Welcome to Not Getting Run Over By A Forklift 101. For our first lesson we'll... ack! No. NO! What a terrible way to start the class!

But aren't solar-powered vampires a bit impractical?

Did you know I have somewhere around one hundred forty entires?

The primary function of the United States Coast Guard (besides protecting the borders and patroling national waters) is to travel back in time and battle pirates!

If wishes were squids, then beggars would write. With the ink, you see. The ink of SO MANY SQUIDS.

So I ended up doing a lot of stuff yesterday. I had to wake up at about five AM to get ready for and get to work by six. When I got there, I went into the break room to clock in and apparently the night crew (security guards, mostly) at Circuit City gets pretty bored. I walked in and immediately steped into a convieniently placed bucket of water at the bottom of the stairs, soaking my right foot. I yelled and walked into the middle because there weren't lights on and, all of a sudden, they came on and the staff jumped out and shouted, "Suprise! Happy Birthday!" I was trying to say it wasn't my birthday and stuff while shaking the water off of my foot, then someone had the decency to yell, "April Fools!" At that point, I threw my shoe at Steve. They put my shoe in the dryer-thing and I went off to unload a shipment and log it... I had a little trouble with that, too, but I'm not going to get into detail.

I got off at 11:30 and caught the bus back to Millbrae and went to Alda's party. It was pretty cool. I got into the backyard and met a whole bunch of new people and they're pretty cool. At least the guys are anyway. I'm not sure if there were any girls I didn't know. At any rate, Alda was going nuts trying to keep everyone entertained and fed and whatnot and I was trying to help, but I gave up after a couple of hours... She's quite stubborn when she wants to be. Let's see. There was also a grill fire, which was odd. Her grill is kinda connected to her house, so we ended up lighting her house on fire. After getting her soaked with the hose accidentally, we sat down and played cards and ate. Nittin was having a rather good time losing, for some reason. Anyway, I looked back over to the grill because I smelled smoke again and, sure enough, it was on fire again. Alda's friends and I took the wooden thing above the grill apart and doused everything again and we're pretty sure it went out. That sort of killed the mood for playing cards outside, so we went into the living room and ate and played cards and watched some oddball movie. Not too much of great interest happened after that, though Alda did get caked... which was funny, I guess, but she did seem a bit irritated. I had to leave a little after that to get back to work, though, or else they would have kept me longer and I wouldn't have been able to take the bus back to Millbrae for Art History.

Okay, so maybe I didn't do a lot, but it kept me entertained for a day, which is always good, right?

Later, DS
