was it the other day. Someone fire TINA. And while you're at it, staple a size chart to BEYONCE's forhead, so she can remember what it is to be bootylicious. I must say that my Dereon jeans are fitting type nicely. But the shirts are wayyyyyy off. No booby room.

As far as JANET goes, I have always been under the impression that she doesn't do so well out the gate, but once she tours, she sells. She is an artist that makes more money off of performing than album sales. So, I guess we will see in time. The numbers still do not reflect on the album's great content. It is a banger.

cosign, we'll see what she does in the long run, but somebody please tell Tina to sit her ass down and stop living her life through her daughter, the clothing line sucks and Tina needs to let her daughter speak up for herself, does anyone recall how Janet fired her father as her manager, well Beyonce better get rid of her parents because they are just crazy!!!!!! but anyways I'm still gonna support Janet, but it is funny about her numbers something don't add up, we'll see what they are whenn billboard reports them.

oh yeah not feeling that Monica album.

Pulse Report:The Game Recycles, Lil' Wayne And Trina Get Inked, Freddie Foxx Pits Rakim Against Nas, Timbaland Works With 80's Pop Stars
    Friday. 10.6.06 10:28 pm

In this week's Pulse Report, the streets are buzzing about The Game recycling his album cover for The Doctor's Advocate, Lil' Wayne and Trina's tattoos and Freddie Foxxx's diss song to Rakim.

    1. Game recycles Documentary cover for The Doctor's Advocate. Wow! For as much caca as I speak in this column, I'm damn near speechless. Why Game, why? Reduced budget? Is the ink from his butterfly tat seeping into his brain? Ladies and gentlemen, Game's cover for his soon to be released, The Doctor's Advocate bares a striking resemblance to the one for his debut, The Documentary. There's hardly any change. The cover is black rather than white, Game is sitting on platinum tires instead of gold ones, his head is down rather than lifted up and he's sitting a bit to the left. That's it! Oh, and he's rocking beige khakis rather than black pants, revealing his underwear. Bet you them is the same drawls he wore for the first cover's photo shoot too. Ewwwwww!

    2. Lil' Wayne and Trina tattoos exposed. Funny that this former couple's tattoos should be revealed on a week where Trina is spotted dutty wining on some dude and Weezy is unveiled as Solange Knowles' main squeeze. Apparently the self-proclaimed baddest chick got "Wayne" tattooed on her wrist while she was with the New Orleans rapper. Word is Weezy reciprocated by tattooing Trina's name on his left hand's ring finger, the same finger that now allegedly caresses Solange's ...whatever. Yes, Weezy ain't too bad on the boards, oops, broads. Solange is apparently his rebound. Not bad, sir. Not bad.

    3. Freddie Foxxx strikes again. Only days after Foxxx called out Rakim, a track was released onto the streets and internet. While Nas has been heralded as the second coming of Ra since he began buzzing in the early 90s, Bumpy reveals that the God actually wasn't too fond of the Queens lyricist. "Boom, I see doom / for all these Rakim fans in the motherfuckin room / Sorry for the let down, but here's a fact / Eric B. wanted Nas and Ra said he was wack / Jesus was black / so Nas you ain't God's son cause he won't do the track / I'm telling you fact." Daaaaammmnnn, Bumpy!

    4. Timbaland to work with Duran Duran. Timbo is bored with rap. Can anybody tell? First Nelly Furtado, then Justin Timberlake and now, Mr. Mosley is set to work with legendary pop group Duran Duran. "This is the best thing that could have happened to us. It relights your fire, baby," Duran's lead singer Simon Le Bon told the New York Daily News. "[Timbaland] works very quickly. We're usually slow as snails. It's quite a challenge, and we had to change the way we play, really. Particularly me. I had to be able to come up with ideas very quickly on the microphone. Just do it. Have new lyrics the next day - or that evening." Word is collabos with Timberlake, Gnarls Barkley and will.i.am may also take place.

"50 Cent Put Me on 2Pac's Album" - Chamillionaire
    Friday. 10.6.06 10:54 pm
Unless I was high on H2O, that's exactly what Chamillionaire said at his platinum party last night. The announcement arrived while he was presenting his customary "from nothing to something" testimony. Thankfully, that wasn't even the best part of his speech. Cham, not surprisingly, had a message for Mr. Paul Wall.

"There ain't no beef," said the Koopa emphatically...5 times. "All that shit is dead. You won't hear anything that even sounds like a subliminal come out of my mouth. If you hear something that sounds like it was a subliminal shot, it's not. Just to let y'all know ahead of time." He then proceeded to give a shout out to Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Bun B, Pimp C, and of course, Paul Wall. You had to be there to see the crowd's approval when he said "Shout out to Paul Wall."

Then, looking up as if something had suddenly smashed him over the head, Cham realized he had forgotten one person.

"Shout out to Lil' Flip. I know a lot of people hate on Flip, but he ain't did nothing to me. He was on my album."

He also performed his Flipperachi-assisted hit single, "Turn it Up," after informing the crowd that "this was the one that took me to 500,000. A lot of people forget about this one. But, this is the one that started it all."

The best part of his set that night, however, was the well-executed rendition of "N Luv With My Money" from the much-referenced Chamillionaire/Paul Wall collaborative effort, Get Ya Mind Correct. (You know what, I should review that album here one of these days.)

Killer Mike, Lil O, ESG, and Big Hawk's wife were all presented with Sound of Revenge platinum plaques.

I'll have some pictures from the event for you later in the day.

For now, go watch a drunk-as-hell Beyonce and Jay-Z get harassed by paparazzi in the U.K.

Sammie Drops His Rowdy Debut, TJ's DJ's Holding Annual Music Conference
    Wednesday. 10.11.06 11:02 pm
"You and Me Gurl We Can Do The Thang...We Can Do The Thang, We Can Do The Thang" --Sammie

A word to the wise, fellas. If you throw on "You Should Be My Girl" in the presence of a female then you've done good. The ladies are loving this joint, and if you made it to the For Sister's Only event yesterday (Oct. 10) then you already know what I'm saying to you is true

Why am I talking about this track? Well, Sammie released his self-titled album yesterday despite the fact that nobody was really talking about it. It's somewhat surprising considering how hot his song is right now. It's easy to see why Dallas Austin signed him to Rowdy Records.

Sammie also has production on the album from producers Daron Jones, Jazze Pha, Bryan Michael Cox, Dallas Austin, Dre & Vidal.

Also, the 4th Quarter TJ’s DJ’s Tastemakers Only DJ/Music Conference is set to take place Thursday, October 26. There will be 1,200+ DJs, artists, labels, models, producers, media outlets, and other Tastemakers at The Moon for this event.

This is also Florida A&M University's homecoming. FAMU’s Homecoming draws close to 100,000 thousand alumni and double that many "non-alumni" but it should be a good weekend in Tallahassee.

Once again, don't forget to log onto TeenMusic.com this today at 6pm EST/3pm PST to chat live with DTP's Lady of Soul Shareefa!
